2001: A Space Odyssey - HAL Edition Introduction

Now it's time to venture into deep space while exploring the lettered edition of '2001: A Space Odyssey'. Its design was inspired by the formidable HAL 9000, mankind's first intelligent creation, who incidentally became the villain of the story and, arguably, its most (in)famous character.
The oversized tray case boasts additional lining with numerous details. It is bound in a luxurious "starry" material which is meant to represent the countless stars in space, as the front of the Discovery One is recreated in finest black goatskin leather, combining the techniques of embossing and foil stamping. Inside the case there is additional lining, recreation of HAL's room, and the art portfolio.
The book is bound in finest black, grained goatskin leather with detail silver foil stamping, as well as HAL's "lens", behind which lies the red holographic foil, which creates an interesting-almost menacing-effect.
The text will be printed letterpress on 100% cotton mould-made Hahnemühle William Turner paper, customised to our specifications, and will also feature six giclée printed illustrations.
