We got our first set of bongos and your videos are teaching us a lot... thank you!!
My pleasure
Sometimes I need a simple pattern to fall into as I try to figure out what the band director is trying to signal. Having rhythms like these "in my pocket" is super handy. Thanks!!
Glad to hear. Simple is good
Helps a lot in this time of "stay at home"! Thank you!
Love your musical perspective and teaching style Bro!
Thank you
"Bol-kay! Alright lets...that was weird...hope that doesn't become a meme..." Lol
You are great at teaching and have a good sense of humor too lol 😜
THANKS! Glad you enjoy the channel
you perfectly illustrate the difference between teaching (which you do) and showing which many think is teaching
Thank You Sir! You are a gift to humanity! Very detailed, patient and knowleadgeable. Will be subscribing to your patreon soon!
Thank you
Kalani, here is the crazy freestyle bongo drummer here oh yeah will have fun adding my styles to these patterns!!!
Too hot for the bongos! :D
Great lesson, Kalani. Thanks, Alex
We agree,we bought Bongos years ago and was ready to toss it out.
The issue was with no training we did not know placement.
Our fingers got sore hitting the rim. So every one lost
interest . Now we are energized. So, thanks Kalani.
Also sharing this with readers:
My sibling has a bruise lip from the Trumpet.
My best friend has hearing loss from his gigs.
Now to produce music entertainment without the side effects?
I would love to hear you suggest is different bongo patterns to different song beats. 4/4 3/4 6/8.
What I would *really* like to hear is snippets of actual songs (if you don’t get into copyright problems).
Relly love this percussion youtube chanell! Thanks for all the lessons!

PS, I have had excellent success using old X-RAY NEGATIVES for bongo heads! BTW the black scrapes right off once you tighten the head and play it for a few days, so look like a normal clear head.
My Wife got me Bongos for my Birthday
I found the backing track too busy, so it confused the bongo sound.
Listening this video with english subtitles is very funny.😂😂😂
MORE BONGOS!!!!
What kind of bongos are you playing? What size?
Too hot for the bongos!

"DID IT!"
Hi I like your bongos tone ,, can u tell me the name of your bongos and from where can I buy it like same your bongos Thanks
Loved this & more !! Wackie stuff but real !! Let's hope OK becomes a meme !
My small bongo doesn't really have a pitch to it, it just sounds like the hide I'm hitting. Any advice? Great video as well thank you :)
I recommend perhaps getting yourself a tuning key or a tool of some king that fits the little bolts that tighten the skin to your drum.
Loosen for more boom, tighten for more pop,
Just be sure to turn each tuning peg an equal amount, and dont turn too much or you’ll have a loose skin thats out of tune.
Bare in mind, you may just have a pair of trebley bongos, which aren’t bad, but perhaps not that deep sound you were after.
A shallow, high pitched bongo can only tune down so low.
Remember that.
Hello My teacher🙋♀️ Can you please add a Turkish translation? You guys are great. Thank you very much.💙
Rythym needs no translation my friend 👀

where can I buy bongo head for the macho drum 6.5 inch
The backing track sounds a lot like a Brazilian maracatú song called Princess a dona Inês witch is also a key beat in candomblé religion over in Brazil
What is that drum app called:
Could you recommend a good app that is like a metronome so I can follow to as I learn to play my bongos? Thanks in advance.
Loop to learn. gotcha.
Drum Jam is fun. Loop2Learn also good.
Where to get these backing tracks
yes please
Hello. I've recently gotten a pair of LP performer Series bongos and I'm struggling with the sound of them. When I tune them up they tend to have a lot of really bad overtones that sometimes change in pitch a half step when I play the same stroke with another hand. I checked if the tuning was even and if the hardware was decent and both seem to be right. So I've started to think that maybe my technique was off. When I play, I hit the drum with the last third of my ring, middle, and pointer fingers and let the tips bounce off. should I instead let parts of my fingers stay on the drum to mute the overtones? or is my playing good and it's the drum skin that may need replacement? Thanks.
I bought a bongo set LP Aspire 601, size "6 3/4-8". I can't get the distinctive crisp and high pitch that i hear on most videos about bongos. The highest note i can get safely on the macho is less than 330 Hz, which is E3 on piano. I guess the macho diameter head is too small and i should have bought a bigger model.
Hi can you tell me what bongo rhythm is played on the song tears in Heavan ? Thank you.
But can you play the dk bongos
❤❤❤❤
Needs more cowbell ! 😎
ive watched 3 of these videos now. can you do something other than an open sound? if you want a demonstration of a bongo player CWW Phoenix Percussion has a few videos
TOO HOT FOR THE BONGOS!?!?

어려워요..
My parent is makes me play the bongos
If u don't want to don't it's not for you then
P
Its easy to learn without the music being played..
Lol
I like your content but I really don't think you do a good job at explaining the rhythm. Can you perhaps break down the rhythm more and go step by step? A Percussion Life has a great teaching method for example
Buena lección! Cabeza de pinga
Usually your video are interesting and well done but this one really doesn't share the traditional grooves that define the Bongo role in the music history. It's a pity seeing a lot of fake knowledge online nowadays. Thank you.
speak in hindi
speak in Hindi because the national language is hindi
clearly it's for an english audience
an internation audience
Sir hindi maybe hai
Bullshit rhythms. Real afro Cuban stuff never sounds like this. And that is where the bongo comes from
Got a video with the actual rhythms then?
Que merda é essa ?
