It's rare that I see a house where I'd change nothing. This is one of them. Visually, it looks like the house connects to the surrounding environment. Wood, stone, marble....beautiful house.
Love seeing your son. His enthusiasm and excitement are a breath of fresh air . It’s a beautiful home for the right person/family . You’re right, it does remind me of a California home Because of the finishes, design, and the appliances, I would consider it a contemporary style. It’s a fair price for the right kind of people. I would definitely budget in extra money for maintenance, repairs, and upkeep. BTW- The bathrooms appear to be fine. What kind of bathrooms are considered “modern”? The only thing that might be considered “dated” is the sliding closet doors. That not a huge deal, but it could easily be changed.
This house really has it going on. Well maintained-a real entertainer's home. It really needs a buyer who knows how to accentuate its beauty with complimentary furniture. Very nice. On another note, you two are a cute pair. Love to see it.
This house is so Me! In Nigeria we have a sink in or near the dining room so ppl don't have to run to the bathroom just to wash their hands, and even in America we don't really like ppl washing their hands in the kitchen sink. I would definitely steal space from the Master Suite to open up the bathroom and get a bigger closet. Overall I like the house, I would warm it up with LOTS of plants, some window treatments, probably sheers, and very comfortable contemporary furniture, soft wool rugs, and ambient lighting.
I absolutely love that home. Few mins into the video and had to pause to take in the architect! I am obsessed with mid century modern, so it's a yes for me.
That home is great for entertainment. Open concept. If I had to pick one thing I didn’t like was the curb appeal. Too many trees around the house. But that can be fixed. Beautiful property.
I love it when you have your son. He opens ALL DOORS. I love the house with all the different themes happening. It's different and not a cookie-cutter. I like different.
Yay you have your son again! Love the house, I live in California and it totally reminds me of the some of the houses out here. That price isn’t bad too.
Overall it's a nice house. Things I would fix: 1. Needs more curb appeal. Landscaping helps with selling the house. Some minor work outside would've gone a long way. 2. I prefer electric for cooking and heating. Install solar paneling if not already in use. 3. Open windows need window treatments. Maintenance of wood fixtures is a must. I wouldn't want it for myself but make it a little more presentable to sell.
I would DEFINITELY purchase this home, IF I had the $. It is priced right for the market/area of Reston, VA. I like the bathroom variations, the old/modern touch/wood is JUST the right amount. If there is ANYTHING that I would change, it would be that small, random sink in the corner. The fish tanks would have to go! Too much work to manage even a small aquarium. Of course, this is just my opinion/preferencs. 😉 Nice to see you Daniel. 🙂
This place is amazing for a very creative artisan. They could run an Etsy shop or any other creative business from home. Jonathan, thank you for taking us in here. I am sure this is a buyer specific location. It’s not something I would be interested in but was very interesting. That is a lot of area to keep clean but it looks like someone very creative lives there.
I almost said no after that spiral staircase but that surprise in the lower level won me over! I like it with an asterik! I would want to update the bathrooms to one uniform style for the house and that main bathroom needs some reworking because the biggest bedroom needs more than those too small closets inside of an unventilated bathroom. A couple that likes to entertain could really make this house into a gem.
So good to see Daniel! Such a handsome young man. I love the outdoor patio the most and the primary bedroom with all the windows looking at the trees is very nice. Maybe if they had staged it I would have a better sense of the vibe of it. I love the sauna too - my husband and I always wanted to put in a sauna. Other than that I’m not overly wowed by it. Reston is a nice area.
I like this house. It's fun and spacious. Sure a few updates here and there but every house needs something. The price seems great. I'm sure it'll sell soon.
I really love this house. I would probably change the black marble bath in the primary as it is just not me but otherwise I really like this one. Love the mix of old and new.
It’s a house that will attract a certain type of buyer; they love the amount of wood and have the budget to upgrade the mid century design to match the modern upgrade or be ok with the eclectic design styles throughout the house.
Great walk through as usual. This house sort of reminds me of the Shark Fin house you showed a few weeks ago. I really think this house is very cool with all the different angles and its roof line. I love the open kitchen area and really wouldn't change anything except get rid of that tiny sink and rearrange the fridge. New paint colors, new doors, window treatments and some updates to the bathrooms except for the blue bathroom. I really like the retro look of it. Great house for entertaining all year around.
You could also paint the wood beam ceiling white, black or gray and it'll open it up more. I'm really loving this house. The updates are nice. Love the kitchen.
Cool house, overall. Some unique and different elements without being "weird." One thing I hate - and this is just a personal quirk that I always notice - is when a refrigerator doesnt have a panel or wall on the exposed side. So in this floorplan, from the living/dining area, I don't want to be staring at the ugly side of a refrigerator. LOL I always want to see it "capped off" with a panel to match the cabinets if not a wall. Just a personal observation I tend to always notice in properties.
Yeah. When I first saw the fridge I didn’t notice it, but later when I was in the kitchen, it seemed like it was just sitting there in the middle of the floor next to the oven. I like your suggestion
Love THAT kitchen!! Beautiful view of the outdoors from those windows. This is a house for those who entertain all the time. You could hold a small wedding on that deck, and transform to a party atmosphere afterwards. Nice to see the windows on the bottom level are connected via an alarm system.
Hey, cool house. Love the deck area, however Gives me kind a creepy lol! It’s a no for me, but I’m quite sure it will fit a family. Thank you for sharing. I couldn’t imagine a family with younger kids, it would possibly work with teenagers and they would love this house because it’s a lot of ways to get out or let someone in 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤣🤣
Thanka for showing us this home. I generally like it. I think the lack of closet space in the primary is the biggest draw back. Please provide comps in your evaluations. Us watching that arent from the area have no idea if 1.5 is way over or under priced. This could help with aome context.
Great suggestion! The surrounding homes and schools are major contributors. Considering the location, it is likely much higher and larger than the surrounding homes in that area. Not many family homes are over 6,000 square feet.
Hi Jonathan, tell your handsome son, I said Hi. I can see the excitement in your son, a cool young man, taken after his dad. Jonathan, there you go again with those "showers trying out, I guess you will be trying them all out in your videos, I definitely have no problem with it for sure, I just laugh and shake my head. Nice house, but it's TOO big for me. Peace and Blessings to you and your family.
I really like this house. My one major concern would be cost of ownership on a house like this. It can’t be cheap! I’m willing to bet that’s what factors into the seemingly low price.
I love it, with my son, his wife, her mom, me, along with step dtr and 4 kids. We could work it. Everybody help with the mtg...lol. yep. I'm in. No changes needed, the son can do that. 😊
I like this house. It has a couple of quirks but nothing I couldn't live with. Of course I'd need to be a millionaire to afford it but I really could live here.
I like the house! I don't care if the bathrooms are older -- boy, everyone seems to be so PICKY! I used to be glad if the homes I looked to buy had a toilet stool that would flush and now everything has to be perfect. I think the price is great and I'm in Texas where prices are considerably lower than California. I wouldn't want to live in California tho. Nope. I wouldn't fit in out there . Daniel is a cutie. I noticed his socks matched this time, maybe the two color socks is out of style now. I named my son Daniel as well. I thought it sounded like a stable, honorable man and he did turn out that way. I'm sure your Daniel will too.
I'll take it as is I love the size of the rooms I even love the awkward layout. However I'm with Daniel the pool is the best feature. I don't like that spiral staircase it's the first thing that's going to go
I love the space it has, however, the bathrooms should be consistent in some way with each other. I don't care for the pool in the house. I like the outside look of this property.
It’s a nice kitchen but personally, I don’t like the range on the counter top or island. That would turn me off. I rather have a separate stand alone range/oven on the opposite side, by the windows.
Changing the ceiling would dramatically lower the value of the home. It’s original, and goes with the mature woods outdoors. Terrible idea to paint it.
@@sleuththewild That’s your opinion how would you know if the white washing is not original it’s too many other things in the house that’s not original.
Hello handsome, young Prince 👋🏾 WOW very nice. I like the covered carport area, tacky storage spaces. Nice old skool entry door 🚪I’m not a fan of walking in and making a decision to go up or down stairs. Short roof in formal living room, I guess if you’re under 5’2 it’s okay 👍🏾 nice though. Love 💕 the wood ceilings. huge balcony/patio area with a kitchen area. Spacious family room off the kitchen. Daniel is ready to move in😂😂👍🏾 I don’t blame him, just let your wife know😂😂y’all moving. Listen to Daniel talk about the Japanese style. More knowledgeable than me😂He’s ready to make the sale 🏡🏊🏾♂💦 That’s a huge, indoor pool and jacuzzi rooms, I don’t like. The sauna is nice, as well as the wine cellar. This house is too expensive for all the needed updates and not one garage🥸
I was expecting the house to cost a little more money. I would by expanded out side cooking o. That beautiful deck. I would throw biggest house warming every seen on that deck
The house needs a younger couple maybe 28ish on up. Im too old for all the maintenance it would require. The price was nice for the house. The young people could invite their friends summer or winter. Build their own ski slopes, i guess
The banisters and newels totally don't fit here. They need a different style. I believe that house is 1970's, not 1950's. So glad they didn't stage this house: they would have done it all wrong. It should be Japandi or some such. The smaller bedrooms feel like they're in a basement. No energy efficiencies... That's a problem. Great price, but the utility systems need a full update, including the hot water heaters, heat pumps, solar, etc. Not current at all.
I'm not a fan of this house. The several different styles of bathrooms weren't an issue, it's the layout. I felt like I was in a maze. It looked like random fireplaces were thrown anywhere.
Wow! Just saw this … I love this house❤ would certainly buy….. it only needs a few upgrades to my taste 😇Please show more like this👍🏽😇
This has to be the coolest house you've done... beautifully done.....❤️
It's rare that I see a house where I'd change nothing. This is one of them.
Visually, it looks like the house connects to the surrounding environment. Wood, stone, marble....beautiful house.
It's giving an Aspen Ski Lodge vibe mixed with a Franklin Lloyd Wright esthetic. It's cool.
That was my first thought, too, regarding a Frank Lloyd Wright style. It's different and pretty in a somewhat rustic way.
Franklin Lloyd Wright vibes for real
Love seeing your son. His enthusiasm and excitement are a breath of fresh air .

One of the nicer homes you've shown. It's great for people that enjoy entertaining.
Perfect blend of vintage charm and modern luxury. Glass-front fridge, indoor pool, and sauna are amazing.
This house really has it going on. Well maintained-a real entertainer's home. It really needs a buyer who knows how to accentuate its beauty with complimentary furniture. Very nice.
On another note, you two are a cute pair. Love to see it.
This home is definitely not cookie cutter! Love these designs and it’s disappointingly missing from today!💕
I love this house. It’s unique. Nice and spacious in the inside and outside.

My favorite house so far!!!!
I like it. It's very Mid-Century. But could be a lot better with a little love.
I love the inside and outside
I like it, I would change a few things but other than that, cool place.
We love ❤❤ Daniel
Very cool house. I would love to live there, but it does need some updating. Maybe $100k would be enough to get it in shape ;)
The Utility bill would be the price of a mortgage by itself for sure. Nice house, little dated
Reston, Va. A very desirable location. It is a rare style for Reston, but, we have lots of houses styled like that in the Pa mountains (Poconos).
@@africandreamsinhaze365 thank you... I found it on Zillow
This is a great time!
Awesome..crib love everything about it ❤😉👏🏾
So many security concerns. Really dark and compartmentalized. At night, it’s just too secluded. Looks like an IBM office from 1980.
The space is Amazing, i would do a upgrade, all the wood has to go. You can do so much with it.
Very unique home.
My least feature is the spiral staircase!
Yeah. I’m not a big fan of spiral staircases, and that one was particularly small and narrow
Didn’t really see bedrooms
I love the space it has, however, the bathrooms should be consistent in some way with each other. I don't care for the pool in the house. I like the outside look of this property.
Nice design, and features, few updates needed.
Love this house.
Just needed more closet space in the primary bedroom. That would be my only complaint.
The bathrooms are not really that bad
It’s a nice kitchen but personally, I don’t like the range on the counter top or island. That would turn me off. I rather have a separate stand alone range/oven on the opposite side, by the windows.
Yes! But I would have some if not all the ceiling whitewashed the price is good and the house looks to be well kept. Would buy.
Changing the ceiling would dramatically lower the value of the home. It’s original, and goes with the mature woods outdoors. Terrible idea to paint it.
@@sleuththewild That’s your opinion how would you know if the white washing is not original it’s too many other things in the house that’s not original.

Very nice, cozy, but for wealthy folks house. Good price, but, of course, I'd attenpt to lower a little.😂

As soon as open the door I knew I would not like this house, I do not like a split level entrance.

The house is definitely unique, design inspired by Japanese architecture? Ceilings are too low; feel claustrophobic. Buyers under 5'8 might like it.
I like the house, but I wouldn't purchase it. I was hoping to see a rambling ranch instead of a 3 level.
It was a rambling 3 level 😂🤣😅
