      Strange, my Yong Heng only lived for a very short moment. I got to fill 2 bottles with it and then it died. I have a Carette now which is much more robust but also a bit more expensive.

    Nice review as usual. I've actually had this airgun in .45 cal for about 3 years so it's not exactly a new design. I think mine is a prototype though and it has SSE on the sides which stands for Sig Sauer Edition. I'm very happy with my Ibex. I have four airguns at the moment and my Ibex is the most accurate. My other airguns are a Hatsan Torpedo, a Benjamin Bulldog 357 and a Huben K1 .25. Yes, my Ibex is even more accurate than the Huben which is known for its accuracy. I have yet to use good ammo with my Huben though so that also counts. All in all, I really like the Ibex. It's lightweight for its size, very powerful and very robust. It's a very clean and simple design. Single shot without a magazine adds to simplicity and it's sometimes less of a hassle than working with guns that do use a magazine. I use my Ibex the most for that reason :-)

    • @a.p.z.
      @a.p.z. 2 роки тому

      I have the K1 in .25 and shoot Zan's Projectiles .2535 diameter 38 grain hp dish base and now it's truly a 1 moa airgun. Super accurate and the pressure is on me now to make that shot. If it's off it's because I didn't do my part.

    • @KingHaggis
      @KingHaggis 2 роки тому +1

      @@a.p.z. thanks for your reply. I think I'll order the Zan's as well. Last year I ordered 10 tins of .25 JSB Knockouts but I shouldn't have done that. They are way too loose in the magazine and I can't get them to group well. Accuracy is still decent but not nearly as good as it should be with a K1 judging from the videos I've seen.

    • @a.p.z.
      @a.p.z. 2 роки тому +1

      @@KingHaggis exactly right. I tried the Knockouts, they are .250 and my Huben likes .2535 and .2540 diameter slugs. Zans .253 slugs measure .2535
      diameter. You may have to order direct from him because not many people carry that particular ammo. Contact him directly and let him know you are wanting some Huben ammo. .2535 diameter, 38 grain dish base. It's best to buy a few boxes because of shipping prices from Solvania. Shipping is quick. It takes me less than a week to get my order and sometimes as little as 4 days. Good luck!

    Your definitely one of the best out here.
    Unfortunately I have no interest anymore in single shot guns.
    Things have come to far and I got no problem spending decent money on a well made gun, semi auto/fully auto capable airgun.
    Not to say theres not a lot of great single shot guns out there, I'm just not interested in them anymore.

      I agree, the future for airguns is semi/full auto. Though I sometimes do enjoy the simplicity of a single shot airgun. I.e., I don't always feel like fiddling around with magazines on a cold day and use my single shot Ibex and Hatsan for plinking.

    Can these be converted to .257? If this is doing 100+fpe with 55grain .25 slugs then itll be able to get into the power ranges of the 30-357 cal versions since .257 has slugs avaliable in 65-170grains. But the smaller diameter of the slug compared to a .357 would allow it to have double the penetration with thr same weight slug at the same fps as a .357 of the same weight and speed.

      The air cartridge can't blow up. It has only 4500 PSI and it's tesed to 10,000 PSI...also there is a burst disk that blows out first in a harmless area. I have seenit happen. Same # of shots at 50 yards...it's 12-15 shots on target...probably 25 shots if you don't mind a few inches of drop. It should be the same drop each time. So you would know where it will hit.
