Hello Kay. We are having a Crochet Marathon that weekend (26-27 May)in South Africa 30 hours of crochet square. These will be donated to make blankets for people in need. Each person has a time slot to crochet but in groups.

Kay, you would laugh. I have been looking for this video every day, just like a little kid. Got my coffee and my socks, I’m happy now. Love the new yarn. I think for your niece I would make a poncho, maybe with sleeves. I just made one for my niece. I added collar with a knit cord tie and furry Pom poms. I can’t wait to see it on her. I am in the UK but I would love to join in with your sock camp if that's ok? I have just completed my first ever 9 inch circular knit sock following your tutorial. No one at home understands my excitement over this achievement 😂 hopefully you will 😂❤ Thank you so much for *finally* teaching me how to knit on circular needles. I see many, many more pairs of socks in my future 😂

Kay, THANK YOU so, so, so much for taking us back to a simpler Summer Sock Camp!! That's what knitting is all about, making it enjoyable and forgetting about any sort of competition. The simpleness of this years camp takes me right back to when I was a girl at home knitting and crocheting with my mother. Thanks again, I am really looking forward to this summer!

I like simpler KALs and there could be none but there's still one so that's great! And I think in the end the real fun of a KAL comes from the interaction between the participating people.
Oh! I have both of those sock sets from Three By The Sea, can hardly wait to cast them on. Working on National Parks beanies by Nancy Bates for a customer. They knit up quickly and are beautiful. I’m so glad we can cast on for Summer Sock camp this Friday so I can have a couple ready to go. June 1 starts another KAL with Moonglow yarn co. Lots to knit this summer 😊

OMG about your internet line being cut! We lost ours a couple of months ago starting at noon (I work from home). A truck drove into a pole in front of the Comcast building and took out internet for an entire half of the city. You couldn't even go to Starbucks to pick up service. I couldn't watch TV, listen to music (Alexa was out). I ended up pulling out some old vinyl and listened to records while reading. Fun fact: we got our internet back at 1am. That's when Alexa decided to start playing music really loud.

Hello from St.Louis Missouri. I just finished knitting your “Follow Your Path” pattern. I knit the socks in my yarnable color party like it’s 2023, they turned out beautifully, I will probably give them to my daughter or granddaughter, I will knit the pattern again.
Where I am sad Jody and I won't be able to road trip to see you to kick off SSC 2023! I am THRILLED for you for simplifying things and going back to basics! That has been my motto this year as well! Simplifying life and going back to basics...It's been an amazing feeling! I am excited for you to actually be able to enjoy this Summer with your family and knit socks with all of us 💜🩵. What about a block color sweater for Lily? I just saw one advertise from one of our LYS - I will send it to you- I actually thought about you and Lily when I saw it.

I love that unicorn dreamscape and lily pond yarns. And the Snoopy bag and stitch marker is so cute!!! I can't wait to start summer sock camp. I got a lot of sock yarn I've collected and is needing to be crocheted into socks.
Oh my goodness!!! I love Snoopy! That bag is adorable ❤🤗❣I love the dishcloth project and temperature blanket project bags, too. Perfect designs 👍🏾(I'm happy to say I'm up to date with my temperature blanket 😌) Not that I need any more of them, but I probably "need" (ha!!!) to buy one of those bags!

I have "Follow Your Path" on my needles now--after seeing your Rhinebeck Roomies, oh my goodness, those may be what I cast on first when camp opens or shortly thereafter. I met so many nice people the past few years at camp-hope to bump into them again this summer! Eric's socks are amazing-love that color combo. And your Regia ones rock! I love yarn that does the striping work for you. I picked up a few Ruth Ware books at a book sale a couple weeks ago after hearing you say how much you like her. I didn't see the one you just finished but do have the one you're reading now. I'm sure I'll be digging into one of them soon for my bedtime reading. How fun that you have a cut flower garden coming- I threw Sweet William seeds in my flower bed a few years ago and had no hope they'd sprout. I did have 2 plants last year and this year I have a whole bunch...I'm very excited! I do love plants that come up every year by themselves-like my Lily of the Valley. I love them so much.

Love all the socks you have made. I just had to order yarn from Three by the Sea for SSC. I’m looking forward to a relaxed SSC this year & appreciate you allowing WIPs. I have 1 sock started so I’ll be knitting on them for SSC before casting on another pair. My hubby & I will be heading to Tipp City, OH on 5/26 for my brother’s wedding (he’s a widower & is 70) so I’ll have several hours of knitting time. We also love going to antique shops here in Lancaster County, PA. 0:30

So excited for SSC this year! My daughter graduates the night of the 25th and I'll be home all summer to spend with the kids and maybe some traveling with my husband as he travels for work. Would love to be knitting on socks and camping/RVing this year. ❤🎓 🏕🧦
YEAH for SSC!! And YEAH for WIPs being included. I probably will not be casting on the 26th. Two reasons: 1) I still have 7 pair on the needles as of today (I'm finishing a pair tonight) and 2) an old farmer's tale says 'never start something new on Friday unless you can finish it by sundown because it will never be done'. I'll cast on in the wee hours of the morning, stay up until midnight Saturday, whatever, but never cast on on a Friday. Still very excited to be knitting socks. If I get my WIPs done, I'll have a nice start to a box of socks.
So excited for sock camp! Hooray for stress free sock knitting. For a sweater idea, I will be using Three By The Sea fireside in DK to make Two of Wands Autumn League pullover.

So glad wip’s are allowed! We’re in the midst of moving (900 kilometres) and I only have 2 sock wip’s in my bag. Hopefully I’ll get to some of my yarn by the 26th so that I can cast on a new pair then. 🎉

I got the Peanuts Best Friends medium project bag from Three by the Sea & have the yarn, needles & stitch markers in it. I'm knitting socks for my (adult) daughter for the first time : 2 pairs. One a short house sock (with contrast heel and toe) and the other a "long" leg self striping sock (with contrast cuff and toe). I'm hoping to keep socks on the needles all year! I’m so happy summer sock camp will be simple- definitely ready to just knit socks. I have read most of Ruth Ware’s books and agree that Turn of the Key is kind of creepy. I have a bunch of girls and love knitting sweater patterns by Georgie Nicolson (tikkiknits)- like Granny’s favorite, surf side, gidday. She has lots of patterns and they are well written. Looking forward to what you choose. My youngest daughter’s birthday is in October and I’ve knit her several sweaters based on your choices for Lily. So thank you!😊

Hi Kay - I’m looking forward to a low key Summer Sock Camp too. I live in Southern CA so I don’t really wear my knitted socks in the summer, but I’m looking forward to getting socks knitted up for the cold weather when I wish I had all the socks 😁💕

Yeah to SSC. Year two for me! I've been waiting for a show like Farmer wants wife in the US for forever. I think Germany is starting Season 18 and I really missed it. My husband thinks it's stupid but I couldn't stop watching.
