Even my emotional vegan sister sees what you do as a 'good thing'- not because she dislikes rats, but because you treat your animals so well and because you give the rats a quick death rather than slowly poisoning them and then put their dead bodies to use.

Ranch/work dogs are used to it. They know what to jump over or around and know what they can and can't get near. Don't worry, they don't let themselves get hurt, usually. Ours worked in the same conditions and I only ever had to stitch one up once......and that's because she wasn't paying attention. She got to come in the Big House and be pampered, though 😊😊
Sherni's been trained from a young age to cache rats, which is why she can do it on demand. So not only can she kill, she can collect too. The others, well, they weren't trained to cache, so my guess is that if they see Sherni do it, they might do it themselves in the future.
I really appreciate how well you treat your animals, the same can't be said about a lot of people who use work animals. You even treat the animals you're hunting with respect and don't let them suffer.
i wish i worked at netflix so i could make your youtube channel one of those Netflix series. its so nice to see someone so open and approachable who goes to really get in detail with showing things, making sure their animals are safe and you actually DO your job. you're not one of those ineffective people who only do it for views you do what you do because its your way of life and your life. it's so interesting to kind of get in your head there.

I remember starting to watch you when... well before your daughter was born. I have always loved the Mustelidae family with my favorite three being American Mink, Black-footed Ferrets, and the Wolverines. I listen to this while I have been working remotely and always enjoy seeing them work. It has inspired me to honestly consider raising ratting dogs for my future homestead at least (I don't have the experience/time/resources to train up and handle mink, plus where I live "exotics-natives pets" are highly regulated = expensive). I would rather enjoy them vicariously through your channel.
Shernie is a fantastic dog. She is so intelligent. My Dad bred and trained border collies and every now and then one would be a genius. I'd love one of Shernie's pups, but alas Ireland is probably a lil too far away lol. You are a talented man Joseph. What you do is remarkable and people like you are the real animal lovers.
