THIS VIDEO DOESN'T WANT TO PROMOTE ANY PERCUSSION BRAND
Fantastic clear directions with great visuals. ¡Mil gracias!
i bought one of these about a month ago....best purchase ive ever made i love it
Damn, that thing puts out some sound, look what it did to the wall behind him! (Actually I learned a lot here, I have the same Meinl cajoney/bongo thing with the snares removed from the larger chamber only, had estimated that I could make 20 or so different sounds with it, now I learn some new ones here and add to my trick bag, great vid and playing, more vids on this would be nice, thanks, and it's a wonderful little instrument, by the way).
Just bought one! Thanks for your great technique video!
Thanks a lot....i order mine today the same as yours 😁😁😁
Thanks for the tips. Had trouble playing the bongo cajon that I have, without proper bongo techniques, as I'm a self-taught percussionist. Most of the time, I utilise the techniques I use on the "middle eastern frame drumming" albeit horizontally, or just recently been holding the instrument vertically between my lap and playing ala cajon style. With your tips, I have at least a more flexible style of playing now.
Purchased one a while back. I also removed the snare wires from the hembra side. Installed it inside my other Meinl bongo cajon that didn't come with any wires. Both Meinl bongos sound amazing!
Having one of these for a very short while, I prefer how you put the bongos on your knees instead of between where they seem to slip too easily. Having access to the sides really does give this a different voice from traditional bongos as well.
The bongo cajon now also makes me very curious about the meinl "slap top" as well.
Well done Matteo, Amazing video...Now I want to learn to to play the Bongo Cajon. You are very inspiring artist and musician!
i bought some today and this video motivates me even more to play it:)! more videos like this, please :D

Leon the Professional "Percussionists" ...
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fuck yeah! You're killin it brother. I've been reluctant towards the thumb-finger split stroke, which is intuitive for me. But after this I'm all in...gonna watch again...
I play one now and love it ! 👍👌✌🎶🥁
Thanks for great video!
You've helped me a lot with this tutorial. Thank you.

Andres Burgos hi! Check the bongocajon by almacajon! they are beautiful! www.almacajon.it
I like your video. I hope you can do it in Spanish. I don't speak English very well, so I can't understand the lessons. I really want to learn how to play. I'm looking for videos in Spanish but I can't found someone who teach like you
Great video, really enjoyed it !
Cheers from Costa Rica
Leon the professional
Thanks from San Francisco!
nice work of art behind you
Thanks for posting.
It seems the Menei is the most popular on UA-cam then any other brands of Bongo Cajon but the online shops I've spoken say the LP is better, taking their advice I hope I've made the right choice for my new hobby
How long did it take for you to learn?
Amazing video!
Thanks for video, very nice. Keep up the good work!
How important are the sunglasses? I just got a Meinl.
Can these be played on the floor, or would that effect the sound, compared to holding it on your lap?
I also asked this question about the LP bongo cajon.
HI, if you put them on the floor they might not resonate as much as when you put them on your lap. The more you "close the air" below the instrument the less sound will come out of it. Also keep in mind this instrument doesn t have much volume even when is in the ideal position so the more is free from holders of any kind the better (this is the reason why i dont put it between my legs like the cuban bongos).
@@bongocajon Thanks for your help. I'm planning on getting one of these for either my birthday or Christmas. The reason why I asked is because I spend most of the time on the floor. (usually in a living room or family room, which are carpeted.)
Complimenti!!!
Grazie mille Giacomo! A presto
hello i have a question.
what is the bongo cajon you are playing on?
is it with or without snare?
Grande Cammisa, ottimo inglese! Dove l'hai praticato?
thank you!
Thanks
nice sound
Great video!
COOL! You sound great, but LOOK even better! ;^P I'd really like to try one of these out.
Thanks dude
sorry what uke your friend is using?
Does this instrument sound as good as it does recorded?
Please answer.
Yes! It does :) Now a new instrument by cajon & cajon will be out ... I ll let you know about it. It s goin to be much better than this! :) Follow me on Facebook , look for the bongo cajon page ... :)
Even though this sounds more like some kind of toy, (the fact that it doesn't sound too realistic) it seems like something for people like me who don't want to go through the hassle of tuning, and possibly other stuff just to play the bongos.
I want to know if there are any kids of bongos that sound realistic but don't have to be tuned, assembled, or anything like that.
I picked up a Granite Percussion bongo cajon at Long and McQuade in Vancouver last week for a very small price and with the help of Matteo, I feel happy with the sounds that I am making. Give a bongo cajon a chance. It does not take up much room and it makes wonderful sounds.
@@ConnieSquire Is it used by professional artists, or is it more for people who just want something to play with? I got one last Christmas, and, like I said, it doesn't sound very realistic, compared to actual bongos.
@@nbuehster Hi Beeman, I bought for some kids to play with. It was inexpensive and good enough for kids. I would ask at the percussion department of your local music store, say Long McQuade if you are in Canada, for more info. I am a total amateur.
Como faço para comprar um Cajon desses?
Thanks bro
Grazie! Per un peridodo ho studiaro percussioni in america (Truman State University Missouri)
So I JUST got the meinl bongo cajon (rubber wood, not ebony), and can say I'm slightly disappointed with the sound. I'm still figuring out the tones, but this drum definitely wants a mic. It's hard to achieve consistent tone, but probably need to put in some work.
+Matt Dorst HI Matt! You shuould check my new signature model by almacajon, go see www.almacajon.it/bongo-cajon-2/
