I've been working with HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, and backend like Express for the past couple of years. I've just started building with Python as well. I'm assuming a MERN stack would be able to properly implement a Shopify App and Theme? Would the technologies I mentioned above be enough to build this business? Or do I need to go learn Ruby on Rails really quick?
You don't need Ruby. Shopify has a easy to use api and many code examples exist in nodejs. React is the front end tool of choice if you want to build embedded apps using polaris.

I have built 6 shopify ecom stores for myself, some did ok. Im familiar with fb ads as well. But now im taking the developer route starting from html, css, and just getting started with js. Im wanting to get into biz development and im most familiar with shopify. Should i focus only on shopify development using other themes or design and code them from scratch, and or also study wordpress? Should i dive right in and sell or study more programming languages? I just started to learn to code too as well. Currently on CSS. You can definitely make more $$$ with apps then dropshipping, that's why I want to get into it.

I am really new as a developer. This is my very first time as a developer looking into an e-commerce platform. I've been studying now for 7 months mostly JavaScript and almost a month of PHP. Question why Ruby on Rails versus other programming language for Shopify? Lastly, I am completely lost in how to begin I never freelanced I don't know the first thing about contracts or selling products. But I am eager to learn and figure this out. What was your approach? Also, Upwork has a bad reputation where developers criticize the site stating you can't make money on Upwork. Maybe I am overlooking the approach in how to find clients? Any advice would be welcomed for someone who is completely new in this type of environment.
Shopify is mostly liquid btw, not Ruby. For how to start; upwork is the way. Maybe look at newer tech right now, not shopify if you're brand new. Upwork works well if you make it work, for cheap freelancers who struggle it's a place to be a cheap freelancer and struggle, Dont listen to cheap freelancers who struggle :)

Great video. I work on CRO for 2 clients currently, at a rate of 50/hr, but don't know how I can increase that to >100/hr going forward. Any tips? It seems I am way undercharging clients

I’ve built several IOS apps and I’ve dabbled in JavaScript . I noticed you said to use ruby to build apps . Can I get away with using JavaScript ? Or is this a bad idea ? My goal is to build and launch my own apps.
Definitely stick with JS, you can make PWA's in a single click. Almost all languages will suffice, if you already know JS you don't need to start again learning something as ancient as ruby (it is old but it's still useful) or carry on making ios apps with fluttr or similar 🤷🏿♂️

I believe in you ! Also check out Nuxt.JS for your next or first web app. It's honestly one of the best frameworks to start with but has all the bells and whistles you'd get with react in Next.JS 🙏🏿 the community is also fantastic
@@ricardocalcina2398 thanks , but I may avoid next JS and just create simple apps with react for shopify . Next js confuses me lol . Have you built any shopify apps ? How long does it take you to build a ship a commercial app worthy of charging ?
@@RatherBeCancelledThanHandled yeah fully avoid NEXT JS, but NUXT JS is a vue based framework and is seriously awesome. I've only used the storefront api for testing while I work on my own products but I'm keen to try liquid and polaris to see how much quicker that can make design. Unfortunately I've mainly made portfolio and blog type sites. I'm currently sharpening my e-commerce sword before I could confidently say it's something I'll offer but soon as I'm cutting I'll be sure to let you know if you still help, guidance, or a store website made fully 🙌🏿🙏🏿
