I just discovered this today and it look ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! I've been a passionate fan of the B-17 since discovering its existence when I was a kid buying a Revell model kit at the local toy store. Building that model and seeing the inner workings of the craft sparked my imagination. It is my favorite airplane of all time. I have had the good fortune to see a couple of B-17s at local air shows (including Aluminum Overcast) but never once have I ever heard of the existence of Bomber Camp until now. I am absolutely blown away to know there's a dedicated organization out there who have done the impossible and managed to keep all that vintage WWII equipment functional. I'm drooling. It has always been a lifelong dream of mine to fly in that iconic airplane but now that I know it can be done as a full-fledged mission I'm going to need to start saving!!!
This looks incredible. After touring a number of Bombers at Oshkosh Air Venture, I always wanted to fly in one. But to learn and fly one, that just takes the cake!
Amazingly, was fortunate to do this in 2017. Ken and the team made a boy hood dream come true. It was the saddest news to hear of Nine-0-Nine crashing few years back. RIP to all on board.x
My father flathatted Stockton Field, against regulations, of course. A naval aviator stationed at Alameda NAS. His fighter squadron, VC 20 (air composite) flying F4F Wildcats--the first line of defense against a Japanese invasion. However, this day was time away from duty. His sister Catherine was secretary to the general and noted he was not too pleased. The victory roll added insult to injury and, besides, NAVY! Dad proceeded to give Stockton a flight demonstration to the bewilderment of the locals and his mother who lived on Sutter Street. Nevertheless, Ensign Kelly was stood down by his commanding officer, and, if I'm not mistaken, given a "Well done" at the end. Addendum: Does anybody remember those two brick towers near Tracy? Dad flew BETWEEN them!

This and the WW2 Airborne Demonstration Team are definitely on my "bucket list."
