Tbh they already tackled the hardest yup of adaptation which is live action so there’s no doubt this will be amazing. This is one of the few pieces of media in which the live action holds up well for most fans and it even got new fans into Scott Pilgrim (back when it was released, and even today. Since there are far more ppl who watch movies than those who read comics)
I'm assuming this is going to be a straightforward adaptation of the comics with the presentation style we are essentially familiar with via the movie/game already. I don't see how this could be messed up

It’s so interesting that Scott Pilgrim of all stories has been through essentially all forms of media other than just a normal book. It’s an incredible story, but you’d have thought more would’ve done it. Scott Pilgrim is genuinely a really important piece of media, just for how it’s been culturally important from so many iterations.

The 8-bit intro to the song indeed feel like old... but the pop cute and girly lyrics doesn't blend with the garage rock band that Sex Bob-Omb was in the comics or the movie... I hope they don't change Sex Bob-Omb into a j-pop girl band...
That’s my favorite part too! Such a powerful and perfectly placed deceptive cadence! The song had a nice build up to that point and could have just ended right there, but then they just hit the deceptive cadence and made an even stronger section right afterwards coupled with the reveal of all of the original actors coming back to revise the roles and Scott and Ramona staring into each others eyes as their falling. It’s literally euphoric musically, theatrically, and animation-wise. Honestly one of my favorite intros ever!

Now this is an awesome anime intro song. You can feel the energy and 8-bit synergy of the world of Scott Pilgrim in this. Can’t wait to hear the movie cast again.

Honestly we are converting back to the era when there was not that much difference between animes and western cartoons, and thats a really god thing. Art should not be constrained by arbitrary geopolitical boxes

Each one of these adaptations have basically just fit like a uniquely shaped puzzle piece alongside the comic to make an absolutely gorgeous piece of art, I love how each iteration is different and adds a little bit more story where the last adaptation kinda left off

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off looks very fun and beautiful. The best thing about the show, is that it has the same plot, same cast, same creator and same art style. This is the best intro i ever see since Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Was not expecting a sequel/ what if story where we get to focus more on Ramona and actually resolve the evil exes. It was great. Also Wierd Al voicing old Scott was funny as hell to me. Edit: Yes I know I got the voice actor wrong I don't need more reminders.

The fact that the movie cast is back together along with Edgar Wright playing his part in this, you KNOW this is gonna be good. Singlehandedly the best animated project Netflix has ever cooked up.
I'm as excited for the show as the next person, but stuff like Arcane IS animated, and I don't think even Scott Pilgrim could top that.

@@shawnwebb4278 Objectively Scott Pilgrim is gonna be worse than Arcane, yeah. No other animated show can top Arcane when it comes to pretty much anything right now, critically. But Scott Pilgrim holds subjectively more hype for me than Arcane Season 2, and I think that's pretty cool.

I’ve been so psyched for this since it was announced! The live action movie was great, even if it was done before the comics finished and the cast was absolutely stellar and nailed the characters. I can’t wait to hear them back again.

Was not expecting a sequel/ what if story where we get to focus more on Ramona and actually resolve the evil exes. It was great. Also Wierd Al voicing old Scott was funny as hell to me.
