great artwork by Karłowicz and very good performance by Michał Nesterowicz. Many thanks for posting this as it is so rare to hear it at concert halls, very appreciated!
This vast philosophical symphonic poem is made of three parts, which are sometimes played or heard independently from each other. Here, thanks th YT and the maestro Nesterowicz, we have the chance to hear the integral. Thank you for posting. The simultaneous contrast between the different orchestral masses is indeed astonishing. If he had not been killed by an avalanche in the Tatras montains, Karlowitz would have played a great role in the postromantic school. The development of the ideas follow a logic of their own, first through the three sections, each devoted to as specific feeling or idea, then inside each of the sections . Karlowitz did not give us a programme to follow the progression of his ideas (only the title of the three sections), and probably this is a mysterious alchemy between the abstract development of musical ideas and a vision of his own. The triumphant finale with the deployment of his brasses gives us an optimistic conclusion. Nevertheless, the pregression of the music is very exciting to follow. This vast symphonic poem is a masterpiece.
@@Ў.Ї-с8ш OK all is a matter of transcription from slavonic to American, two languages entirely different. Even between English and American we can find differences.
@@gerardbegni2806 You could talk about transcription if the original was in a different script, ex. Cyrillic, Hebrew etc. But in this case the original is in the Latin script already. There is no such a thing as tranSCRIPTion from Latin script to Latin script. What you do is at most careless butchering of sbd's name.
The maestro really is committed to this music, and it comes off successfully. I wish he realized the microphones were over his head however, as he hums the songs throughout.
