Hi Justin. I am in the same boat as you. Still studying at university, but want to start as a data analyst and build myself up. Keep up the hard work. I'm sure we will be great data scientists one day.
Hey Justin, I am from INDIA i am pursuing the Data Analyst role i have learned SQL, PYTHON. if possible can you connect with me to guide me on this career path. Hope you will answer this.
wishing you all the best i have a bacholer degree in clinical pharmacy and im currently trying to shift career to data science does this require me to take a master in cs or engineering ?or can i self study ?
data scientist transitioning to data engineering over here, also based in nyc. glad that the algorithm has pointed me to your video and looking forward to following along with your journey.
I’m currently in retail sales, but I want to move to something better in the future. I was just recently admitted to a local community college. I will be focusing my effort on building a career as a data scientist. At the same point, I also want to see if I can crack in to become a data analyst while going on my journey. I don't know where I'll end up, and I need a place to start. Hearing from where you are from gives me motivation to study. Thank you for the video!
Hi mate I already got what you heading to study in the future like Mathematic and DSA and I’m currently study Computer Science at UOW I really want to get head into data analytic as a landing jobs, do you have linkedin or any social media ? I think I need advice from u mate I got basic and advance SQL and also basic knowledge about AWS too, please reply man :((((((
I've been working as a Data Analyst for the past two years, and I am presently pursuing my Master's degree in Computer Science, specializing in Machine Learning. This program is preparing me for a gradual transition into a Data Science role. You might want to consider the Master's program at Georgia Tech, the very one I'm enrolled in at the moment. I like it because of its mathematical rigor and its well-structured learning pathway. An added advantage of possessing a Master's degree is the weight it carries in the professional world. It serves as a solid credential, helping convince potential employers of your readiness for the role at hand. What I especially appreciate about this program is its flexibility. It's a fully online course, enabling you to decide the number of classes you want to take each semester, according to your convenience and capacity. There are many paths to acheiving the same goal and I wish you all the best
Just try it privately. Have your own project that you would like to work on. For 2 weeks I've been working on a data science project where I'm analyzing markets in a video game (Hypixel Skyblock xD ifykyk) and have figured out where my strengths lie and what I want to do more of. For example, I first had to fetch data from the API and store it in a database (so this is more of a data engineering type thing), I hated that part by the way. After that I had to clean the data and make it accessible, which was fine. then to my favorite part, at least at the moment: data analysis and visualization. I love it, but I still need to learn about and implement machine learning, so I might like that even more. So yeah, that's how I figured out what I wanted to do and what I didn't want to do. If you don't know what you're interested in, just watch tutorials on specific topics. for business intelligence that would be Power Bi or something similar. hope this helped
Hey Justin , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your video to reach to a wider audience
I started my first fulltime job fresh out of college 7 weeks ago as a Rotational Engineer at a telecom company (Not one of the big 3 aka Tmoblie, AT&T and Verizon) in midwest. My current role atm is performance analysis engineer. A lot of SQL query, excel, Tableau and R/Python. After that, I will be rotating to a software engineering role. we'll see which one I'll end up liking and where I will eventually end up I have been learning new libraries and working on programming projects on my own after work for a few weeks now all while still taking a ML course from my college from which I graduated 2 months ago. I graduated with a degree in math (pure math track to be more specifc) so I don't really have much background in tech nor data analysis. Been on the grind to catch up with the rest of engineers lol On top of that been studying some telecom wireless technology on the job as well to gain more domain knowledge. I've watched some of your previous videos and seems like you also started off as a Rotational Engineer as well... feel like I'm following your footsteps lol
@@josefminar9157 holy moly that's sick! U mind sharing if it's one of the big 3? Btw even though I have the title "engineer" I think I'm more of a BI developer but I think the reason corporate calls it "engineering" is because it does require some domain knowledge on the core side. So anything from eNB to EPC to IMS is my domain though I'm nowhere near an expert.
I think your journey to become a Data Scientist will be very long if you didn’t study/know much about Statistic, Calculus, Linear Algebra 😅 Machine Learning is simple to do but to be able to understand it deeply need lots of knowledge in Math and Statistics.
This cool, it takes a long time for me to learn the math stuff, good work!

Might be more difficult because of the non related degree, but if you can do the work I would hire you loool
Do you know the R language as well? I also think DataCamp is great too for learning

Why are you transitioning?
@@frederickkingjnr because data science is overrated
How would you rate the three of them, in terms of interest, barriers, job opportunities, salary etc.
do you think someone can be a data analyst or data scientist while studying econ? if yes how should i approach it

Data analyst job is stressful or not
Best of luck, man! I'm sure you'll smash it
Thank you brother!

That seems like a good option! I’m leaning towards the self teaching route since I already have a computer science degree
Do they accept people from other countries?
hey how did you know that you are interested in data science? I'm not sure what fields I'm interested in?

Hey Wachira here
I am currently learning data analyst
Can not wait to start working and help businesses be successful.

Wishing you the best in your journey Justin! I'm glad to have come across your video. I'm working to be become a data analyst. Keep up the grind!
Thank you! We’re in this together 🤝
I really want to learn data science. because I want to understand more papers , how things work! thanks for sharing!
Hey Justin I am doing exactly same what you are doing currently and learning DS .
Good luck! 👍You are on the right track for great success.
Thanks..but plz as a data analyst can I be back end developer?or Java developer?
Do you find data analytics repetitive?
Who else learning data science let's buddy up
Of Course I Will Join You Brother 🙏🏾
Yessir let’s gooo
Can I become a data analyst with an unrelated degree?
Hey Justin, can we get a desk setup vid?
AI will automate data science correct ?
Data science is overrated, data engineering or business intelligence is better imo
Why ?

Woah! Sounds like your on the right path! Way ahead of where I was when I graduated! Keep them options open!
Good luck bro, I started fulltime job as Junior BI Developer this month, also rotational role and also in Telco. It was nice to see your comment!!

To be a great Data Analyst, moving up to Senior DA is already hard, its not just SQL and visualization.
