    Amazing how you've restored -- and then kept running -- this piece of history. I love the sound of the engine start - must have felt good to be there and watch/listen!

    Helping restore Rose's raiders PV-2D was the greatest time of my life!!!! It's an amazing aircraft and the guppie is a lot faster than people would think.

      Yes it is. We had an engine failure after leaving Truckee Tahoe air show a few months ago. We just hung the replacement engine and this is the video of the first start. If you want to see a web forum thread about the whole project from start to today here is a link:
