I ALWAYS carry a small towel to wipe down the business end of the line when fishing or filming. Those are the shots of 6 lb fluorocarbon where the line is truly invisible. It's amazing at how surface scum and oils build up on line after a few casts. In ultra clear water it really makes a difference to clean that last 3 feet, and do it habitually, even though it's a pain in the rear!

Awesome information, I never considered how things we touch may show up on Fluorocarbon or how it would appear on a sunny vs a cloudy day.

For Steelhead and Trout I always carry 4 and 6 pound fluorocarbon, preferably in green. Covers nearly all situations.

    Although I’ve Caught Kropy On
65LB. Multi Colored Braid, Which Proved Kropy To Not Be Line Shy, I Still Learned Some VERY Much Important Lessons From Your Vid, And Will Archive It For Reminders❤️👍🏾❗️
    Thanks❤️👍🏾❗️

What tinted fluorocarbon lines do you recommend?

Pline (100%) Fluorocarbon - 'Halo' in 'Mist Green'. Easily ordered on line. Tested every product out there and this is my favourite. And it's US made (in California) to boot! In those underwater shots where you don't see anything but the bait - it's that in 6 lb. test (break strength is closer to 10!). I need every edge I can get when filming. You do need a good knot like an improved clinch, or it will untie during a fight - 'slippery line'. Worth it though! Thanks for watching and commenting! Rick

@@thefish-eyeview7733 Perfect. Thanks also for the recommendation of the improved clinch knot. You guys are really helping us to be better.
