Reed has been a severe weather expert for over 15 years.. he knows where to and where not to put his team so they can observe a tornado.. trust me, that’s the last guy that would get you killed or hurt on a storm chase.. that being said there are incidents which are just completely out of your control.. like the El Reno tornado in 2013 which killed the Twistex team.. that’s also the widest tornado in history at 2.7 miles..

Wow, you had an awesome view of the initial tornado from the north! You passed us at 4:33 in the silver Rav 4. We had started down south of Spalding and watched the initial rope thinking that was the main tornado. We then went up the same dirt road into Spaling and cut west of 91. Great Footage! -Andrew SPC
You are good at this. Doing this alone is like an art. Doing three huge things .... driving, working a camera, watching the storm to know where to go... besides probably a million other things as well. I have watched several storm chasers on UA-cam but you are the standard.

I really want to know if the 2 cars that passed the dominator right before it was swallowed by that thing are chasers. If they are, I really want to see their footage! If they're not chasers then what in the hell were they thinking!
I Love your videos and you kinda remind me Pecos Hank and his gorgeous video footage and incredible photography. You have obviously learned a lot from the years you've spent storm chasing with your father from an young age. Keep up your amazing work and gorgeous videos while also staying safe. Not everyone can afford to build a dominator style vehicle that can withstand closer contact with a tornado. Even Reed and his team have suffered damage to their vehicles because nothing is completely tornado proof.
2:07 this shot here is magnificent. Seeing the dark and dangerous sky with a tornado on the ground directly next to a patch of clear sky is weirdly beautiful
I can’t believe how sunny it is while you guys are like right next to a tornado (~ 6:54)! I feel like I can easily see the storm vortex & updraft structure and picture the “hook echo” as it would appear on radar. Such a good shot!!!
That actually looks pretty dang big I live in Iowa and on March 31 on 2023. We had a tornado outbreak and I literally heard tornado sirens bursting right when the warning was accomplished.
my brother had a college graduation, and the sirens went off for Kearney and Spalding tornadoes. It felt like the worst hour of my life because Kearney was only an hour away from the school.
They were chasers, but they managed to make it out as they were parked next to freddy while freddy was enjoy his moment. They are probably beginners and did the most stupidest thing to do while chasing a tornado but atleast there safe.
That is amazing footage. I don’t think I’ve seen a wedge tornado like that right at the edge of a storm with blue skies right next to it. That was some excellent footage and great chasing guys. Cheers

Awesome video! Freddy sure is brave. I'd love to see a tornado in person too, but definitely wouldn't be driving that close to in the direction of one like he was. Where I live they don't occur that often so I may travel to Oklahoma or Texas to view one in person when I have the opportunity.
