Keep in mind, this was back in the 90's and not to make excuses for Billy cause he's only 66, but ...... he's got many years of hard drug use behind him and a horrible accident. Yes, both of which are no fault but his own. But remember, these people are human just like us, with issues and back stories just like us, some of being not the greatest but he's here. Not gone, like many other people in the Rock and Roll profession. I'd rather have him here and giving us the best he can at this time period in his life than 6feet under and no longer walking this earth. But that's just me and the kind of human being I choose to be, greatful that he's still alive and kickin'. Too many in his profession have left us far too early in their career, he's got an Angel following him and I'm sure that Angel is glad they are getting a bit of a break these past couple of decades.
thanks, mom!
God damn true!!!!
TAMMY ☕BILYIDOL
Yah but guess what, he's still as good today, if not better from the right point of view..In the music business, my job is to keep this music going, and it's not always their recorded music..The imperfect side was far more entertaining. Johnny Cash gave us a glimpse of how popular someone can be,, singing highly imperfectly.
Exactly..well said
One of the hardest working rockers in the business. His live shows are amazing. He's going to be 67 on Nov. 30th and still is awesome!
This collection is so touching 😢
I don't want much , I just want the person reading this to be healthy, happy and loved! 😊
I'm 47 I have always loved this dude SENCE I've heard his music 🎶 when I was around 12 ? Idk but still love him and my 15 yr old has been listening to rock music since he could walk!! He loves Billy Idol....we still listen to nothing but metal & rock music in our house...
Met Idol in Toronto Can. Extremely cool cat. No big head from being a “rockstar”. Spent about 1/12 hr. talking with a few fans backstage. Seeing him live in concert was quite impressive he has an awesome voice live and his band rocked the place. Glad to see people are taking notice of him again...🎶🇨🇦
Billy has party harder than most musicians out there and he looks better now than most of them ever have
True, but I HATE that he sells just 4 Songs for a horrible price. HE IS A FUCKING PUNK, he should remember where he comes from ..
Dude is jacked.
Billy ozzy duff slash....just 4 simple names who look really good and healthy these days.
He sounds absolutely amazing live. Fantastic Vocals!!!
The Real, The True... One and Only... British, American Idol. Billy Idol. I would of loved to have bn at this Show. Wow.... Just Explosive 💥 🧨.💥 🎶💪👍🏻🤜🤛👏👋👏👋🥴😎🏍️
what a great artsist
and whan an energy
not only you need to be amazingly talented but you need to have the right physical health to go with wit it too
Very rare
My 80s dad brought me up the right way brought me up with billy idol, madness, ub40, the cure, soft cell and sex pistols. My dad was born in March 1967 and was a teen in the 80s. He bleached his hair like Billy Idol I’ve seen his 80s photos. I was born May 1996 I’m annoyed and jealous that I weren’t alive in the 80s. Such an electric and adrenaline rush era. At least I’ve got these songs to remember my dad by when he passes away in the future.
Haha you're a young tike eh?
Good lookin out there, I'm an 80s dad to and I named my son Cliff Burton from"Metallica". Now 27,he goes with me when I play bass at the gigs in my bar band.We play"White Wedding","Eyes without a face",and"Rebel yell", a bunch of songs from that decade.Inded the 80s was a great time to be alive.Alot less technology,a lot more imagination!
One of the greatest performers ever, brilliant artist.💥
The guitar sound is badass
That’s what Billy needed !! Great player Mark and sounded amazing i was there !!!
I was at this show wish they had kept all the the bits in between the songs. Some classic Billy moments. Riding onto the stage on his Harley. Letting several thousand balloons drop on the crowd with condoms attached ,telling the audience 'have a f***in good f*** on me'. And the huge fist suspended above the stage that rotated and raised it's middle finger 🖕rude dude tattoo on it's knuckles. Still the best concert I ever went to. I was a little disappointed that Steve Stevens wasn't lead guitar but Mark Hawk Younger Smith did a superb job.
Oh my god I want to see those bits. Is there really no video of that?
I’ll never forgive y’all for not making music like this this anymore
you could make it :)
The guitar player is doing a great Job. Billy looks awesome and I am glad he is still jamming here in 2024 as well. Congratulations!!
and he can really sing live. Im so tired of all the "big stars" that have to sing playback. Billy can sing - live. wow.
I Strongly suggest you listen to a recent Generation Sex gig.... It's probably the worst flat pitched and weak vocals I've ever heard.. In this day and age Billy needs autotune like a Fish needs water..,
REAL Music by REAL musicians as Prince said. These fake, autotunes on everything “singers” of today can not TOUCH these legends! All they have are electronically manufactured voices with no discernible talent in sight. It’s a disgrace to ALL music. It’s safe to say, this is the worst era in music history. Never have we had such terrible music that the masses SOMEHOW think is all that. I’m perplexed by it. How you go from Billy Idol to Justin Bieber I will NEVER know. You would think people would know better but I guess not. It’s a crying shame!
g man tramp He’s gotten older and his voice has changed like EVERYONE’S does at one point or another. But you can not deny his talent from his body of work, do NOT come here and try to demean his talent.
@@PurpleRain500 Not demeaning his talent.. I've seen GenX back in the day have you?? Just rightfully commenting on Gen Sex . Dreadful. Even Steve Jones was too slow on the guitar.
Yeah,I was surprised at how good he sounds live..
HE IS A greate Rock Singer he realy is with the people Connected.
I Love THAT Beatyfu Sexi MAN.
He is So Connected with us.
I Love Him💜😘
I hope he does more shows in the future because I’m gonna kick myself for not being able to see him in concert. I’m gonna look out for his future tours.
He"s one of the few great live singer......His voice sounds like the Studio Albums, not too many Rock singers as good, even today.
So very true
Considering all the ways he abused his body it's amazing his voice has held up so well. And to think in the 80's Boy George said he was a great entertainer but a lousy singer. And now Boy George doesn't have a voice.
@Aaron Pennick I agree. Boy George was creative with fashion but had little to offer musically. Billy on the other hand also had a good sense of style and a signature look, while being a great singer, performer, and songwriter on top of it.
There isnt any good today 😂😂 their all miming to. He track
He is out of tune here...
The drummer killed it on this ..very good
you bet!!
Billy Idol is F'ckin superb.
The soundtrack of an entire like minded young generation.
Speachless !!
Excellent singer and performer
He's 35 here, he looked his best age 30 to 40, his singing & song writing improved over the years but his attitude will never compare to those generation X days..I loved him then, now and every year in between.. i just love this man!! :))
Yeah bloody loved 'Kings and Queens of the Underground' but I have to be honest and say I haven't kept up much. (Btw know this is an ancient comment and you'll be like "what's this guy blethering about??|" Which I have to admit is kinda fun, don't you think? When you find yourself going "ohhhh yeah"! I like it anyway)! Sorry bit delirious, I have man flu, I thought I was being attacked in bed by a giant frog in the morning yesterday and my gf pointed out... it was my foot in silly coloured socks!
But yeah, I'd been avoiding music, cos bit autistic and therefore obsessive, got very addicted to things
and used to work in music where you can have what you want and still get by. So I moved away from the city entirely, got sober and was bit wary of getting too rock n roll and it dragging me back to things -I know, sinful... but I realised I could enjoy all aspects now. And I was blown away by 'Kings and Queens...' If can be bothered with old comment, what did you think of it? The last one I'd heard previously had 'Scream' on there... and then my memory withers like an old man's........... bollocks, can't think of anything!
Billy fuckin Idol
forever😎💋💖💦
I like the way you run your show.
You make one of the best shows that I have ever seen in my entire life
I love him too. I think he looked great in his 20s - 40s. The drug addiction has taken its toll stripping away his otherworldly gorgeous looks although he’s still a handsome man. Wish he had not had addiction problems which I am sure cost him a lot of personal loss/anguish. Glad to see he seems happy & is doing well these days. He always put on a great show. I think he really cares. He still sounds great and is still doing music. Just love his music!
Sweet Sixteen.❤️
One of the most hard core rockers ever, with a bunch of songs that never get old
Hard core outside
He is a True Rock icon. 40 years solo carrer, 2 bands before. I guess bmo Billy and Bruce Dickinson are 2 best vocals ever. Actor, songwriter, multi instruments player. If did not had this motocycle crash back in the days, he was the 1st choice for the liquid terminator T3000, by James Cameroon on the Judgement day. He is True full Blood Rocker of the World class. True IDOL 4ever. ✊✊✊
@@cukebarak8516 👏👏👏
Billy has the most gorgeous torso I've ever seen. May he rock forever.
Never had issues w/ his abs, even now.
So true 👍
This was at Wembley Arena - I was there! It was my first rock concert and it was amazing. Seen Billy a couple of times and he's brilliant live!
Yep - Wembley Arena and I was there too - great show.
Oh man, I'm so envious of you two.
I saw him open for ZZ Top. It was after the motorcycle wreck. He was limping around on crutches -- and then he threw the crutches down and really rocked. I was tripping on some kind of psychedelic XTC. It was an amazing show.
@@gerrylavelle8433 he threw crutches into the crowd when I saw him at this concert as well. The second time I saw him was when he opened for Bon Jovi at MK Bowl in 1993.
@@lynneparry7371 I always loved 'Eyes Without a Face." I grew up in the Los Angeles area. Later on, I moved to Boulder, Colorado. When I visited LA and it was time to leave I always took a bus to Las Vegas because it was easier to hitch-hike to Boulder from there. And I would be reading Raymond Chandler murder books on the bus.
This man is a legend!
Wonderful music and will never go out of style.
Eyes without a face is such a classic , great show !!
I was lucky to see him in 1988, in my country Norway. It was BIG to have him here that time, and for sure one of the best concerts i ever been to, miss that time and love to see the old concerts on youtube now when i`m getting older. He is a true legend :-)
I saw him in Skedsmohallen in 1989…….. Charmed Life tour. Great show !!
Billy Idol Hall of Fame!!!!!!!!!!"
bro he literally performs exactly as studio versions
Backtracking?
@@ollihp ummm..no
He has the swagger of his hero Elvis.
A great performer and singer.
I'm glad to see that someone other than myself sees this as well. I've always compared his _swagger_ to that of the *King* --- its the _upper lip_ thing. 🙋
My mom and Billy used to "date" back in his early days when he would be flying back and forth between London + NYC. They had met down in NYC's "Village" and even after his rise to "stardom" , they remained good friends and even came to our house to see her when I was born. She kept every "memento" he had ever given her, including both personally autographed albums ( _vinyl_ ). I remember him coming over to our house when I was 4 yrs old and my mom introducing him to me as _"this is your uncle Billy baby, say hello..."_ ; a year earlier, he had also become a "father" himself.😊
Whenever he came to NY, he would call her and they would get together throughout the years, before her passing.
Last time I saw him in "person" was on March 15, 2017 at the House of Blues Las Vegas, where I went to see him backstage --- he couldnt believe how "time had flown", and he hugged me as we sat down and he reminisced about himself + my mom and all the "trouble" they had caused in certain clubs of NYC back in the day. He literally imitated Forrest Gump in telling me that he and my mom _"we were like two peas in a pod"_ 😁
When I left he hugged me tightly, and I still called him "Uncle Billy"!
He was so generous --- he not only made sure I got flowers and champagne delivered every single day to my room for the 5 days I was in Vegas --- but when I was leaving and went to the reception desk to drop off the key ( card ) to my suite, I was told that all charges on my credit card had been "returned" --- and that he had actually paid for my stay there. Thats the type of man he is ---- he never forgot "who" his "friends" were, back when he was just starting out as an artist in the U.S.
I'm pretty sure my mom was smiling down on him from "up there somewhere" . ✌
@@LeenaStark that is so very cool. Thank You for sharing that.
@@vandalorianvandalorian4769 Thank YOU, for allowing me to "share" it with you. Youre the first person Ive ever told this to believe it or not.
Wishing you well across the miles + keep ROCKIN!!! ✌🙋
@@LeenaStark I’m honored. ThanK YOU. I’m a mostly retired Rock singer/musician, and I’ve covered several Billy Idol songs over the years. I’ve always been a fan of his. He’s just so good.
@@vandalorianvandalorian4769 Oh WOW! Do you have any videos of you performing those covers? If you do, I would very much like to see them! 🙋😊
And yea, uncle Billy's a *Rock Legend* in his own right. I play his albums all the time, and Ive "framed" the very first 2 vinyl albums he had personally signed / dedicated to my mom from way back then; they hang in my living room. ✌
I've seen him in Germany on the Charmed Life tour...love that guy!!! What an energy!!!
When my x was pregnant for my daughter in 1985 when we would play Rebel Yell she would start kicking.
Billy idol will never stop being a true punk rocker he never sold out
True to form to this day !!!
He's making a dance-punk, cmon.
@KEW MORE no one sings authentic original punk anymore haha and it's a good thing he went to U.S as if he hadn't we wouldn't have this
Billy you are number one
Mark Younger Smith plays that guitar so good, great sound and feeling. The band also plays very nice. A Masterpiece and good that someone taped this on video. Billy Idol is a legend and these Dancers are smoking hot :)
I actually prefer him over Steve Stevens
Underrated.
Still rocking strong despite his furious attempts to autodestruct.
Keep rocking.
☮️
I will always love this man!
Billy is awesome outstanding badass
🤘🤘🤘
I see you live 6 times in concerts from the 90' to the 2010'
Tousands thanks for your power & energy in all this concerts!!!
God bless you Billy 🤘❤🤘
Billy is still great in concerts. A true legend
Yup right there with you, seen him 6 or 7 times I stopped counting! He puts on a good show! Too Bad Steve wasn't at this Wembley show. Not the same without the real gun!
Billy needed Steve Stevens and Steve Stevens needed Billy.
Je suis FAN de Billy Adol depuis mes 14 ans... J'en ai actuellement 52 et lui 10 de plus que moi... Je l'adore TOUJOURS...
Billy Idol is rock and roll...Billy is the most gorgeous creation of greatness on the planet. I miss you and love you.
Well he's not dead and still releasing music. 😁
Really really enjoyed this performance. Billy is fantastic live.

The King of Punk Rock Billy Idol is the best

Wow wow wow...great band, sexy girls, and fantastic Billy..... love the Guitar Player, absolutely killer!!
His voice is unic unforgetable!
Someone transport me please back to this concert!
I’d be jumping about and bobbing my head up and down. Dance like it’s the 80s-90s.
Legend forever!
Billy Soundtrack of my life!
The original Bad Ass!!
Billy Idol we love you♥️♥️♥️
Billy Idol is the Rock and Roll version of Elvis. . . When Billy Smiles. . .It will give you Whiplash
Cyberpunk Elvis ;)
@@aleksandarpejcic2077 Rock n roll Elvis!? Lol I thought Elvis was the inventor of rock n roll? I get what you mean that,Billy's more of the hard core rock star.
Applaud the Rock Star trust me Elvis did not invent rock n roll. At least not what it was in the 80s.
"The RnR version of Elvis"?????? Fk me, I can hardly believe I read that!!! Elvis was RnR before Billy was born or heard of!
THere s a bit of Jim Morrison in him too.
Awesome singer great stage presence
Billy Idol and guitarist Mark Younger-Smith performing on stage at the Wembley Arena in London on the 20th December, 1990.
billy is so underrated
My favorite rock star. I saw him in 1988 at Alpine Valley WI. This performance at Wembley is one for the ages!
Got this concert in Dec. 1990 at Maimarkthalle/ Mannheim.....what a time
i thourghly enjoyed that. sheri Sept 1969,so.....nice.and I actually needed this
I love his music today as much as I did in the 1980s. Love Billy. And this is a great live set.
I'm a HUGE Billy fan but there's no Billy Idol without Steve Stevens!
Isn't it amazing how we can tell the difference with and without Steve Stevens? No wonder Steve has been playing with Billy for forty years.
@@golfhound Yeah I just relistened to "Catch my fall" and was always thinking that the song felt incomplete. And yes, Steve's guitar is missing.
Nope.
There's no Stevens (on this level) w/o Idol. Doing just fine here & thru the 90's.
Who's playing the guitar in this gig?
I know!!! I love Steve, it really dissapointed me when I didn't saw him on the scenario. 😢
37:54 - 38:05 HOLY 🤩🔥 Billy is incredible, a true rock and roll legend ✊🏼 this concert is amazing!
I've listened to this front and back multiple times!
@@imgreekgeek same! his vocals are so powerful, idk how he does it 🤩
everything so beautifully in-synch ...especially the beautiful women!
Whiplash Smile!
I miss me ol' classmate, so sad he's gone now, a dear, dear friend who loved Billy Idol.
Billy Idol was a big part of my late 80s life!!
Sweet 16 to a moaning Mona
From a White Wedding to Rebel Yell
He is alive and well
@@KVeneris no, not Idol but my dear friend who used to really like him
Punk rock to the core,he didn't let a motorcycle accident slow him down.A truly talented musician and songwriter, with incredible voice control you can tell he earned it with all those punk rock shows with Gen X.
He looked slowed down here
@@RichV20 probably because he was still recovering from getting mangled in his bike accident. Hence the cane at the beginning.
Pourquoi prend t-on tant de plaisir à vivre ces concerts ?.. Parce que nous sommes tous connectés !!! Quels plaisirs intenses.!!!Merci Billy 💕💕💕🌈😍
I am a fan of Billy s since I am 25 years old. His songs never bored me. And his persona is fascinating as much as his extraordinary looks. Keep it up Billy you are a SUN.
Billy Idol, the great.
Billy and Steve were a match made in heaven.....too bad he wasn't there
What does this mean
@@DanielBrown-fy7ll Steve Stevens played guitar and toured on most of Idol's early albums, but they had split up before this tour. They are currently recording and touring together again.

True, Billy is just great👍👏. Lots of love from Germany 😁😎
Holy shit what a gig. I need a bluray and CD combo of this like now.
It fatal charm tour, sadly no steve stevens on guitar
@@wiccagoddess6022 are you sure it's not the Charmed Life tour?
To me, Billy Idol is truly "An Angel with a Mask" He is a gem of a being. There can never ever be another Billy Idol. I wonder with all his so presumed licentious lifestyle, why hasn't there been a single controversy surrounding him and the numerous women that he presumably could have slept with? That proves the true character of the man!
Billy Idol rules, I saw the consert in Stockholm the same year . great and I hade the fortune to see Billy live i Varberg 2017 and again in Stockholm 2019 still so good.
The backing singers have fantastic microphones! ....I couldn't take my eyes of em.
Indeed 🥺
Да, их микрофонные стойки такие трогательные.
I absolutely love Billy, but I need Steve too!
I was at this concert...it was definitely at Wembley arena and was friggin awesome!
