I can testify that this Holy Laughter is the real deal. It’s only happened to me once in my 57 years, and it happened in the most unlikely place. I was in jail in my early twenties and I was placed in a jail cell with a young man from Oklahoma and we got to talking about each other’s belief in Jesus. We both confessed Jesus and we literally laughed all night until the doors opened for breakfast and the other inmates thought we did some type drug. All I can say it was the best feeling in the whole World .. I think we’re gonna have that same feeling in the 3rd Heaven.
Once I had my first surgery in a city far away from family which was scary. The following Sunday I was in church and healing quickly from the surgery. I felt such a sense of relief and joy that this uncontrollable laughter came over me. I was overjoyed at God's loving care for me. Many people have this experience because of the situations they have been going through, and they have a release of joy. Of course there are counterfeits of every spiritual experience. Don't discount the real experiences because of fake ones you have seen.
This is real! For the people saying it’s not! It happened to me one night I was praying heavy in the Spirit while driving and the Holy Spirit took over me so overwhelmingly that I had to pull over that I couldn’t hardly even drive anymore. I couldn’t stop giggling! My body was so weak. I knew the Lord caused this to happen to me because it never happened before! I could not control it! My body was sooo weak lol! It’s real! This happened to me on the next day after I first began to speak in tongues! 🙏🏽✨
This is an area I am still not comfortable with tbh. It’s one thing to laugh joyfully, but many times I’ve witnessed laughter turning into cackling and other strange unnatural sounds coming out of a particular person. Then pair that with gyrations/spasms/convulsions. I don’t know, I’ve always been taught that the Holy Spirit is a gentleman. Yet, these manifestations always seem to disrupt people’s spirits.
I know exactly what you mean. I have been drunk in the Spirit one time in about 36 yrs. I was home by myself. Just enjoying The Lord and I was literally laughing some and I remember I felt like I was kind of staggering around but it was wonderful. Never happened before or since that. I have shook some and trembled at times under the presence of the Holy Spirit I guess in me. I dont know but I think sometimes our bodies have trouble containing the power or anointing or the Holy Spirit manifesting and this maybe what leads to some weird looking stuff going on. I dont know. I do know satan has counterfeits for everything that is really The Holy Spirit. So some things we witness may or may not be The Holy Spirt. My spirit usually somehow let's me know, that's not real. That's God. That's demonic etc. When in doubt I would say leave go home and pray about it. The Holy Spirit is not the author of confusion but that really depends on what He considers to be confusion. Is 120 people praying outloud at one time confusion or is it praying in one accord? Pray for discernment.
One of the fruits of the Spirit is joy! I will say, there is scientific evidence that laughter & joy can heal the body. & we all know it’s good for the soul and spirit. Sometimes Holy Spirit is so flooding us our earthy bodies just can’t keep up
Hey Jes, your discomfort is on point. It could be the Spirit of God prompting you that this is not of God. One of the fruits of the Spirit is self control. This kind of behavior is demonic. Mark and avoid.
@@annanicolelew Christ-centered, Spirit-filled joy will never be at the expense of self-control. We are to test the spirits to determine if they are of God. While these manifestations may very well be of a spirit, it is not from the Spirit of the living God, but a different spirit.
It is amazing how traditional churches while attacking holy drunkenness in the same time they prove that apostles were drunk in the Spirit on the Pentecost! They say glossolalia is not about looking drunk but the problem is people saw them acting like drunk! I never heard of in our time when someone accused speaking in tongues people looking drunk! It means apostles did look like drunk that is why they were mocked for drunkenness!

Thank you so much for these talks you’re posting. It’s really letting everyone see how little you guys know about the Bible and how much of a danger Bethel is.
In the early ‘90s during the Toronto blessing someone who was there visited our Vineyard church and that blessing fell on our church including myself. The manifestations that were given to me was laughter and shaking and crunching and being drunk….oh so drunk. So, here we are, thirty years later and it is still entirely normal for me to experience all of these manifestations on a regular basis. I can be at home or amongst believers. It has given me the opportunity to teach others what is going on and it is usually embraced and desired. When I shake I let people know that in genesis one when Holy Spirit hovered above the waters that word hovered in the Hebrew means to shake. When he comes over me I shake with his power. He is filling me up. His ways are not our ways. In the old testament it says that God laughs at his enemies. This laughter that is so pure is also intercession. I am very grateful for it. I do know when to remove myself from a situation so as not to be disruptive.

The meaning of certain Hebrew words changes based on context, the context in Genesis is way different than in Jeremiah. In Genesis it is not saying Gods Spirit shook, but that it was *resting* or *hovering* do not be deceived, there's no mention of the Holy Spirit causing intoxication. But rather the opposite- it causes self control.
I have experience the Holy laughter and it's been wonderful and have been drunk in the spirit where I had not been able to get up from the floor. I never went after this manifestations it just happened in some services. The most important thing I learnt that all manifestations don't make you who you are, christ does.

These men are absolutely adding information (they are making things up) that aren’t in Acts chapter 2. Acts chapter 2 verses 4, 5, 6, and 7, says that they are speaking in other tongues. Verse 11 goes on to say that they are speaking about the wonderful works of God. Verse 13 states, “Others mocked saying they are full of new wine.” No where does it say that they were stumbling around or laughing uncontrollably. The fruit of the spirit is love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self control.
So I have this happen all the time. Please stop putting God in your box. It’s joy that I can’t describe. I pray you have God touch your heart, especially since there’s a lot of believers watching UA-cam, only to Criticize other believers.
Does god full you with joy? Is the joy of the lord our strength? What do you do when you are joyful? Sit around and mope lifeless ? Let your flesh die already. Co crucify yourself daily and maybe you will find joy and laughter. David danced naked around the ark of the covenant because of his jubilee.
@@jimmyray5524 so who do you listen to that has a big following if I may ask? Twisting scriptures? Preachers since the apostles all give their interpretation of scripture, so what the heck are you talking about. Especially Baptist preachers.
I think they are inferring from the scripture that the fact people considered them to be drunk - speaks to the way they were behaving. If people were simply praising God in an orderly and respectful manner no one would have looked at them sidewise. Instead a huge crowd gathered around them saying they were full of wine. The text infers the way they were behaving drew a lot of attention and made people think they were drunk. This isn't "adding to scripture". Its called "exegesis" which is critical analysis and interpretation of the text to understand the full meaning. Every person who reads scripture should be doing this. Ask yourself the question - why would the surrounding people think they were drunk ? We can infer from what the text says that the discilples were were likely shouting very loud and acting in ways which drew a lot of attention similar to a person who has had a lot to drink - otherwise no one would have paid attention. They are basically saying when the spirit comes and touches someone powerfully - it has a powerful effect. People can't hold in their joy. They dance, the shout praise, the cry tears of joy and ectasy. Its a very full on thing that is confronting for people who aren't experiencing it
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 5:17-20 NKJV For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free-and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. I Corinthians 12:13 NKJV Scripture likens drinking with being filled with the Holy Spirit. This means that we are to be so overcome with he Holy Spirit that it's not normal and people think we are drunk. Remember when the apostles were preaching at 9 in the morning and the crowd thought they were drunk. I'm sure they had to be acting crazy for others to think like that.
If anyone reads this section of scripture in Acts, the tongues were NOT babbling. They were actual languages that were understood by "devout men out of every nation under heaven" who were dwelling at Jerusalem and these people were "confounded, because every man heard them speak in his own language...the wonderful works of God." There is no verse saying they came stumbling out of the building like they were drunk. This speaking in other languages is what was being mocked by people saying, "these men are full of new wine." If you go on and read you will see nothing mentioned of people acting drunk, stumbling, babbling, crying, laughing uncontrollably. I hope people who watch this video will read the actual scripture and realize that Bill Johnson and Dann Farrelly are either deceived or trying to deceive Bethel members. The holy spirit always works in wisdom, truth, and with a meaningful purpose. It does not show off what it can do or take control over someone's body to the point of the individual being out of control. This is not the spirit of God, but the kind you will see taking over people in Hindu or Buddhism or Voodoo and such religions. Go look at what these false religions have as spiritual manifestations, and you will see a match for the manifestations you are seeing in the Bethel congregations. Christians need to wake up to see that spirit of Satan is trying to take over the church with New Age and Pagan beliefs and manifestations.
“Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 14:1-2 ESV
@@Vita1ized 1 Corinthians 14:3-33 (KJV) "But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me. Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified. I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints."
Hi Cyndi! I think your concern is very interesting. I’ve personally seen people who didn’t even know the Lord become completely overwhelmed in His presence, and have to be carried out after the service. I’ve seen this happen to people who were clearly embarrassed that this was happening to them, so I know it was not attention-seeking. And these people were experiencing intense joy and peace, which are not products of Satan’s work. I certainly agree that the presence of God can cause demons to manifest themselves, and result in the physical debilitation of a person, but this is not accompanied by joy and peace, and certainly not with that person glorifying God, as 1 Corinthians 12:3 says, no one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. While I think it’s important to seek scripture and determine for yourself whether or not being “drunk in the spirit” is a good/Biblical thing, I think it’s somewhat strange to suggest that Bethel is allowing or encouraging demonic manifestation in their services. Whether you think they’re right or wrong about this topic, they’re clearly seeking Jesus and looking to serve Him as best they can.
@@benjaminklinge6713 Hi Benjamin, I understand what you are saying about feeling his presence. I have felt it before, but not intensely to collapsing, but I have felt it and have seen some people brought to tears (not wailing or out of control, but touched by love and gratitude), so I do believe in this kind of manifestation. But my concern is with when a person feels out of control like something is being done to them that makes them uncomfortable or uncertain. The holy spirit comes from within, not from without, and it doesn't seek possession. Love doesn't possess, it gives strength and comfort, real peace and joy. My next concern is that I know that Satan can give copycat experiences. I had a dream once where I was in a circle prayer with family and Jesus came to join the circle. Sounds like a beautiful spiritual dream....at first. I felt this love feeling coming, but then noticed it was almost sickeningly sweet, something was a little off, but very subtle. My discernment was telling me that something was off in this dream. I recognized it was fake and said to "Jesus", you are NOT Jesus and I think I rebuked him. This smiling, joyful Jesus suddenly looked at me directly and smirked, no love in the eyes. This was a satanic dream. I also no others who have felt a "love" but it wasn't real. That's why we need to pray for this discernment because the scriptures say Satan can appear as an angel of light. I have been studying eastern religions and new age and have seen physical spiritual manifestations that look identical with babbling, uncontrolled body movements (where the person feels like something outside has taken over their body and they feel a power or a "good" feeling from it), wailing, shouting, collapsing, etc. But if these unbelievers who are worshiping false gods felt good from these same type experiences, would us Christians believe it was from the holy spirit? No, we wouldn't. So I know Satan can make people feel good, too. Not something I fully understand yet. But I do believe many Christians experiencing these things are sincere. I just am concerned with what I have seen. There are some that are so focused on feelings and seeking signs from God that they may be leaving themselves open to deception. I know people who've had visions that looked so loving and joyful and when the events in the visions were believed, it ended up taking them down very painful roads because they proved to be a lie from Satan. It's really sad and makes me very cautious and want to pray that those who want the truth will be protected and discerning.
The Lord gives me a choice He never forceful I can choose to allow Him to make me laugh or this drunk or don’t. I have experience this and it the best feeling ever.
It never says the disciples were behaving like they were drunk. The people accused them of being drunk because they were mocking them, plus in the prophecy being fulfilled from Joel, God says He would fill us with "new wine"..but in no way does that imply drunkeness. The Bible says we should behave soberly and with self control(which is a fruit of the Spirit btw) where is "acting drunk" in the list of gifts of the Spirit? Cant make an entire doctrine out of one event in Acts.
I've had it once; just a little. Was amazing. There wasn't a loss of self control as much as a just a letting go. Also like Dan said could snap out of it if needed.
Just curious...are you a Christian with Pentecostal beliefs because it seems I have seen your comments basically arguing against whatever is being discussed. I have never know any Pentecostal church to have a doctrine about being " drunk in the spirit". No it is not one of the 9 gifts nor one of the 9 fruit of The Spirit it is just an experience we realize the Holy Spirit chooses to bless us with sometimes just like He chooses to bless us with His presence at times in a over whelming way but we dont make a doctrine out of it. We just enjoy Him as He blesses us. In my 36 yrs as an adult christian I have only had the experience of being " drunk in the Spirit" one time but I can tell you it is completely real I was at home alone just enjoying praying and spending time with Jesus and afterward when to cook supper and I caught myself giggling turning to outright laughter and I noticed I was actually staggering a little bit when I walked. I had no idea what was going on and I had to wait till I went back to church and was mentioning the experience and someone told me that is what it was. I have witnessed it by others many times since then but has never happened to me again but I know the experience is very real.
2 Corinthians 5:12-17 The revelation of Christ's promise fulfilled overwhelmed them in a way that looked foolish. As an OT example, David had an experience that made him act completely undignified in the eyes of men, but it was honorable to God. Being overwhelmed by Christ's love emotionally may not seem fit to be a doctrine (Bill even said he wasn't going to "teach it as a point of theology"), but as long as the source of the experience is Christ, it is a holy moment. Blessings.
It happened to me and I had always thought it was fake but that the person would be held accountable by God for faking laughter. Then came a time I was in the hospital with severe Ulcerative Colitis, so severe it hurt to talk. My priest and church leaders came to pray for me when they were finished the priest's wife said to me "Robert you look drunk" at that moment I began laughing uncontrollably for at least 15 minutes without any pain. Yes there is self-control but when the Holy Spirit falls on you why would you want to control it or look dignified? NO, You let the Holy Spirit move however He wants.
2nd Chroncles, chronics that so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God . I often wonder why the glory is weighty and why it retards movement and speech, but it does...
It happened to me in 2008. I was all alone in my mansion. I ended up homeless in the ghetto. I’ve been street preaching for 13 years. I was laughing off and on for 3 days and nights. I knew for sure we were in the last days.

Yes , when you see some of these ultra Charismatic churches , the people just look so shallow and stupid that the whole scene in fact witnesses against the Gospel and not for it. This does incredible damge to the Gospel , and is frankly an embarasssement to many Christians . We don't behave in this way in everyday life , so why be like this in front of the Lord ?
Yes true - but at the same time when the disciples first received the holy spirit they did actually react like this. Thats why all the people around them thought they were drunk. So I think like the guys in this video say - when a person first has a powerful experience of the Holy Spirit - we have to understand it may take them some time to process it and learn how to channel it correctly. So the first experiences can look very weird. People crying. People yelling out or shouting praise. People speaking in tongues. But the idea would be this shouldn't be something that the individual continues to do - but the pastors help them channel it into more orderly and considerate worship and praise as they go forward. EG: The gift of tongues was given to the first disciples so they could preach to other foreign people in their native language. But when people first got it in the OT - like any human they thought it was amazing and wanted to show it off to other people that they could now speak a new language. Paul was saying - its great you got this gift - but now you have it don't use it to show off. Learn to channel it correctly - use it when its beneficial - thats why god gave it to you - when others around you can understand what you are saying. The guys in this video are saying exactly the same thing. Give grace to the person when they first have this overwhelming experience because they are going to act weirdly - but then try to lead them into more ordered and appropriate channeling of the spirit as they go forward. Makes sense to me.
In response, in Acts 2:15, when Peter denied themselves being drunk (in response to others mocking them, saying that they were full of wine), he referred to drunkenness in general. He didn't even single out wine. By not singling out wine specifically but mentioning drunkenness in general, that eliminates any possibility of them being drunk in the Spirit. Furthermore, the message that Peter gave the people in Acts 2:22-40 right afterward is not the message of a drunk person (including a person drunk in the Spirit). Rather, that is a message from a very sober-minded person. This was no different in Acts 4:8-12 when Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, spoke some very strong words to the Jewish religious leaders on another occasion.
It is best to just move on then, no need to keep commenting on these videos if you can't see what the Lord is doing. Bill's character speaks for itself and God defends His own.
@@Jaymus71490 it’s not a fruit, it’s a response to the intent feeling of Gods presence. It doesn’t happen everyday and everywhere like a routine. Maybe for some, I don’t know. When it happened to me it was a strong sense of how God is good to me, I was worshiping him and praising him. A lot of people think we just laugh empty,no it’s a response to the Goodness of God, and you just deeply admire him and get filled with Joy, for some it’s like a chuckle, others giggle, it’s like different responses to a joke😅 and this doesn’t happen only in big meetings, even personal time, cause God is Gracious and Good. If you haven’t experienced it, it’s completely okay. But don’t go discrediting and calling it demons. Do you really think demons want you be happy and praise God?? We misunderstand even the very nature of demons and false spirits, they cannot bring the slightest amount of joy. Please understand it’s a response just like the way the Bible would say “shouts of praise” those are actually shouts of praise because there’s times you just become strongly aware of God and he is worthy of every reaction, shout, scream, he is worthy. But we don’t look at the Holy laughter as a sign that God is here or this is when he is near. He always is.
You wont lack control of your sober mind..you will be incontrol of your thoughts and body. The holy spirit can cause you to lose all control and express that joy of God by crying out with everything thats in you!!
Ps scripture does not say they stumbled out into the street - and those who were accusing them of being drunk were mockers - others were amazed - not all supposed they had drunk new wine - I have seen a lot of people ‘being drunk in the spirit’ in the past and never once have I heard them declaring the praises of God in a language that other people of other nationalities could understand - not even in English were they preaching the gospel - so maybe what’s going on now is not the same as what was happening in Acts? Just saying
Its NOT from God. Its a false spirit that demonic. Its called Khundalini. This is THE deception of the last days. Its a physical/sensual experience designed to draw a person to their own body and mind. "Men will become lovers of themselves..."
@@mariabean1786 its so so sad that many people are being drawn away from true biblical principles for sensual experiences that neither edify nor enlighten the Body of Christ. The emphasis on signs and wonders has become an idol to a great number of people and i personally believe that this is one of the signs of the end times apostasy that will happen right before the Lord returns. I hope people would repent and pray to God for wisdom and discernment so they are not swept away by their own desire to create an experience of God that doesnt actually exsist.
I once heard a woman break out in this so called holy laughter while the Word of God was being preached. It was very ominous. Why would the Holy Spirit laugh while the Word was going forth?
In 1 Corinthians Paul teaches to be orderly with spiritual things. His examples were prophecy and interpretation of tongues that weren’t orderly but that doesn’t make it false or demonic.
This is what happens when people prefer to have their ears tickled by the earthly things that please them. The Bible is clear, *"Therefore if the whole church gathers together and all the people speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are insane?"* 1 Corinthians 14:23 That was a rebuke, btw. Because Pauls letter to the corinthians would be a good example to show legitimate experiences of the holy spirit - can create quite chaotic worship experiences because people are so overwhelmed by the experience. @@kearl3490 Yes very true it was a rebuke ..... but it was to a Church who had powerfully received the holy spirit. Basically they were so overcome with the experience of the holy spirit they were worshipping and praising in a disorderly manner. Paul then tries to forcefully return them to more orderly worship. Pulling them back into line. The spirit they received was - the holy spirit though. It wasn't demonic. They had real holy spirit but the followers were basically "overwhelmed" by the experience. And thats what the guys in the video are saying - that people react to the receiving the spirit quite "weirdly" - then they are pastors try to gently guide people who had powerful spiritual experiences into more orderly conduct. So they are basically agreeing with what Paul here says ..... but at the same time they are saying when God comes powerfully and you are in the middle of it - people do tend to act weirdly because of how powerful the experience is. And if you video this it can look weird to the outtsiders who aren't experiencing .... they think the people are insane just like Paul said or the crowd around the disciples thought. This scripture really supports what these 2 are saying about how the people first initially react.
I got holy laugher :drunk in the spirit when I was 14 or 15 at the church. Now I never saw or heard of holy laugher and not even at the church I went to at the time . So i was at a conference and we were worshiping , praising God and I remember just getting this feeling of laughing. I just start laughing , I will never forget it. My mind couldn’t understand what was going on but Holy Spirit told me it’s okay . Just let God move though you. I remember looking at my sister and she was looking at me like ,I was crazy lol. I remember I couldn’t talk and I just put my hands up, still laughing, trying to say I don’t know but couldn’t. I had to set down for a minute and finally it was over. Now it happen every time … when I’m listening to worship music, when I’m praying , when in church , I could be walking thinking about God , than start laughing, thankfully I am able to control it , where people don’t think I’m crazy lol but it happens a lot to me. At first I didn’t understand and was confused. I ask my sister cause she knew about this stuff and look it up to . I am still trying to understand it .
Blessings to you. Make a joyful noise even in the form of laughter in the Spirit. So many of our brothers and sisters just want to be stuffy! Nope, enjoy Him for He enjoys us!!
@@cyndih4720 it’s hard to explain but I know the Holy Spirit doesn’t give confusion. When it first happens, my worldly body doesn’t understand what is happening, I had to just let the Holy Spirit move. Now I am understanding of it.
Psalm 126:1-2 King James Version 126 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. 2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
You are misinterpreting a passage of scripture. Man/unbelievers accused the disciples of being drunk in an effort to dismiss what the Lord was doing.... similar to the blaspheme of the holy spirit....when Jesus was accused of casting out Satan by being Satan. The disciples were filled with the holy spirit and given the gift of tongues to evangelise. So, using that scripture for holy drunkenness is not really interpreting things correctly.
@@robertmorris5168 I am not gonna say that what you experienced was or was not the Lord. I do not have clear discernment on that. All I am saying is the verse that they are using to support it is used out of context. Like when it says be filled with the spirit not drunk with wine, it's not saying to be spiritually drunk because God is a God of self control and also joy. The point that is trying to be made is to have Christ in control of you not alcohol or the flesh. Whether "holy laughter" is of the Lord or not, I really have no idea. Sometimes I get clear discernment on an issue, and I don't on this one in either direction. I am not discounting your experience, all I was pointing out was their interpretation and application of scripture. The same way someone will say that someone might have a spirit of Leviathan and the only reference to that is Job and the context in that was not a spirit but basically trying to explain God's power in a number of illustrations of creation. Basically, did you make or can you control or tame this magnificent beast?? That's was the point of that scripture. So, I don't know about your experience, I am just correcting their application of scripture, that's all.
I keep seeing people say “God is a God of this or that, not a God of the other.” Every time I see this, it seems like finite people are trying to define God. Reading the Bible shows that you cannot fit God into any box, no matter how good it seems. Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and SELF CONTROL. Against such things there is no law." (Emphasis my own). I appreciate that they don't skip over the self control portion of Scripture and explain that the "spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet," going a step yet further to encourage Bethel students to utilize said self control if entering into another House of the Lord where such expressions may not be well received and/or understood. Having attended Bethel and personally experienced what seemed/sounded like uncontrolled laughter...I can personally say it caught me off guard and seemed very strange. The outpouring of the Holy Ghost in the upper room on Mount Zion on the day of Pentecost was a one-off event, in the same way that the giving of the Commandment was on Mount Sinai on the day of Pentecost many years before. In your attempt to replicate what cannot be replicated you create a counterfeit, full of lies and confusion. The people thought that the 120 were full of new wine because there was a babble of languages, and not because they were slamming their bodies in the ground, or laughing hysterically or writhing and hissing like snakes! In 1 Samuel 1 Eli saw Hannah lips moving but no voice was heard and thought she was drunk with new wine. Your spiritual equivalent is King Saul who was possessed by an evil spirit from God, and when he stretched his hand to harm David who was with Samuel the prophet of God, the spirit of God came upon him and he prophesied and stripped off his clothes and lay all night on the floor naked (1 Samuel 19) Can you imagine if your friend whom you’ve known to only speak English one morning suddenly started to speak Vietnamese to you, a language which you do not understand? Now imagine if 100 folks from Galilee were ecstatically speaking 100 different languages on the streets of Jerusalem 2000 years ago? Does that seem to be normal behavior? Some of the persons who understood any of the languages being spoken heard them declare the wonderful works of God in their respective languages (Acts 2:11). But for most of the men of Judea who would have understood no word being spoken by these strange lot from the upper room, they appeared to be a drunk rabble (Acts 2:13). If you are satisfied with the counterfeit by all means carry on, but if you desire and seek the true experience, then seek Him with sincerity and in truth, not according to your lying imagination, else He will answer you according to the multitude of your idols (Ezekiel 14:4) He will deceive you (Ezekiel 14:9) because you have loved idols and lies.

Finite minds attempting to "know," "understand," and become in any conceivable sense a(ny) accurate representation and/or sufficient expression of His beingness seems to be an actual impossibility. Christ could because He was fully God AND fully Man simultaneously - we are not.
Did you really just define the due judgement of those nations as "wickedness"??? God CANNOT do wickedness, it is literally impossible. The confines for what God is like are from Scripture, which was written by the Holy Spirit. The Bible literally says that God is not a God of confusion.

@@kearl3490 The presence of God is why I became a Christian. I saw the ministry students at Bethels school were passionate for God and worshipped him accordingly. I hungered for encounters and spritual experiences. The presence of God was so thick there I just had to come back and learn more. I think sometimes when God moves like this it might actually attract non believers because they might have the same hunger to know him and expierence these supernatural encounters/delights that I did. I tend to think most people are turned away from Christianity because we don't know how to love one another and not because they saw someone speak in tongues. Are you against speaking in tongues in general? How about expierencing the Holy Spirit's glory to the point you're overwhelmed with it and can't stand up anymore? I really want that but have never had it happen. Would you want that?
@@turboleggy Now that's very dangerous thinking. To say you want the presence of the Holy Spirit so much that you want to just fall over? That's implying that if you don't fall over you don't have enough faith. In regards to thinking that since holy laughter will attract non-believers, I have this passage from Paul. Romans 3:5-8 (ESV): But if our unrighteousness serves to show the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unrighteous to inflict wrath on us? (I speak in a human way.) 6 By no means! For then how could God judge the world? 7 But if through my lie God’s truth abounds to his glory, why am I still being condemned as a sinner? 8 And why not do evil that good may come?-as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just. Just because God may use it doesn't mean it's good. God uses all things. Being drunk in the Spirit is the fruit of the Spirit, Paul's statement is just a clever idiomatic phrase encouraging people to pursue the Spirit, which by the way, is not maniacle laughter, but instead love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self controll (Gal 5:22).
@@CGGeary So you don't want an overwhelming encounter with the Holy Spirit? I don't know why I haven't had one but I don't think it means I have less faith. I think I may just not be ready for it. Kids want sports cars but aren't ready for it. I think it means God's working in my life through another way and I'm super thankful for that. The presence of God is attractive and breaks through many mental barriers. That is what I mean it can attract believers and then they can't deny it and are more willing to listen. The number one reason people don't believe in Jesus imo is because we don't love each other like Jesus did. He can move as holy laughter sometimes. I don't think anyone is arguing its a fruit of the spirit. It's just something that happens and is a fun and healing gift from God. The Bible is all God but not all of God is in the Bible. God things happen and you may not be able to find scripture for it.

When Jesus baptizes anyone with The Holy Spirit The Spirit prays through you at that time in a language unknown to you. The word language can be interchanged with the word " tongue. It would still mean the same thing. This is a prayer language or tongue uttered from your spirit as enabled to by The Holy Spirit. Paul tells us 1 Corn. 14:15 pray with the spirit ( tongues) and pray with your understanding also. ( in english). Sing with the spirit( singing in tongues) and sing with your understanding also. ( in english). This is for every believer. Then there is one of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit that is The Gift of Tongues where the Holy Spirit chooses to use a believer to give a message to the Body of Christ through that person and he speaks it outloud in a gathering in a tongue or language which ever you want to call it unknown to that person and after speaking it out either that person or someone in the gathering should interpret the message in english so that everyone may be deified by it. So your prayer/ singing tongue or language is yours personally. But when The Holy Spirit uses you for the body it is the gift of tongues and also maybe the gift of interpretation too if you interpret what you just spoke in another tongue or language in church. Hope this helps you
You’re eisegetically associating “tongue” with “The Spirit”.. unless you have folks in your congregation from all over the world with different native tongues, there is no need for miraculous intercession through speaking in tongues.
There is no proof about speaking in an unknown tongue when "praying on the Spirit." Charismatics distort this into believing there is a heavenly language we must use to show this manifestation. Even Paul called this the least of all gifts and yet, these people seek the least and not the best gift for you. You have the fruits of the Holy Spirit? You living a holy life? Proof you have the Holy Spirit. You glorify Christ. No tongues necessary.
The fulness of the Spirit seen in Stephen in the book of Acts was wisdom and powerful signs...so we need to check people like him to see examples. There are plenty throughout the NT - John in Revelation, James in talking about wisdom, Peter in talking about an entrance into God's Kingdom (2 Peter 1), Paul as he described our relationship in the Heavenly places in Jesus Christ....don't be fooled by shiny bumpers. :)
@@n9wff I think the whole issue of tongues could be resolved almost instantly if they just used a more modern translation - foreign languages. Tongues is an older word which people have added "mystical" interpretation to like its a magical language. In my own case - Ich spreche deutsche - and I also speak english. So I can speak in 2 tongues. English and German. If I wish to speak about God to a german person - I can use my german tongue to do this. If I speak to someone who speaks English - I use the english tongue. Thats how paul instructed them as far as I read it. Use each tongue\language in the settting where it is appropriate.
What appalling eisegesis! In order for Acts 2 to be a tenable precedent for being 'drunk in the Spirit', there would have to be contextual congruence between the two events. In Jerusalem, there was fire which separated and alighted on the heads of the disciples: there was the sound of a mighty rushing wind, and there was empowerment to speak in unlearned languages for the benefit of the crowd....some of whom - apparently groping for an explanation for that strange event - suggested they might be drunk. That's the context at Jerusalem. The context at Bethel is people who cannot tell the difference between spirituality and self-indulgence acting like they are drunk - and claiming that their antics are somehow something to do with God. I don't think we need to 'Rediscover Bethel'. I think they need to rediscover the bible.
We had this happen two or three times: a Bethel student group came to Croatia, led some services and ended up piled up on the floor laughing. I personally understand that but it was offensive to the Croatians.
It is not the Holy Spirit! This is bad fruit.......please don't allow them to come back or lay hands on anyone. And avail yourself and others at your church of solid truth. I know, I was deceived by this movement for about 7 yrs....I was always chasing the feelings of euphoria and never maturing in Christ. I have an lasting peace that is solid and have not been depressed like I was then....it was quite crippling then. I had to repent and avail myself of good solid bible teaching......the basics. There are moments in the Bible where the Presence of Jesus FLOORED people, before & after the Cross. No, It says: 'FILLED with the spirit...' Ephesians 5:18. No scripture says 'be drunk in the spirit', you will not find a verse that admonishes you to do this!
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 1 Timothy 4:1 READ YOUR BIBLE DON'T GET DECEIVED!

That verse in Acts just meant that people couldn't understand what they were saying, and seeing that they were Judeans, thought they must be so drunk they are not speaking clearly when they were actually speaking in other languages to spread God's word on Pentecost, the same day God spoke from mount Sinai to Israel a long time before....
Actually, all I heard him talk about was bull's and their messes, which seems extremely appropriate when describing the insanity of being, 'drunk in the Spirit', second only to being, 'slayed in the Spirit.' 🙄
In light of all the negative publicity that is floating around the internet concerning Bethel, these one on one talks with Pastor Bill have been so informative. My heart breaks for the body of Christ. We are to be the light in a dark world, but we are too busy fighting among ourselves, that the world looks at us with disdain. It’s about time that we accept each other’s differences, love each other and love the world as our Lord commands us to do. Many blessings to all of you at Bethel and may the Lord continue to use your ministry to bring many into the kingdom of God.
The bible doesn’t say they stumbled out into the streets. It also says some made fun of them saying they’ve had too much wine they didn’t actually think they were drunk they were making fun. The Spirit of God doesn’t mimic the effects of alcohol. Read the text guys
Some declared they were drunk, others marveled at the fact they were speaking clearly in their language, a drunk wouldn't speak clearly in his native language let alone a foriegn language they didn't know. When you are slain in the spirit is there a mighty wind? Do you speak in foreign languages you don't know are there people there that marvel that you are praising God and speaking wonders in his name in their language that is foreign to you? If Looking drunk is the only connection you have to the day of pentecost is it really the holy ghost moving in you?
If it's the Spirit of Christ that dwells within us, how come we never see in any of the four Gospels documentation any form of drunken laughter coming from Jesus? This is manipulating Scripture to say something it doesn't say. Non-Bethel people are always accused of "putting God into a box", when they are in fact putting Scripture into a box that doesn't align with God was speaking through the apostles.
@@nildameers3772 Yes we do, and amen for that. I'm just making a point that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ, so therefore we ought have seen an account of that in the Gospel narratives. Since we don't, we can't expect "drunken laughter" from the Holy Spirit.

@@CGGeary I think Jesus was kind of special no ? He was literally born of the holy spirit. Conceived by it - it was with him in his womb. He grew up surrounded and enveloped by it. For him the holy spirit was "normal" - he literally was the spirit - and also he is the son of God perfect in every way. Us other humans on the other hand - we aren't perfect humans or disciples and usually we have had very limited experiences of the holy spirit. (I feel like I'm doing a reverse of the Bane quote from The Dark Night rises - "we merely adopted the light") So when we go from our normal mundane human reality - and get touched and enveloped by the holy spirit - its a HUGE and sudden change. People who experience this for the first time (even subsquent times) - its very very overwhelming. I would say imagine how you acted when you as a baby were born ? Was it neat and tidy ? Was it orderly and respectful ? Or were there screams and laughs and tears when it happened ? Ok now imagine being born again ;) Genuinely its a bit like that. The most profoundly life altering thing you can experience - people can and do act strange when in the middle of that process - it can be messy like a childs birth. But then after once the person has adjusted it begins to manifest in more normal and ordered and positive ways for Gods kingdom advancement. Joyous service and worship and giving and helping and love and kindness and gratitude and patience and compassion. These are the real "fruits" that come after the messy birth that videos like these can't capture.

Being in "piles on the floor just enjoying the presence of the Lord and enjoying each other" as a manifestation of "accessing" spiritual joy is only happening at places that explicitly teach or practive this (soical contagion?). You even say "often times the holy spirit isn't radically overwhelming that you can't do anything about it, often times you can...get it together and then do the thing that the Lord's been asking you to do" expressly acknowledging that it's a self-made choice to act this way, and by implication in opposition to what the Lord might be asking you to do. Is this level of self-expression and control really comparable to pentecost?

Poor poor interpretation of acts 2. Eli thought Hannah, Samuels soon to be mother was drunk in the temple at Shiloh because she moved her lips while praying without making a sound. Those in acts 2 did not ‘stumble’ out into the streets they were in the temple celebrating Pentecost. Those who were in the temple were hearing noises of people speaking loudly in different languages that’s why they said ‘they are drunk’. Absolutely no basis for using acts 2 to justify this sort of behaviour. Kenneth hagin taught this nonsense long before bethel also.
Until as a long-serving earnest Christian it happens to you and your life is transformed from dry service into life-filled joyful witness. The fruit of the Spirit is joy, and laughter was invented in heaven. Sure joy is not confined to frivolous merriment, but it certainly includes it. Jesus was anointed with the oil of joy above his companions, and I'm certain that included laughing more than most. Even at his birth the angels announced Jesus with great joy. May God bless you with more joy and laughter unto more effective witness.

I can testify that this Holy Laughter is the real deal. It’s only happened to me once in my 57 years, and it
happened in the most unlikely place.
Laughter in the spirit is real. I've experienced that privately in deep prayers on the spirit
It's called mental illness.
Of course there are counterfeits of every spiritual
experience.
Yes it is real people that haven't experienced it don't understand it. It's supernatural by the Holy Spirit.🙏🔥🙏😊

Here is that Hebrew word your referring to and it does not mean shake:

The meaning of certain Hebrew words changes based on context, the context in Genesis is way different than in Jeremiah. In Genesis it is not saying Gods Spirit shook, but that it was *resting* or *hovering* do not be deceived, there's no mention of the Holy Spirit causing intoxication. But rather the opposite- it causes self control.

Its a very full on thing that is confronting for people who aren't experiencing it
Yeah, I’m gonna go with no one this. Scripture doesn’t say to be drunk with the spirit, but filled. God is a God of order, not chaos.
When the Holy Spirit is on you, there is a manifestation of His presence.
@@matasaina2011 sure, but it will be a manifestation characterized by order because God cannot act outside of his character.
Scripture does talk about being drunk in the Spirit. You need to read your bible
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Ephesians 5:17-20 NKJV
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free-and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.
I Corinthians 12:13 NKJV
Scripture likens drinking with being filled with the Holy Spirit. This means that we are to be so overcome with he Holy Spirit that it's not normal and people think we are drunk.
Remember when the apostles were preaching at 9 in the morning and the crowd thought they were drunk. I'm sure they had to be acting crazy for others to think like that.
@@jesuslovesyou1921 you need to read carefully what you just quoted chief. “Filled with the spirit” is not “drunk in the spirit.”

For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 14:1-2 ESV
@@Vita1ized 1 Corinthians 14:3-33 (KJV)
"But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.
But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
These men don't know what they're talking about
The Lord gives me a choice He never forceful I can choose to allow Him to make me laugh or this drunk or don’t.
In my 36 yrs as an adult christian I have only had the experience of being " drunk in the Spirit" one time but I can tell you it is completely real
I was at home alone just enjoying praying and spending time with Jesus and afterward when to cook supper and I caught myself giggling turning to outright laughter and I noticed I was actually staggering a little bit when I walked. I had no idea what was going on and I had to wait till I went back to church and was mentioning the experience and someone told me that is what it was. I have witnessed it by others many times since then but has never happened to me again but I know the experience is very real.
2 Corinthians 5:12-17
The revelation of Christ's promise fulfilled overwhelmed them in a way that looked foolish. Blessings.

Marked and avoided. Thanks!
It is best to just move on then, no need to keep commenting on these videos if you can't see what the Lord is doing. Bill's character speaks for itself and God defends His own.

Just saying

In 1 Corinthians Paul teaches to be orderly with spiritual things. His examples were prophecy and interpretation of tongues that weren’t orderly but that doesn’t make it false or demonic.

I keep seeing people say “God is a God of this or that, not a God of the other.” Every time I see this, it seems like finite people are trying to define God. Reading the Bible shows that you cannot fit God into any box, no matter how good it seems. We could say “God is a God of compassion, not wickedness,” yet, He commanded the Israelites to wipe out entire nations. We could say “God is a God of strength, not weakness,” yet He died on a cross. God is the One who defines virtue and what it looks like to Him. We cannot dictate what He does or does not do. If we can do that, He ceases to be God and becomes something of our creation.

But God forbid that someone laughs a bit when experiences the fullness of joy that brings His presence.

I'd like to hear Bill speak more and the host to let him. Thanks
Why, have you not had enough of biblical error already?
I appreciate your position/perspective.
My personal outlook is extremely similar to what you've taken the time to say here.
@@jamestaillon4781 Scripture says "in all your getting, get understanding" and that we should "pursue knowledge and wisdom". God gave us Scripture so that we could KNOW HIM.

@@htebazileeilsel2293 , you're right, BUT just because one would seek knowledge and pursue wisdom does not mean that one would obtain it in its entirety. God alone knows all things.

*"Therefore if the whole church gathers together and all the people speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are insane?"* 1 Corinthians 14:23 Paul didn't think there was *anything good* about appearing mad, in fact he spoke against it, knowing that non-Christians will see it and think you're nuts...and they do.
I love being drunk in the Spirit

Can you do a video on speaking in tongues and how praying in the spirit means speaking in tongues?
God bless you guys. Y'all have brought me closer to the Lord with your fantastic teachings!
Thank you for your kind words
@@Bethel_Online you're welcome!
Couldn’t have said this better myself.
Don't you mean appalling 'exegesis'? It's excellent eisogesis!

I agree! Be the I has some weird teachings I don't believe are scriptural. And yes I'm a joyful spirit filled born again Christ follower!
The joy they say is of the Lord, is not a lasting enduring joy and peace. It always leaves you the next day and in a pit of hell.....looking for the next fix, like a drug addiction. The people in this movement are full of jealousy, competitivness, backbitting, gossips, greedy, fleshy, money lovers and elitists.
I now have been many years out of this craziness, Praise God! I have an lasting peace that is solid and have not been depressed like I was then....it was quite crippling then.
I had to repent and avail myself of good solid bible teaching......the basics. Truly these deceivers have no good fruit, none at all...it is bad!
God bless!

How is that glorifying to God? I'm not being negative, I promise. But I didn't feel that brought any glory to Him at all, and she is a wonderful missionary with a great testimony of the power of God.
There are moments in the Bible where the Presence of Jesus FLOORED people, before & after the Cross. The beauty & power of His Presence can be overwhelming, but many people either don’t know or want to experience God FREELY, they want CONTROL.
As a result they live powerless, or striving lives instead out of overflow.

Actually, all I heard him talk about was bull's and their messes, which seems extremely appropriate when describing the insanity of being, 'drunk in the Spirit', second only to being, 'slayed in the Spirit.' 🙄
If heretical garbage is wisdom, then yes.
Thank you pastor bill Johnson you are blessing and inspiration in life. I love you teaching. Please keep teaching and preaching the kingdom.
Isn't it so I obvious that Mr Johnson couldn't find a basis for the so called drunk in the spirit?
The bible doesn’t say they stumbled out into the streets. It also says some made fun of them saying they’ve had too much wine they didn’t actually think they were drunk they were making fun. The Spirit of God doesn’t mimic the effects of alcohol. Read the text guys
Thank you so much❤️
Some declared they were drunk, others marveled at the fact they were speaking clearly in their language, a drunk wouldn't speak clearly in his native language let alone a foriegn language they didn't know.
Amen, well said. One believer has rarely converted another from Bible-thumping.
LOL!
You don't mention the whole scripture..
We have a whole scripture!!
@@CGGeary they are giving a human expression for an encounter that is of the Spirit.
If you sought the Lord digently for what the Spirit had to offer through an encounter, I promise you that you would never try talk about what you dont understand again.
We Christians sure have lots to say, and the world is hungry for the Truth and we argue like fools, over what we don't understand.
Lord help our hearts!
(I feel like I'm doing a reverse of the Bane quote from The Dark Night rises - "we merely adopted the light")
So when we go from our normal mundane human reality - and get touched and enveloped by the holy spirit - its a HUGE and sudden change.
@@David-_-_- I just would like to point out that you decided to use a quote from a Batman film before using Scripture. There is no Scripture for what you're saying.
Ephesians 4:11-15 (ESV): d he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV): All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work

If you notice in all these videos Bill has a bible next to him that he never opens yo read .
He literally read out of it in this one… ☝️
Psalm 119;11. He has it in his heart and speaks the Word frequently from his heart. And yes he did open it to Acts 2 on this particular occasion.
Yay

Don’t compare yourself to others. You’re spiritual maturity is not measured according to these experiences but the fruit of the Spirit that results from them. Be patient with yourself and tender hearted to the Voice of the Shepherd. God bless you!
There's no verse in the Bible that says you must get drunk in the Spirit.
Ephesians 5:18 says "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,"
Being filled with the Holy Spirit doesn't mean getting drunk in the Holy Spirit. There's no such thing
Once in prayer I asked the Lord "is there anything I have not surrendered to you "?
"Your sensibilities" was the immediate response...interesting, but you have to receive it by faith

Do they not see that these manifestation like; tounges/ babblings, shaking, fire/burning, screaming, withering on the floor, animal sounds, euphoric feelings, kackling/uncontrollable laughing, have shown up in ungodly religions? Budism, Hinduism, Islam, Mormonism, Catholicism, cults, etc.
