What do you think about After Effects 2025's new 3D workflow? Is this a game-changer for motion graphics or just a small step forward? Let me know your thoughts below!
What I need in AE right now: - native seamless support of blender and c4d files - rocket fast UI (fix annoying window resizes) - GPU render for whole project not only particular effects While the AE team is still trying 3d workflow to start working as it should years ago.. I suppose they'd better find brand new team and create the new AE from scratch. It's a pain to insert something inside this old monster
They are taking steps in the right direction but there’s still a long way to go if they want people to achieve realistic results. Some next steps could be adding more realistic light sources and supporting features like volumetric lighting, PBR materials and global illumination
That's really great ! Now I can FINALLY make baby yoda kick superman's arse in after effects without going in blender and waiting a whole century for it to render. Quick question tho, can we change texture and material settings as well? Because I noticed that the car looked a little more shiney than I'd like it to be.
its nice that AE added this feature. but na. the final result isnt that convincing compared to what vfx from a 3D render brings. can be used in stylized motion graphics etc
What do you think about incorporating AI-made footage in the After Effect workflow? Are you positive about using AI-made footage and then using it as material for After Effects? I am thinking about Adobe's own video generator (Firefly), OpenAI's SORA, and DeepMind's Veo, or other video generators.
For the 15th year in a row "the Adobe new version" is supposed to do fast renders and yet all I saw was a grainy proxy render not even close to a client review let alone a final product. So if a youtuber can't finish a shot on a decent level of quality how could someone in a production? The pattern is the same every year and yet a single file playback is an impossibility for this "game changer".
@@JustinSerranDigital hey sorry I’m just super frustrated cos adobe is a shitty company that I spent thounsands of dollars on and they kept promising things that other software developers have done for years and adobe is still the windows movie maker of the 2020s :D
Am an after effects user from 2008 since videocopilot was a hype , can you imagine 17 years getting by and still up to date rendering 3d is a struggle ,no volumetric lighting…. That is like apple phones, where they give you the simplest tweak from an android phone only 20 years later for no fuckin reason ! Am 30 years old mate , waisted my 20s tryina wait for adobe to make some major updates . Hopefully i switched to other 3d apps .Ae is jut a 2d animation workdesk nothing more they can shove the 3d capabilities somewhere
Great video thank you! This is awesome for some people who are still using element 3D for their 3D/AE workflow. And wow lots of naysayers in the comments, bet they are fun @ parties! 😂, some people just love to kill the vibe eh? I just ignore the idiots, best way to deal with them. Don’t answer them and they go away pretty quick.
It works similar to how it usually works in After Effects. Since the movement in all these scenes was minimal, I didn’t bother. Should have mentioned it in the tutorial tho! Thanks for watching!
I believe you'd need to set them up separately in Adobe Substance, or other 3D Modelling software first. Hopefully soon we can do all this in AE! Thanks for watching.
Nice if you want to play around with 3d, but definitely not for high-end 3d renders, which most of the users will use 3d for. And After effects for just post production.
AE 2025 catches up to Hitfilm in 2012. Of course Hitfilm is dead now, so Adobe gets the last laugh, but I do wonder why it took Adobe so long to do this.
Hope all is well on your end man! This doesn’t strike me as a comment made by someone particularly happy. I’m just trynna report on adobes newest tools. If you don’t like them, don’t use them ❤👊🏻
there are multiple workflows for VFX that also include after effects for what it does well, After effects would have to be rebuilt from zero, during long years to reach de 3d capabilities of even something like blender al these renders look exceptionally bad, and don't get offended like in the other comments, i'm not talking about you, but about the software
Re read the comments. No one was getting offended. Simply pointing out that criticism that isn’t constructive typically comes from a place of not feeling great about yourself. You’re free to feel however you’d like about the software. Thanks for watching, and engaging dude ❤🙏🏻
Lame ......... sub par ....... Not a pro tool at all.... how about you try adding a colour correction or a blur to the 3d layer....... Clunky workflow!!!!
@@mosquedadavidGood point. Also the sub fees. I don’t think there’s anything here that can’t be done in free/cheap Fusion. Have to learn AE for a possible job 🤢

very cool for simple models to make motion graphics into real footage. But to make it look realistic for vfx shots it still has a long way to go

@@abeblue no, in Houdini!
The latest big updates where coming from videocopilot years ago.... And even they stuck with "Nebula" plugin development.
eh..i think expecting native blender import is pretty crazy lol
the rest is real though

element 3D (after efects plugin) still exist since 8 or 10 years and is doing a much btter job?
Great video - Thanks for sharing. New features are great.
element3D still looks better
Congratulations. Best . More one subscriber
Thank you for the content
of course! glad you enjoy it.
I don't think it's ready for a VFX 3D workflow, but it's a step forward. I see it mostly used for stylelized 3D motion graphics type work for now.
fair take! Thanks for watching.

Thanks Rich! got some cool ways to implement this with skating footage. Appreciate you as always!

Element 3d has been available for after effects for over a decade. I'll always use an actual 3d program instead of ae.

try blender than export again as glb
Please add 5.1 audio support!
After effects adds Element 3D 10 years later. I guess we know why they called it after effects. The effects come way after you needed them.
CRAZY
Not bad eh??
Now if they would just add a setting between 50% and 100% when using the mouse wheel to set viewport scale.

good but the textures always come out looking bad...
EXR sequence render way too slow. Go switching to fusion
