  • Here is the 2021 edition of the Saskatchewan Roughrider season highlights. This year I changed it up a bit and included every single scoring play of the season, including rouges, field goals and extra points. During the cancelled 2020 season I re-watched my 2018 and 2019 highlights and felt like I did a disservice by not including field goals or singles so I kept them all in this time around. I also recorded every single game this year so I didn't need to splice in any lower quality versions so that should also be a bit of an improvement.
I thought this season was fun and even though it ended prematurely I'm glad there was a season at all. Hopefully next year we can build on this season and finally make a push all the way.

American here. Saskatchewan is my CFL squad. Def not a diehard since that's reserved for the Titans and Vols, but I look at them as if the Dakota's had a pro team. I've never stepped foot in Regina nor met a Saskatoon, but I bet those are some diehard fans. Likely an overlooked province with its own unique culture. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

As a native Saskatchewanian and a lifelong rider fan, it feels good to see folks from other countries rooting for us. I've lived in Regina my whole life, and honestly it's a tiny city with next to nothing going on - so if you plan on visiting, I'd recommend going to a home game. There you will see why rider fans are considered the most loyal and vocal fan base in the entire league. It's the biggest thing we have going on in the prairies and because of it we live for these games. Being a true rider fan is a huge part of our identity and we are a very proud people because of it. We are just farmers who love anything and everything football, because our province is often overlooked and ignored and the Roughriders are what put our quiet province in the spotlight. Being a Roughrider makes you a huge celebrity in public and people treat players like rockstars. Hell, back in the 90s when we were months away from bankruptcy, us fans never missed a game. We loved our team so much that we hosted a televised charity to help the Roughriders from going bankrupt, and we ended up keeping them afloat long enough until they got a loan from the NFL to bring us back from the brink of death. We are such die hard fans that we are now the wealthiest team in the league with ticket and merchandise sales blowing every other single team out of the water. We make more money than the entire East Coast Division altogether. I hope you can come see a home game with us sometime so you can truly get the full Rider experience.

highlights include: losing to the bombers in the LBC and Banjo Bowl, AND west final for a second year in a row. More blue and gold victory coming soon.
