I use mine everyday, year round. It has made a difference in my health as I don't get chest infections from the damp anymore !

In rainy times, my tank is full and needs emptying about every 15-20 hours. The hose can be run to the sump pit so you don't have to empty the tank. As far as the filter, I only get lint in mine as it's near the laundry room, I just run the vacuum hose over it.

We have a dehumidifier and it was good at keeping our family room / basement dry especially in August when it is so humid in my area. A humidifier is also good in the winter months. Good video you are very good at explaining items, well done.

We have one in our living room and it makes a massive difference! We empty it at least 3 times a day. No joke.

Thank you for mentioning cleaning the filter every 250 hours. I put an email reminder to myself to rinse/clean the filter screen and the smaller rock-looking filter part, clean the bucket and get it going again. I live in the Midwest and have my unit in my basement. I set mine for 35 (not 40 or 45) and continuously run it with a hose to a drain. This is why I got the 50 pint with pump. Totally worth it. Thanks so much for the video.

I bought a dehumidifier when my son was little he stayed sick and the doctor said it might be because of moisture in the house.
We use it every fall/winter and it really does make a BIG difference in our house.
I can run mine over the weekend and have to empty it out about 2xs. Mine holds 5gallons.
We love ours. Really good investment.

i can attest to the fact that a dehumidifier is important, if not incredible! our basement is partially finished concrete slab foundation with adjoining crawlspace, which is open. my dream home has no problems......in my dreams!

I love your reviews. You make it easy to understand. I like the size of it, the fact that it is on wheels and the light telling you it is full. I didn't think I needed one but now I may consider it for the spring. I have a open floorplan that seems to get cool and damp on the north side. I have some moss growing outside the patio door and some mold starting to grow in the vent nearest the patio door. I think this would help.

What a great review 👍🏻. I wish we had a basement, I would love to see how it does in a humid Florida house. That was so nice of them to send it to you. Thank you for your excellent review. 💜❤️💕🐶🐶🐱

Great review. Dehumidifiers are fine in the basement for the winter because they're basically a heater, but I wouldn't run one upstairs in the winter for health reasons and wooden furniture as you said. I really don't see the point of dehumidifiers, because in the summer the AC removes humidity, but I think it would be fine in the basement in your case if running the heat all by itself doesn't take care of the excessive humidity.

Not in a basement. I have central air that's new but basement humidity is at 67% in summer.

thank you Sophia, as usual whatever you explain you are always so crystal clear. this was very useful as I have been needing to buy one for some time and been very hesitant as it is an investment and my flat is small and crammed of stuff (constantly decluttering) I do have a constant musty smell in my flat (ground floor and condo basements under me) and some mold and it is constantly damp...so I may have to consider it seriously

I need a humidifier in my little house to cut down on static electricity in the winter. I hate those damn shocks. In the spring and summer I run a dehumidifier because the renovations to my home has caused the house to be air tight and moisture in the air causes my computer to stop working. I'm not kidding. My mouse and everything stops working because the humidity is over 70%.
