Well the title didn’t lie. Scott Pilgrim did take off literally.
I first thought it meant for Scott to go all out in a fight. Boy, was I wrong.
i thought it was like. a nice little comment about the show taking off in popularity and the people working on it being really confident about it or something-
hopefuly they’ll make another season so we can see him more

Literally they are so cool and fun
The stylisation feels so fun and perfectly captures the "young love" of two awful people coming together to become better.

Considering how good netflix manages to make the one piece live action adaption, I think this one is gonna be a banger
Tbh they already tackled the hardest yup of adaptation which is live action so there’s no doubt this will be amazing. This is one of the few pieces of media in which the live action holds up well for most fans and it even got new fans into Scott Pilgrim (back when it was released, and even today. Since there are far more ppl who watch movies than those who read comics)

@@_-Dice-_ it does, you also see the complex chapter development, and world building take off to the dumpster since 90% of the characters come off as one dimensional. If you want to flesh out the exes more cool, but do it to the extent the comics did.
I have no idea why, but that shot of Scott and Ramona falling together is really adorable and just makes me happy.

It’s so interesting that Scott Pilgrim of all stories has been through essentially all forms of media other than just a normal book. It’s an incredible story, but you’d have thought more would’ve done it. Scott Pilgrim is genuinely a really important piece of media, just for how it’s been culturally important from so many iterations.
Just got done watching the series yesterday. Love the new scenario. More is on the way for this but while they’re add it. They should do another series where it completely covers the original comic story. I’ll be so hyped for that.

The way the euphoric chorus hits as Scott and Ramona float through space and the acting credits come up. Damn.
That’s my favorite part too! Such a powerful and perfectly placed deceptive cadence! The song had a nice build up to that point and could have just ended right there, but then they just hit the deceptive cadence and made an even stronger section right afterwards coupled with the reveal of all of the original actors coming back to revise the roles and Scott and Ramona staring into each others eyes as their falling. It’s literally euphoric musically, theatrically, and animation-wise. Honestly one of my favorite intros ever!

Like, they had this intro that was totally fine up until that point they credit the producers and artists behind the music and BAM you're hit in the face with the chorus and Hollywood superstar after Hollywood superstar. Especially for Scott Pilgrim fans, I knew everyone was reprising their roles beforehand but to see it written out like that was just so perfect and as you both said, euphoric.
1:08 best part of the intro, truly sells that they are both questing for eachother and its not just scott fighting for ramona.
Now this is an awesome anime intro song. You can feel the energy and 8-bit synergy of the world of Scott Pilgrim in this. Can’t wait to hear the movie cast again.

This show is literally like a combination of the game, the movie and the cómics, all in a blender for the fans and at the same time a kind of "what if" its Just so perfect how they did this,literally Just well made scott pilgrim content for the fans but with a little triste but super enjoyable to watch,
Honestly, the song doesn't fill me with overwhelming hype or anything, just feels really chill. Fills me with joy. Nothing else. Not even massively overwhelming joy. Just joy. Calm, laid back, joy.

The fact that the movie cast is back together along with Edgar Wright playing his part in this, you KNOW this is gonna be good. Singlehandedly the best animated project Netflix has ever cooked up.
I'm as excited for the show as the next person, but stuff like Arcane IS animated, and I don't think even Scott Pilgrim could top that.

The dedication and passion they are putting into this anime is very noticeable, the song is very beautiful and combines very well with the animation of the Opening.
it's not anime it's American (Canadian actually) cartoon with a Japanese lyrical intro.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off looks very fun and beautiful. The best thing about the show, is that it has the same plot, same cast, same creator and same art style. This is the best intro i ever see since Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Each one of these adaptations have basically just fit like a uniquely shaped puzzle piece alongside the comic to make an absolutely gorgeous piece of art, I love how each iteration is different and adds a little bit more story where the last adaptation kinda left off

Was not expecting a sequel/ what if story where we get to focus more on Ramona and actually resolve the evil exes. It was great. Also Wierd Al voicing old Scott was funny as hell to me.

I’ve been so psyched for this since it was announced! The live action movie was great, even if it was done before the comics finished and the cast was absolutely stellar and nailed the characters. I can’t wait to hear them back again.

I’m not someone who ever read the books, or watched the film, or played the game. But christ alive did I love the art style, animation, and music throughout this series. This theme in particular gives me chills I haven’t felt from an anime in nearly 15 years. And I think the fact that I missed out on all the source material really helped me avoid a lot of the frustrations that most other viewers experienced with this particular take on the story. That said, I can fully understand why actual fans of the franchise would be so conflicted/disappointed with this run; I’ve had more than my fair share of franchises I once loved go in a direction that I *really* didn’t want them to
I realized that this wasn't an adaptation only on last episodes. After I watched series I enjoyed them so much so I watched the movie and now I'm reading comics. Also bought the game on steam sales
