I was kind of surprised how she just straight up jumped into Fontaine without even talking about the other nations
She probably glossed over Liyue, inazuma, and Sumeru just to make it a shorter vid and still get the chance to talk about the new stuff
She probably got offered an account to explore the latest region, like any content creator sponsored by Hoyo. She didn’t play the other regions
@@anonymus2583 Nah, sponsored videos like that are usually given accounts that are at the latest story bit. I've seen another from when 4.0 released, and the player was literally put in front of Fontaine with a random team.

The funny thing about this, is how accurate yet ridiculously funny jaiden’s video was. I would love to see the rest of her story, for example Liyue, Sumeru, and Inazuma. It would be very funny considering how hilarious Inazuma is.

The weird thing is that you'll only meet Lyney in Fontaine if you finished the Sumeru Archon quest. There's even totally different dialogue for the aquabus if you go there early. I wonder what bizzare save file they gave her.
It's possible they gave her one just outside of Fontaine, but she also made her own account to try out the beginning of the game. She does seem genuinely interested so she probably has her own entirely separate account now
I wouldn't be surprised if she just played through the whole game up to Fontaine.....
they probably gave her another account so she could play the Archon Quest, while the other one is hers. this is normal when people are going to be sponsored by Genshin, they normally asks you to start a new game and also give you a more grinded account to show the new stuff

Sadly some people who are new to Genshin Impact are now assuming the story quests in Fontaine is boring because Jaiden said she wanted to continue exploring instead of listening to the archon quest. In my opinion, Fontaine was one of the best story I experienced!!! I hope new players experience it for themselves!
Nowadays people just summarize in the most boring way possible when explaining to someone. For example for Naruto “Boy goes to ninja school, everyone in the village hates him because he has a demon in him, he protects and becames leader The End.”
MatPat did get sponsored by and made 3 theories about Genshin. It's just MatPat being MatPat talking about things from a very different perspective like how Mora works. He's just...practical.

Yeah it was a bit unfortunate because you can definitely tell it was just a sponsored video and not something he did because he wanted to. A lot of Genshin sponsored videos are like that though Jaiden’s video seems like she actually enjoyed the game.
@hayakueon3230 Which is a shame, since Genshin has a whole ass ton of lore and mysteries to dive into. I would have thought that would be right up his alley, but he seems to actively avoid anything with an anime-esque aesthetic.

when i first started playing genshin i thought you would get characters form quests like i got lisa, kaeya and amber and other free character you get and i rememebr getting super exited to do the venti quest thinking i was gonna get venti after his quest until i learned that you had to pull for them

That would be a sick way of getting characters and an incentive to pull on their banners, because hey you have the base character, but in the quest you played with them at c6 (or whatever) so don’t you waaaant to spend money and get their powered up forms!
@@tlowgh125 unfortunately I don't think that would work. You'd learn very quickly most characters work perfectly fine at C0 and can be built up to do good damage. Nobody would put in money to pull, plus they'd lose their biggest source of money, the youtubers and collectors ( totally not me) who just want to get all the characters to show them off or have them. If they did that they'd have to lock even more stuff behind money walls because the game just wouldn't be able to support itself if it just gave away a free copy of it's over 50+ characters
If I remember correctly, Xingqiu is a character which you get after doing his story quest, and he wasn't the only one but I don't remember who else was the same way. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yep. I was actually planning to cosplay Kaeya in one cosplay event in our city but my friends who were coming with me told me to not cosplay genshin. They told me that people are practically side eyeing cosplayers cosplaying genshin nowadays. I kinda get why but i was kinda bummed out because I wanted to cosplay kaeya for a long time now and it's my first time too lol. I just cosplayed tatsu from way of the househusband instead.

Actually since it's your money, time, and effort, you should do whatever brings you joy instead of trying to conform to 'friends' telling you not to be yourself. Hope that helps.
As long as there aren't rules or some actively aggressive people against genshin players for some reason (neither is common or really realistic), do what ever you want. People can side eye and judge you for many reasons, those a holes don't matter if you are content with your cosplay.
I swear, when you were in the Venti part, a Genshin add popped up at the *exact* same moment with Jaiden’s video.

Yeah...matpat made theories sponsored by genshin...though they aren't...the best imo. He focused on the stuff that didn't matter much or was really on the surface level
Yeah that's what happens when you're not actually interested in the universe and don't care about the story/lore, especially with lore as deep and spread out as Genshin's. Sponsors don't really do much of a deep dive.
You can usually tell what theory videos on game theory are actually going to be good because he usually has content of him actually playing or reacting to the content on GTLive.
Yeah it was pretty clearly just videos that existed because of a sponsor. There is a lot of lore in this game that you can look into and they’d made great videos but he just..focused on mora. It was pretty clear he’s not that interested.

The balloon description has now popped up twice at least, one jokingly but one is more serious. It's like hoyo is trying to implant that idea in the player's minds.
Like keywords like "a power from beyond this world" or "the skies of teyvat are fake." Those are things that makes us go, "wait, I've heard of this before," I think they're trying to do the same here.
This must be one of the funniest summaries of the story I gave seen. I wish they could do at least Inazuma. 😁

While this is one of the better ones, it's still painfully clear to be a sponsored video. (Jacksepticeye's vid on Genshin cringes me to no end the few times I'm reminded of it, which includes right now as I'm writing this.) ( The MatPat's ones are... so painfully meh.. )
Ooff. I remember Matpat's video. He made a theory in his last genshin sponsored theory video thats already been confirmed. Im kinda sad that he didn't actually dive into some of the more interesting lore, like the Enkanomiya, what would khaenriah's city beneath Sumeru would actually looked like, or what lies beyond the dark sea, the origin's of people of tsurumi island, how did Egeria died. So much potential lore to explore... But i can understand if this is not their cup of tea.
Sponsored Genshin videos are just... bad. It's so clear they don't care about it more often than not and are only taking it on for the sponsorship. I was so excited when I saw Jack and Matpat had Genshin videos only to find them incredibly dull, I didn't even finish Jack's. I quickly realized I needed to just stick to watching Genshin centric youtubers like Jeikage, Bran, Doro, and plenty of others as normal gaming UA-camrs don't really care about gacha games. The only one I found who played it and genuinely enjoyed it despite not having done many more videos on it was BijuuMike.
In fact MatPat already got sponsored 3 times for Genshin Impact is quite interesting how he still accepts the sponsorship. Maybe MatPat also got request for Honkai Starail but maybe decline it. I am actually waiting for MatPat doing 4.0 Genshin Impact video if he interested and I don't even know what's left for MatPat to do for 4.0 even. Maybe at least talking about why Celestia seems quiet recently even big things happening on Teyvat or maybe talking about the Dragons like Neuvilette by talking about what will happened if the Dragons take control of Teyvat once again?

Learning Genshin lore takes A LOT of effort, and I'm a long time viewer of all 3 of his main channels (haven't watched his GTLive videos for 3 years), I've watched his videos about his team's workflow, there ain't no way his team has enough time to spare when researching Genshin takes like 100 times the time he spent on FNAF in total on Genshin lore.
It would be like his Kirby video again where he just repeats some of the most obvious theories among the community.
He can make another surface level video again, at most. Like, I guess pulls in new players, but deeply meaningless for us to watch.
@@lacytaylor1501 have you watched Murderofbirds? To my knowledge, he's among the best genshin UA-camrs that's super invested in genshin lore. I've been watching him doing a in game book, artifacts lore, weapon lore, as well as characters details reading stream. He even uploaded them to his UA-cam channel Murderofbirds Impact for his let's play time capsule, even his lore reading stream into a video. The caveat is that his videos aren't up to date with the current patches, and he only recently released his Lantern Rite 2.0 playthrough video to the public on his YT channel. But since his videos is not up to date, his upload schedule has been consistent weekly, with some special days where he released 2-3 genshin videos per week. Go check him out if you're not already. I've watched quite a few story driven genshin content creators, but Bran, Doro, and Murderofbirds is definitely my top three.

The first came out when Yae Miko was first introduced if I'm not mistaken. I wouldn't mind watching him react but they are very very bland compared to his non sponsored content.

@@jacobgym Not Exactly, the first parts she played it on her own account, but Hoyo also lent her an account so she can try all the characters and explore and do more recent quests for promotion material. Hoyoverse does this to all the creators they specially reach out for sponsorship.

To be fair, we found out from Furina's character stories that even though she seemed flippant and blasé she actually had knowledgeable points during trials. Her feeling like she had to be all knowing during trials even came to light with her wanting to make sure people still thought of her as the archon. I think it was more dystopian that the people themselves viewed them as entertainment.
I DO think that she was keen to get started on a trial with the traveler in some way because she surely thought they would be the one to change things, to bring about that specific promise that "mirror me" told her about, but did they ever outright mention she made a bunch of silly laws for when that came? I don't think she would have known about the traveler until recently.
Editing to add: I don't remember the third theory video. One video was a bit outdated because MatPat didn't account for event lore (at the time, Scara and the gnosis were MIA, but you only "knew" that if you played the labyrinth warriors event; technically he did get back with the other harbingers and all but we didn't learn that until we actually got to Sumeru). The mora one with Zhongli is actually really good and highlights (to me) that in his own way, Zhongli is playing 5D chess with the loss of his gnosis causing no new mora to be made.

I mean Genshin be safest bet for artists at conventions to gain attraction + easy to sell. Read some stories getting a convention table space isn't exactly cheap. They usually determine what is the trend per year.

Imagine being in her place where blondie dude shows up and you think "here we go, he'll give me my trial, Focalors will come back, crisis will be averted and I will have endured it through the end" ... only for your savior to turn around and (from your perspective) make your 500 years of suffering pointless and kill everyone you tried to save. Honestly, I recommend watching that whole questline a second time after playing through the whole thing. For me, it really hit so much harder the second time around.
When she's pleading with the audience saying "you have to believe me", what she means is "you have to believe me or else we're all dead" and she's not allowed to explain why. She tries all sorts of excuses, but at the end of the day, when the judge gives his verdict, all she can do is sit down and accept that all the efforts she put up and everything she endured was for nothing, her people will die cursing her as the fraud she is, and she will live on to bear the weight of her failure.

There's a debate about this before but majority of those who been with anime community for years *Don't even think it's a big problem* This mainly because consumer likely buy merc that popular and trending just like previous years with AOT, MHA, Naruto taking over convention stuff.
Another factor is that Hoyo don't charge or fine people for releasing merchandise (only small business) which making it a lot easier as opposed to other game company. Some creator even talk about not knowing Genshin but sell Genshin stuff, it's profitable than their non Genshin merchandise.

The first time I played I DIDN'T even know you could wish for characters. And the playable characters we met, I thought they are just there as friends of the MC it took me to Klee's first banner to realize I could wish for characters. Still, I havent paid for any money and will remain f2p until this game ends
