Landing At Adelaide Airport, SA - City Skyline & Adelaide Hills - Fly Me To The Moon & Faithfully

- I took this video last month when I was on board of Qantas flight, flying over Adelaide hills and Adelaide CBD, and landing at Adelaide Airport. I include 2 great songs (my cover version); Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra and Faithfully by Journey.
Adelaide is the driest capital city of the driest state of South Australia. It is indeed a beautiful city with many churches and art festival venues, surrounded by world class wineries of the Barrosa Valley. Clare Valley, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, etc. There are also some decent beaches around the west side of the city such as Glenelg, Henley beach, Maslin beach, and many more.
This city is often known as the biggest country town in Australia, although the locals would not like that calling. The temperature here is very dry and there's hardly any rains. In Summer it can reach over 40 degrees C, and I tell you it can burn your skin, so make sure you always have moisturizer handy when you travel to Adelaide. You won't get thirsty though, because wineries are everywhere. Rumor has it that the locals sometimes have a shower with Pinot Noir and Souvignon Blanc. :-)
If you love golf, Adelaide is NOT the best place for you to visit, so go elsewhere, Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales are the best place to visit for this game. I tried a couple of golf courses here, and let me tell you they actually ain't too bad, but very ordinary, mostly less challenging and I guarantee you could par every hole.
There is a very famous island called Kangaroo island, located just southwestern of Adelaide, there are lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies there as you would expect. Victor Harbour is a nice town too, only take you 2 hours drive down southeast of the city. If you like fishing, go further North to Port Lincoln, Port Augusta, etc. It would be suitable for people with Caravans so that you can stop over at every little towns along the coastline of the peninsula.
All shops close by 6 in Adelaide, because most of the locals prefer staying home and watch TVs. Nightlife is centered around the Casino area. Lots of good restaurants around with cuisines from different part of the world, Thai, Lebanese, Greek, Italian, etc.
British royal family Prince William, Princess Kate Middleton, and Prince George are in Adelaide this week. They arrived at Adelaide airport earlier this week, after visiting Sydney Blue Mountain, then to Uluru (Ayers Rock) near Alice Springs, NT. In Adelaide, the family went to northern Adelaide suburb, Elizabeth - named after Queen Elizabeth.

Love this video! I am a Physical Therapist working with students in a Special Needs school in Michigan, USA, and during this COVID 19 time of school closure, we are using videos for our primary means of instruction. We are creating a series of videos which introduce our students to locations around the world, and we incorporate the PT component by inviting them to move along with us as we explore the locations. I am wondering if we could use footage from your video . I think that showing footage from this video as part of our unit on Australia would be very engaging for our students!

Adelaide has to be one of the best cities in Australia or even the world. From beach to hills only takes 30 minutes. No cities offer such convenience.

Kenneth Ng i am migrating to Adelaide within a year InshALLAH... i wanted to go to Melbourne and tried hard for it but invain... i think its dull as compared to Melbourne but now i am chosen For Adelaide by the Australian immigration government home department. I wish it was Melbourne 😢... how is it as compared to Melbourne?

3:03 I stayed at the Intercontinental hotel(tall building seen beside river to right of two buildings that look like large white tents) Flew my single engine plane from Brisbane to Huntfield .a.small airstrip just south of Adelaide airport. Use to watch airliners landing from my hotel room as seen in reverse role here.

Not the biggest, but quite a large metropolitan area from North to South. Beautiful city nevertheless.

You probably flew right over my house dude, I live in Windsor Gardens right on the main flight path!!! Glad u enjoyed. As for Kate & Wills, They went to one of the crustiest suburbs. Its where they shipped a lot of inbred pps,l when Adelaide was first established. They dint need to come my suburb, as they have mansions named after it ;-) PUN INTENDED, very PUNNY :) Peace outie xo
