at 6:04 you are showing that positions are all set at zero for Null and light, but when I set the light at all zeros it is at the top left (pixel counter starts there) is this because there might be a setting that I have is off somewhere?

in this mode lights are used as particle emitters and Only light whose names start 'Emitter' are used

Kincl creation you have to keyframe your particles emitted per second to 0 at some point. then you can control how long they are still visible with the life

excellent videos, new subscriber here. One question.... despite changing the opacity on the shapes inside the "Particle_Shape" layer the emitter does not produce particles with varying opacities... I am probably doing something wrong but can you go into that a little?
maybe i am emitting too many particles a sec...

With this tutorial we have buy 2 plugin: trapcode particular and Video copilot, hahaha, I buy trapcode particular, but waste my time learn your tutorial, i have to buy 1 more plugin....
