Hi Patrick. I live in Stockport and often look longingly at kinder in the distance . Never circumnavigated the edge but walked the western edge many times. You have inspired me to camp. Cheers.
Another fabulous video Patrick. I was camped just down the valley around Jaggers Clough myself two weeks ago. I'll be happy when my videos are as entertaining as yours and I'd love to have the same knowledge of the local area. some of your photos are stunning. Keep up the great work.
Hi Paul and thanks for comments I suppose the more videos you do the better we all get, been into photography since was a boy photographing wildlife etc on basic manual camera so made you learn about how camera works. The bit that causes me problems is the computer side of it due to my age probably, but learning all the time thanks again Pat
Hi Pat I’m still working my way through your videos 💓. Enjoyed this one very much.. what stunning scenery! Thanks for sharing. Would love to do that walk one day, especially while the heather is out in full bloom - just beautiful! Much love, Ginette xXx
Hi Ginette, yes beautiful place when the weather is fine and clear, I camped up there last week, video will be out later in the week. I had one sunny day and next day could not see anything for low cloud, still a beautiful place.....thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 Dear Pat, I shall look forward to that. I bought myself a treat the other day - a bottle of Glenmorangie…I shall pour a nip and enjoy watching your latest adventures! Much love, Ginette xXx
Hi there.....I enjoy your wee videos and glimpses of the lovely English countryside... I am from Stockton on Tees in County Durham, but have lived in the USA for many years.. Presently based in Southern California where it’s a desert...so it’s grand to see all the nice greenery......reminds me of my days as a young lad, going rambling through the woods and in the summer meadows with my wee dog... Really enjoyed the pub crawl vid as well.. (might try making one myself)... Thanks a lot sir.. Cheers Stuart....
Wonderful, did Kinder last week. 3days up the mountain carrying 3 days rations. I'm used to flat east anglia so a bit of a shock and bloody hard work but oh so worth it. Going from mermaids pool upto the downfall was the heaviest going. Much steeper than anticipated!
Yes Andy, but once that initial steep climb is over the rest is easy, with a different amazing view round each bend. One of my favourite places, be back up there soon, thanks Pat
You should never have to feel like you need to apologize for beautiful pictures!! Well done Pat.. l enjoyed the walk and all the beauty of your countryside.. thank you for the video once again..
Looked like a great few days out, good for the soul and nothing beats watching the crowds walk off back down while you have it all to yourself. Thanks for sharing and hope you're still enjoying the er6. ATB Steve
Hi Steve yes this was one of the best walks I have done , every few minutes the view changes, you feel like you are on top of the world up on kinder such a great place, still using the bike when I have time and still enjoying the rides round the Peak district, all the best Pat
Thanks pat for allowing us to join you on this walk great pictures great views great place to be much appreciated pat I was with you in spirit it's also a favourite place of mine
Hi Richard, same as you Kinder Scout is a favorite place to go especially when I want some peace and quite and a feeling of solitude, thanks for watching and commenting Pat
Excellent. Was planning same trip, including train to Edale. Will be my first in a year because of illness. So a booster to see a very good preview. Once again, excellent.
Humans worse than midges. I've never heard that one before Patrick. Mind you the route planned promised great things. And so it was mate with the opening climb. Fantastic vista! Well, you did eventually get the hills to yourself with some of the best filtered water this side of Manchester. Another fabulous outing. All the best. Mark.
Hi Mark , I suppose humans are not that bad its just nice to have the hills to yourself, great walk, great views what more can you ask for and that Kinder water taste great even though still a bit brown in colour, all the best pat
Patrick Dickinson Hey Pat I loved it....resonated with the hike and the water. It tasted good from here. If you like my latest upload is all about water and the taste of it...a good little adventure. Any way, all the best. Mark.
What a joy for me to be able to see all the places my brother told me about but for other reasons I was never able to get up there. Absolutely wonderful video and so professional too. Love the fact you added the locations, as so many people fail to do when they do videos. Thank you so much.
Hi again Phyliss yes Kinder Scout is one of our high places in the Peak District, but very small compared to the Scotish mountains. Its a place you can walk and hopefully not see anybody for a few hours. looked at a couple of your video, I worked in Rotherham as a Electrical Engineer in the 1990,s replaced many substations including Oakwood Secondary School as it was called, and Thomas Rotherham College next door, only seems like yesterday but that how time fly's. Thanks for your comments and watching Pat
I just found your channel and i'm delighted that there's another peak district walking channel! Your videos are extremely professional and atmospheric, and very inspiring too.
Hi and thanks for comments, much appreciated, this was a great walk and I was blessed with beautiful weather, must get back up on Kinder soon, thanks again Pat
Hi Patrick just did this the opposite way around on Wednesday. Went up Crowden clough scrambled near the waterfalls. I camped up past Seal edge. The weather was great and not too hot. I came down Ringing Rodger. This is my 6th wild camp this year and I have been impressed by your routes and even inspired to do this at 52. Well into the camping now thanks and atb Dave.
Hi Dave so many great places to camp up on Kinder, at least as we get older we hopefully have more time to do the things we enjoy. I cannot ever envisage not being able to go out wild camping. I,am hoping to camp on Kinder probably October time coming up from Hayfield on the Manchester side to try and get some views of Manchester by night. All the best Pat
Fantastic video buddy, really enjoyed taking the trip around with you. I admire your spirit Patrick and your enthusiasm for movie making. Great piece of movie configuration. Thank you Dr Paul.
Truly wonderful Patrick. I have never visited the Peak District but it is now on the list. Stunning pictures and footage and I know exactly what you mean when you say how hard it is to walk past a view without capturing it, a moment in time. A great comment at the end regarding the learning of local landmarks to aid navigation. Thank you for sharing. Happy wandering. Paul :)
Hi Paul yes a great walk with the Peak District showing its wounderful summer colours. the edge path is such a great path as once you have got the climb up out the way about one hour then there are views all the time. Thanks for watching and comments Pat
hi Simon yes the weather was great a bit warm at times when climbing up but a constant breeze kept me cool. Can,t complain as its usually thick mist or fog or raining up on Kinder. thanks for watching Pat
Hi Carl yes the Peak District although not to high only 600 meters at highest point has such a variety of places to walk and camp, thanks for comments and watching Pat
great video Pat I've not been wild camping for about 35 years but you have rekindled my enthusiasm I am used to tame campsites nowadays I'm about five years older than and I've slowed down a bit but I hope to find a nice site that's not a long hike keep up the good work
Hi Pat, enjoyed watching your video. Glad you put on all the pics. Not been out walking round kinder for a a long time now. Makes me want to get back out there. Closet place I was last was over hayfield way, up at mt famine and out the way. The midges are a pain and I agree with you regarding when people come along its time to move on to somewhere else on your own. Looking forward to your next video. All the best!
Hi Simon yes when I looked throu my photos I took I did not want to leave any out as they were all part of the walk and great views, I was pleased how they worked out as majority were taken on my Sony mobile phone easier than getting my DSLR out, thanks for watching and commenting Pat
Patrick Dickinson yes all those pics are great. I get like that a bit sometimes and don't really want to exclude any pics. The camera on your phone is very good getting all those decent shots. You're welcome about the comment. Looking forward to your next adventure. All the best. Simon
As usual Patrick excellent entertaining video. As someone stated you can be quite amusing at times. What a beautiful walk, good work out. I'd love to do this myself one day.
Hi yes this is a really great walk such fantastic scenery round every corner, once yo have got the initial climb out the way its basically a level ridge walk, hope you try it out one day thanks for watching Pat
Thanks for this excellent video Patrick. It’s one of the best I’ve seen of the peaks by far, keep up the great work & hopefully may bump into ya up there one day.
Russ Lynch Hi Russ, amazing walk this, a different view round every bend and once the initial climb is out the way it's a nice easy walk, all the best Pat
Patrick you are what UA-cam was meant for all them years ago. Brilliant channel. I remember messaging you ages ago that I'd take you down Flo Selecta in Derby. Offer still stands.
Nice one pat. Great to see familiar landscapes. I've camped at crowden tower (wet) and walked from edale to grindslow knoll. I think we walked up to ringing Rodger on our camp too. Do I know how steep it is. Your right about getting familiar with landmarks. Very useful good tip there. I too prefer the autumn winter camps for the same reasons. I'm off up to Scotland next week. Midge and rain hell. Gotta love this wildcamping. Lol. Thanks for taking us along . look forward to more adventures from you. Atb Andy.
Hi Andy must be my favorite place in the Peak District as so wild, although in summer you can be saying hello, hello, hello to dozens of people up there. Winters great as you get the place to yourself and I sometimes wonder were every body has gone, not complaining though. Once the initial climb is out the way the walking round the edge is easy, stray off the path and venture into the central area and and its another world, I ,ve got disorientated many a time. Enjoy your trip to Scotland, may the sun beat down on you, all the best Pat
Great video Patrick. Been planning to do Kinder for long while but not got round to it. Think I'm going to try doing the same route soon. Great pics, thanks for sharing.
Hi Adam September a good time as quieter now school hols over although anytime on Kinder is a great time just different challenges. The northern edges are the best and you can walk for hours without seeing a soul. Thanks for watching all the best Pat
Hi Billy yes Kinder is a great place to walk, the edge path is easy navigation and great views as you can see. A lot of people just do a section at a time, gives you more time to admire the views, all the best Pat
Hi Tim every corner or rock you walked past gave a different view, must of spent half time walking other half just taking photos, impossible to reject any as all great views, such a great walk, thanks for watching Pat
excellent. just excellent. thanks for putting in the effort and sharing. one thing i don't understand is how u keep the camera so still when you are scrambling around eg at around the 5:35 mark. your body is moving all over the place but the camera shots are rock solid. i'd love to have some insight into that. thx. atb
Hi Terry, just had a quick look back at that point I was using my Sony mobile phone on a selfie stick, the phone takes good video and photos and being light easy to hold at arms length on selfie stick, the problem with the mobile is that if its windy its not worth using for video because on wind noise and after a meter the audio drops off. Most of the time it is windy so I use my Sony DSLR with microphone and sock which gives great video and audio but is so heavy especially on selfie stick. I,am still working on different methods, good video and sound means carrying such a lot of heavy gear and I,am supposed to be lightweight camping, hope useful all the best Pat
Hi Julie worth all the puffing and panting climbing up Ringing Rodger for that fantastic view, a really great walk with a different view round each bend. Looking forward to camping on Kinder Scout in the next couple of months as the seasons change and we approach winter, praying for some snow as we got very little last winter, thanks for comments and watching all the best Pat
Hi Dominic glad you enjoyed video must admit the views on this walk were fantastic, will be back up there in Autumn and Winter hope we get some snow this year, thanks for watching Pat
The man made bowls cut in the gritstone are only found on stanedge. They were cut by mason called broomhead in 1907. All the other bowls on other moors formed naturally by wind/water erosion.
Great stuff Patrick. I'm planning that walk for my next trip, hopefully some time this year, £24 return from Liverpool for me, which is not a bad price for a good little adventure.
Good price that from Liverpool, take it you,LL start at Edale, hard climb up but straight forward after that, a amazing walk with fantastic views round each bend, you will love it, all the best Pat
Hi Bryan and thanks for kind comments makes all the filming and editing worthwhile, i was lucky with the weather and got some great photos, thanks again Pat
Hi Martin yes i ,ve got to agree the views were fantastic spent more time taking photos than walking but was worth it as the weather up there is not always so kind, thanks for watching Pat
No need for the apologies Pat some cracking photos there pal brilliant views.Been round that perimeter path but in sections on different days doing different walks/camps my self but I'd never considered doing the full walk in one.Would love to have a crack at it now after watching you're vid & thinking to my self it must be a cracking walk. You looked as always like you enjoyed you're self apart from the ascent of ringing Roger of course ;-) atb Andy.
Hi Andy yes its a great walk to do in one go, if done in a day then simple day pack makes it easier. I did it a few years ago as a day walk and once the climbs out the way its a simple walk with very little navigation, as long as it stays clear. One of my favorite parts of Peak District so back up there in few days, Thanks for comments all the best Pat
I really enjoyed this video. I thought the way you broke up the tramping sections with still photos of the highlights was an excellent idea. Keep it up Patrick.
matauboy Hi yes the quality of a still photo sometimes better than video and a lot quicker, thigh I did spend more time photographing than walking, but with a different view round each corner what else could I do, thanks Pat
Hi there thought the info would be usefu,l a lot of the views etc I new but some I had to research and also interesting in discovering why certain rocks had such unusual names, thanks for watching and commenting Pat
Patrick I really enjoyed the video (and others) .Thanks for the effort and detail you put into this and all your videos in which your enjoyment come shining through. Having just been on my first wild camp - which was up Crookstone knoll - I've definitely got the bug to be up there again soon. Nothing like waking up to such a morning. I hope to put my video together soon of my own camp adventure. I have to work out the water situation too as so heavy to carry up so thanks for the sawyer filter heads up. Will be learning as I go along. Stephen.
hi Stephen, I think we are all still learning, with new gear and experimenting with new food or how to reduce our pack weight part of the fun and what makes wild camping interesting. First wild camp in always a adventure, now you know you can do it and start planning new camps, all the best Pat
Hi Bill Kinder scout is a great place to walk and camp an hours walk from Edale where you can catch a train to then your up on a wild moorland plateau, another world, all the best Pat
Love your vids Pat, I look forward to all your fantastic outdoor meals, bet they taste wonderfully good in the fresh air. Keep the videos coming, love seeing the brilliant countryside that you visit.
Wow stunning views.. glad you didn't reject to many pictures mate.. Camping in that area tomorrow.. looking forward to it even more after watching this.. Take it easy - ATB - Marcus
Dead Fall Outdoors Hi Carl yes beautifully up on Kinder at this time of the year, or anytime of the year, some of those views are amazing, glad you enjoyed it, all the best Pat
Hi Umar really nice walk if you get some clear weather to take in the views, navigation pretty easy once your on the edge path if weather is clear, not so straightforward if mist and cloud come down. Hope you have a great walk all the best Pat
Hi there weather was great for Kinder as can be very wet and misty at times. Concentrated on walk and views on this one, there is only so much time on video so thought I would miss the cooking side out. Will be important part of other videos as I have my dehydrator to experiment with, thanks for watching Pat
love it camping up there myself Patrick I was up there early august for a 1 nighter it was great all on my own on gringslow knoll looking down towards edale
hi Kevin yes Grindslow Knoll a great spot bivvyed there myself couple of years ago about 10M down from summit to get out the wind. Fantastic view looking down valley, all the best Pat
Hi Kev yes its a straight forward walk round the edge path and once you have got the initial climb out the way its pretty easy going, and the views are fantastic, all the best Pat
Throughly enjoyed this one Pat, the views and the out crops are amazing, walks like these really call to you as this has now to me, thanks to you... Having now broken my wild camping virginity, I can understand why so many people love it as I now am hooked... What did that water taste like? Looked peaty...
Hi Dikhara, on this video I would of used my Sony A37 DSLR, very heavy but great footage and photographs, trying to getaway with lighter cameras now, thanks Pat
Hi Pat. Love your videos. They are inspiring me for the upcoming season. What type of water filter are you using. I couldn't quite make out the make from the video. Thanks.
Hi Tom, I would say get out no matter what, it's all waiting for you. The water filter I used was a Sawyer Mini Filters, very lightweight and small and easy to use. All the best Pat
Hi Chris yes I was really lucky with the weather 2 clear days on the trot allowed me to get the photos i wanted, many a time I, ve been up there could not see further than 10 meters, thanks for watching Pat
Hi there, midges are bad enough but when there crowds of people time to get off somewhere on my own. luckily most of the time you can walk for miles on Kinder without seeing a soul especially in Winter, Thanks for watching Pat
Oh I agree 100%! Was more a laughing with you in agreement :D The walk around Kinder plateau looked amazing. I really like the distances involved. Makes it a very appealing over nighter, not having to power hike. Added to my list :)
Great video, We've been up via Jacobs ladder and down to barber booth about 7 times, We did it in both directions, We camps a few times as well. Going to do that, Thanks for the info
hi patrick great vid and as usual and one i can account with as i did myself many years ago . I did it in the opposite direction and went up crowden brook and overnighted at seal stones were i was awoken in the night by a sheep sheltering behind my tent . I Agree with a above comment about the photos none should have been rejected and ill admit youve done them all a credit by naming them and for once you can actually see were from there name comes from . keep up the good work andy
Hi Andrew yes very similar walk, Crowden Brook is a great walk up similar to all ways up Kinder very steep at the top but once your up the rest of the walking is easy. Interesting learning the names of the rocks and the history behind them, a great area to walk and camp, thanks again Pat
This is probably my favourite You Tube vid!! Looking to do this exact trip in a couple of weeks. Any idea if there's a mobile signal up there Pat? Thinking for emergency. Also do you reckon it will be dry enough up top to camp at the moment?
lincolnshire hiker Hi it's amazing up there, probably a bit wet at moment especially if you leave the outer perimeter path that I walked a long. But it is Ok to camp all year round, winter bring solitude, a bit more of a challenge but worth it for the feeling of adventure. I have camped at Fairbrook Naze, got a perfect 4g signal, a lot of the area up there has a mobile signal and bits don,t. You will have a amazing camp, all the best Pat
Hi Mark The weather sort of made it a lot of time on Kinder you are lucky to see 10 meters due to mist and rain. A view round each corner, I spent more time photographing than walking so many great views, all the best Pat
Great Video Patrick, and some good photography. I know what you mean about other people, I am fortunate to get out mid week...so always quieter. sometimes you just want these places all to yourself.
Hi Steve its great if you can get out midweek sometimes you can walk for several hours until you meet another walker. The northern edge of kinder scout is like that as its a bit more remote and awkward to get to, a great place. thanks for watching all the best Pat
Hi Mike, yes I feel very lucky that kinder Scout is only a 20 min train ride from wear I like in Sheffield, each time I go up there I find something different or different views at different times of the year, looking forward to some snow this coming winter, all the best Pat
Hi Patrick. Loved the video. I know it’s a few years old now but I watched for inspiration for good camping spots on the edge. In the video you said you had read up on the names of the rock formations. Where did you do your research? The OS map only names a few and I can’t find any books on kinder scout. Can you point me in the right direction? I’d love to learn more about the amazing place
Hi Kevin, a lot of info came from OS maps, but look up a walking guide called Dark Peak Stones by Ken Jones, if he is still selling the guide, all your information is there.......Pat
Possible wild camp is the top Dovestones in Greenfield there is a walk called the pennine experience 8 miles really nice water fall to climb up but I always do it the opposite way round to make it more interesting.
Hi there yep very lucky with the weather, although any time up on kinder scout is a great time. This is our highest area in the Peak district, jealous of all the great mountains and choice of areas you have in Scotland. all the best Pat
Great video and very interesting history. I was with the Canadian Airforce in Germany 1978 to 1993 after Desert Storm. Now the Canadian F86 was built or modified in Canada also had 4 20m/m cannon instead of the 6 50 Caliber machineguns. Also these were probably from the Canadian Airforce Base's in France since De gaul kicked Nato out of France in Early 1960's.I believe Canada had a large amount of F86's in Europe probably 50 or more. PS,US F86 needed big seviceing about every 6 weeks many Stateside. There is a good book written by a Canadian F86 vet, called Into the Wild Blue .Great read and you will get a view into the many pranks which went on in Nato between ourselves. Enjoy the Read.PS. Spec wise the Canadian version did better for the pilots flying in them. Yhey were not sea versions
Love this video, maybe it’s because this walk is one I’m desperate to complete. I’m hoping to complete it in a day, do you think this is realistic? I’ve done 12 miles in a day, no problem. I live south east Sheffield so I’m not far from you. Hope you’re well, cheers, Ken
Hi Ken, yes if you can do 20 plus miles in one go you will be ok, once the initial climb out the way then pretty level, and just follow the edge path, best if you have good weather, all the best Pat
Thanks Nigel, it's not as bad as it looks, in summer, plenty of daylight, once you, ve done the initial climb the just a matter of following the edge path all the way round, all the best Pat
Patrick Dickinson thanks for your reply pat, useful information, told my son’s about it and I think we’re going to do this, it looks such an inspiring walk to do, perhaps end of spring, thanks
Hi Patrick, I'm glad Ive found your channel, although theres only about a handful of walks I have watched them several times over and keep enjoying them. Could you tell me the model of trousers you were wearing? I can see they are Craghoppers but not sure which ones they are. A friend and i got lost on Kinder scout and were circling round for hours the evening before starting the Pennine Way about twenty years ago. We only went up for a quick look.... I do landscape photography and if possible I would love to see more sunshine in your videos. Best Wishes, you and your videos are very relaxing to watch. David
Hi David, just been to look at my trousers, washed so many times the lable has faded, as you say they are Craghoppers , just found them on web they era Kiwi Pro stretch, just have a bit of stretch to them and closer fitting. I will try and get more sunshine but up on Kinder well your lucky to get a sunny day. Sometimes I find it difficult to get good video in bright sunlight, would much rather film in light cloud. Thanks for comments Pat

Great video and photos Patrick! 100% on the cards this walk now. My 2nd camp was at Wool Packs, was brilliant.
Yes a fantastic walk, the same views from the Wool Packs, but changing all the time, all the best Pat

DrTeno Guy Hi Paul for location and scenery must be best walk ever, at night yougetthe place to yourself, thanks Pat
I love the Northern edges. I did a short version with my son last Easter, he didn't fancy the route of the wholee dges of the Kinder plateaux !
Yes Malcolm the Northern edges are the best, few people and great views, what more could you ask for, thanks Pat

hi Simon yes the weather was great a bit warm at times when climbing up but a constant breeze kept me cool. Can,t complain as its usually thick mist or fog or raining up on Kinder. thanks for watching Pat
Just started watching your videos. There brilliant. I luv camping and walking watching your videos makes me wanna do it. Beautiful places👍
Thanks Paul we have some beautiful places to walk and camp round here, thanks for watching Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 no problem. Definitely beautiful places. Keep up the great work pat👍
Fantastic walk. Thanks for sharing ,Recently walked The Great Ridge want to do more now
Hi Paul, another impressive walk The Great Ridge and very easy to get to, only problem too many people, all the best Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 Agree about the amount of people . Lose Hill end was ok. I come from Retford so train also ideal for me.
Ok must be an error our end. We think this is one of your best vidoes. We always enjoy being up on Kinder. Thank you for filming your adventure 😀
Hi again and thanks for kind comments all the best Pat
Your videos are so great done. And high peak district seems so wonderfully. Makes me longing to take the flight and hiking there.
Some amazing pictures and views.
Great video mate an oldie but a Goldie
Thanks Ian, a beautiful walk with a fantastic view round each bend...... thanks Pat
Great video, we went up yesterday and it was extremely cold. Well worth the effort
Yes certainly makes a difference when you get up there, but such a lovely place, thanks Pat
What a great place! Very enjoyable to watch, Pat.
ectomorph yeah Kinder Scout is a great area to camp or just walk, Massive plateau with fantastic views, one of my favourite places, all the best Pat
Patrick you are what UA-cam was meant for all them years ago. Brilliant channel. I remember messaging you ages ago that I'd take you down Flo Selecta in Derby. Offer still stands.
Yes remember your offer and very grateful, getting back into wild camping at moment, but can change my interest at any time, all the best Pat
Thanks for watching all the best Pat
super video once more Patrick. I've not walked around kinder scout before. Its on my list !
Hi Billy yes Kinder is a great place to walk, the edge path is easy navigation and great views as you can see. A lot of people just do a section at a time, gives you more time to admire the views, all the best Pat
Another great adventure ..thanks for sharing Pat
Hi Paul yes a great classic walk with fantastic views changing every few minutes, all the best Pat
glad you did not reject any pictures, what a walk! well done for sharing, tim
Another great video, love the photos, I'll have to take a trip up there sometime.
Hi Simon, it is a beautiful area, a view round each corner, hard climb up, but after that it easy enjoyable walk, all the best Pat
wonderful footage at 7.12 bet you were buzzing my friend what a bloody good backdrop.. ringing roger woweee!!! well done :)
Great video Patrick allways enjoy you videos keep them up thanks Dominic Norfolk.
Hi Dominic glad you enjoyed video must admit the views on this walk were fantastic, will be back up there in Autumn and Winter hope we get some snow this year, thanks for watching Pat
looked a great two dayer Patrick, I'll consider trying that in the future.
thanks for sharing, Atb Mark.
Hi Mark yes a great classic Peak District walk a view round each corner would definitely recommend, thanks for watching Pat
Awesome vid, love the still pics...
Kinder Scout, one of my favourite areas, summer or winter, just a fantastic place to be, usually on your own and the place is yours, all the best Pat
It’s a real pleasure watching your videos Pat. Keep up the good work 👍
Simon Beresford Hi Simon and thanks for comments much appreciated, Pat
Patrick Dickinson you thought about investing in a GoPro Pat??
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO I HAVE EVER WATCHED ON WILDCAMPING AND WALKING IN THE UK THANK YOU GREAT PRACTICAL DEMO WHAT IT ALL ABOUT THANKS AGAIN
Hi Bryan and thanks for kind comments makes all the filming and editing worthwhile, i was lucky with the weather and got some great photos, thanks again Pat
Stunning Patrick. Thank you!
Martin
Hi Martin yes i ,ve got to agree the views were fantastic spent more time taking photos than walking but was worth it as the weather up there is not always so kind, thanks for watching Pat
Great video and pictures! Thank you for sharing Patrick.
Glad you enjoyed the video I really enjoyed making it fantastic views and a great area to camp all the best Pat
What can I say........another great video Pat. Great views. Really enjoying your videos, going to burn out my laptop at this rate.
BADOLDBIKER Amazing view round each corner, what a fantastic place it is up on Kinder Scout, all the best Pat
One of your best this! Fab stuff!❤
Wow, thank you Nick, it is a great walk with fantastic views round each bend ……thanks Pat
Nice video Patrick, I liked the fact that you flashed the names of all the views and rock formations.
Hi there thought the info would be usefu,l a lot of the views etc I new but some I had to research and also interesting in discovering why certain rocks had such unusual names, thanks for watching and commenting Pat
Your spot on Patrick If you have the time before a walk it always makes it more interesting.
Looks awesome. Havent been to the peak district for ages. Must rectifiy that soon.

Dead Fall Outdoors Hi Carl yes beautifully up on Kinder at this time of the year, or anytime of the year, some of those views are amazing, glad you enjoyed it, all the best Pat
Love watching your video, going up Kinder scout one day to camp
Best place on the world Jason, thanks Pat

Great video, have been wanting to do the same route and it's made it much more clearer. Thank you
Hi Umar really nice walk if you get some clear weather to take in the views, navigation pretty easy once your on the edge path if weather is clear, not so straightforward if mist and cloud come down. Hope you have a great walk all the best Pat
Hi Patrick, thank you for another great video! You really had some nice weather for your adventure. Great pics! No food reviews though!😟
Fantastic view looking down valley, all the best Pat
will be doing that walk next year hopefully thanks for all the info ATB Kev
Hi Kev yes its a straight forward walk round the edge path and once you have got the initial climb out the way its pretty easy going, and the views are fantastic, all the best Pat
I really enjoyed this video. Informative and to the point always best ion the edges, the bogs can be a little difficult.
Hi Peter yes round the edge is a great walk with changing views, crossing the bogs can be fun and great compass practice, thanks for watching Pat
Peter Dzelmani
Throughly enjoyed this one Pat, the views and the out crops are amazing, walks like these really call to you as this has now to me, thanks to you... Having now broken my wild camping virginity, I can understand why so many people love it as I now am hooked... What did that water taste like? Looked peaty...
Amazing g scenary up on Kinder, the water was ok but the colour is not so inviting, thanks Pat
Looked fantastic mate, good job on getting that out.
Kaylem The views were fantastic round every bend was a different view, amazing place up on Kinder, Pat
Beautiful photography. which camera did you use ?
Hi Dikhara, on this video I would of used my Sony A37 DSLR, very heavy but great footage and photographs, trying to getaway with lighter cameras now, thanks Pat
Hi Pat. Love your videos. They are inspiring me for the upcoming season. What type of water filter are you using. I couldn't quite make out the make from the video. Thanks.
Hi Tom, I would say get out no matter what, it's all waiting for you.
The water filter I used was a Sawyer Mini Filters, very lightweight and small and easy to use. All the best Pat
Really good video some cracking photographs thanks!
Hi Chris yes I was really lucky with the weather 2 clear days on the trot allowed me to get the photos i wanted, many a time I, ve been up there could not see further than 10 meters, thanks for watching Pat
'damn midges... and even worse than that there's lots of people about' xD made me laugh. Good video!
Great video,
We've been up via Jacobs ladder and down to barber booth about 7 times,
We did it in both directions, We camps a few times as well.
Going to do that, Thanks for the info
solorip Hi and glad you enjoyed the video, Jacobs ladder is steep but once up then your fine ,all the best Pat
hi patrick
great vid and as usual and one i can account with as i did myself many years ago . I did it in the opposite direction and went up crowden brook and overnighted at seal stones were i was awoken in the night by a sheep sheltering behind my tent .
I Agree with a above comment about the photos none should have been rejected and ill admit youve done them all a credit by naming them and for once you can actually see were from there name comes from .
keep up the good work
andy
Hi Andrew yes very similar walk, Crowden Brook is a great walk up similar to all ways up Kinder very steep at the top but once your up the rest of the walking is easy. Interesting learning the names of the rocks and the history behind them, a great area to walk and camp, thanks again Pat
Nice one sir. I miss being up there.
Me too Mark..... thanks Pat
I love this channel.
Thanks, very nice of you to say, such a fantastic place, Kinder Scout, thanks Pat
Patrick Dickinson - Thanks for taking the time to reply Pat, it really helped me out.
Loved the video. Fantastic views.
ATB Mark.
Hi Mark The weather sort of made it a lot of time on Kinder you are lucky to see 10 meters due to mist and rain. A view round each corner, I spent more time photographing than walking so many great views, all the best Pat
Thanks for taking us with you
Your very welcome Andrew, thanks Pat
Love your videos.
Glad you like them!... really nice of you to say.... thanks Pat
Really enjoyable video Patrick. Lots of interesting info and great pics. Sub'd.
Hi again Alan, a view round every corner and thats what its like looking forward to a bit of snow now should make things interesting Thanks again Pat
These views took my breathe away almost as much as you did
Hi Luca, yes just beautiful up there, a awesome view round each corner..... thanks Pat
Not too many pictures at all! Great video, enjoyed it all!
Hi and thanks for comments, difficult not to take photos when so many great views, spent more time photographing than walking, all the best Pat
Great video only just subscribed but down to earth walks and talks look forward to the next one
I was up there not so long ago Pat and your correct its a fantastic place and I can't wait to go back next year.

@@patrickdickinson6492 thanks Pat I’ll check that out.
Possible wild camp is the top Dovestones in Greenfield there is a walk called the pennine experience 8 miles really nice water fall to climb up but I always do it the opposite way round to make it more interesting.
Thanks for that Lee, been to Greenfield mind you that was on Railtrack for a few beers, sound a nice walk, thanks Pat
Thanks for that Lee, been to Greenfield mind you that was on Railtrack for a few beers, sound a nice walk, thanks Pat
Great walk with lovely weather.
Hi there yep very lucky with the weather, although any time up on kinder scout is a great time. This is our highest area in the Peak district, jealous of all the great mountains and choice of areas you have in Scotland. all the best Pat
Too many pictures? Not for me. I kept having to stop the video to look at them. That's mighty beautiful country.
It's a beautiful area, difficult how to show it in all its beauty, thanks Pat
I dream of doing this walk, but don’t want to bother mountain rescue, would probably end up in Norwich, nice one pat , as ever.
Thanks Patrick, thats very kind of you. I will check out the Kiwi Pro stretch. mant thanks, David.
