You can fill it with any paper you want, and move pages around, customizing it to your needs.

Interesting idea. I'm not much for junk journals. But I think I could do this to make a scrapbook of places I have been when I was young. I have boxes of pamphlets and postcards I collected before I was old enough for cameras. Hmm, I saw some big planners cheap on clearance. Those would give a big scrapbook. I need to brainstorm this.

I've been wanting to make a junk journal, but have been intimidated by the sewing. I have plenty of discs and old planner covers that I can use. Great idea.😊🧡🍁
Yes! No sewing required in the discbound version. Unless you wanted to sew on your pages.

I use a stapler to bind my journals, I’m using a happy planner note book to junk journal in!
I just used a regular journal for my current one, a sketchbook for the next one. Also check places that sell yearly/dated planners - they usually sell stuff off cheap when it's part way through the year. I've got a couple of those for my next junk journals.

Yes! One of the reasons junk journaling is so great! As crafters we already have almost everything we need to get started. (Besides this project) most of my junk journal supplies I either already have, or are bought at used book sales and thrift stores.

Thank you! It's definitely a different look and feel. I'm used to the pages being sewn in to the book so they're very snug. This will definitely take some getting used to.

I just stumbled upon your channel, I love happy planners/all things planning but also, growing up I had a cat named Peanutty and I’ve never ever heard anyone else use that name before now! Just thought that was a cute little coincidence, it made my day 🥰
Thanks for watching! Yeah, when I was a kid my parents called me by my first and middle name, then Peanut Dolly. Sometimes I wouldn't answer unless they addressed me by the full title. 🤣 My older siblings brought the nickname back when I was in high school, but it's shortened version of "Peanutty." They still use it. My sister's kids even call me, "Aunt Peanutty." 💕

I love my Daphne Diary books and I can’t bear to pull anything out of it to use in my junk journal,lol
I know! They're absolutely beautiful! It can be hard to cut out pieces but they make any project you use them I beautiful, too.
What did you do with the planner guts?
A lot of the pages I cover with patterned paper or paint over, cover with maps, ephemera, etc.
If punch gets real stuck put it on the floor and step on it lol works

Hii!! Where do you buy the magazines?
You can usually find them in Joann's and Barnes and Nobles. Check the link in the description for information about subscriptions.
You can also find magazines to use in your junk journal in thrift shops. Also some libraries have a free magazine section.
What do you do with the inserts?
So far I've used one for swatching ink pads, one to put washi samples on, and one to glue papers/ephemera to. Make sure to check out my junk journal playlist! 😁
