As low as it is? It’s going up in germany again. 1,5 months ago it was at like 55€ and now it’s up at 78€ again. Hope the prices gonna fall a bit again

Youd be a fool to buy japanese over english when 10 years later the english sealed products will be worth 10x more 😂
What do you think about english 151? It's hard to get / expensive, and I‘m not sure whether I should pick up english or japanese.

if you dont have it already big oof. I guess you have to try and time it and wait on this supposed reprint like MANY others.
problem with this reprint is. its a take it or leave it bundled with other things. some are having to buy thousands of dollars of other sv cases and etbs just to get 2 bundle displays at msrp.
do you really think they are going to just dump that 151 then?
HIGHLY UNLIKELY and so imo its unlikely that price comes down much. if it drops bet your bottom i'll pick some up and so its prob a very tight window to actually time it out.
time in market always beats timing it. why didnt you load up on upc ? they were 80 bucks and even less all year

@@Borgimanio ahh ya that def sucks. Keep an eye out Costco is ur best bet and big box stores like best buy target walmart both online and in store sometimes have bundles for 25. Where i got mine in winter but they pop up now n then. Theres sites that will alert you if it pops up
I just loaded up on ETBs at launch and will hold long term. People will want to open in 10 years for sure!
Though I am a 90% sealed investor/collector. I think looking at buying slabs or singles from the late Sun & Moon sets is what I am/would be doing right now. Cosmic Eclipse especially has so many beautiful cards , better than Evo Skies and Team Up IMO. And they're nowhere near as expensive as you'd think considering the box price. (Like how good Reshiram/Zekrom Alt is for less than $100). And even the Unified Minds is a HEAVILY slept on set IMO. The Tyranitar/Sableye and Raichu/Alolan Raichu alts are just as good as any alt art from SWSH, (except maybe the tina/moonbreon) , and you can get PSA 10s of them for 250-300usd without too much effort. :)

@@simonalcroft7897 cant just say nope with no reasoning , late sun and moon sets singles being heavily undervalued is almost a fact. i guess you could not like the art but i think they feature very popular pokemon with good artists, and they are way scarcer than swsh and s&v .
@@metricer999When you’re at my level, you understand how the market moves. Single cards are NEVER as good long term as the sealed product they are from. 👎🏻
@@simonalcroft7897 there are many cards that have outperformed sealed products from over the years percentage wise. sets with good singles that are undervalued by 5-10x is just as good of an investment than a booster box that is 2x overpriced.
@@simonalcroft7897 i replied to you but its not showing up for me so idk if it sent , but i basically said that many cards outperform booster boxes % wise , especially if the booster boxes are already incredibly inflated. late sun & moon alts are better than any alt that has come out in the s&v era so far, if any of the tyranitar , raichu , or reshiram (which are all way under 100$ raw and under 300$ for a psa10) alts came out in a s&v set now itd be the most valuable single card from the whole era. imo i think having a more diverse portfolio of pokemon items such as slabs that are really undervalued and are clear fan favourite pokemon is an incredible idea compared to being narrow-minded and only buying sealed when atm there arent many good sets coming out of s&v yet. though rn shiny treasure ex boxes are looking like a good buy rn at like 25$ each.
I loved this. I like option two and then option one. But I love how you added. It’s important to find solutions if a product gets reprinted or the price drops so dollar cost average reduces any potential loss and also increases potential gains. Great video.

How do you know when the train is about to leave the station? Like, I mean, where do you get your information from ? How do you find out if a set will not get a Reprint and retired?
If it's very close to end of rotation and volume is dwindling, it should be a fairly safe bet!

Last month I bought a slab of Paldea Evolved, and several 🇯🇵151 BB’s… my next buy will probably be a slab of TWM or TF, just waiting for a good deal.
I really like Temporal and TWM. It'll be really interesting to see which one/s do or don't get reprinted. That's going to be the kicking point for price!
I wwntd silver tempest couldn't afford the price of a booster box and just brought build and battle stadiums for cheaper around $3 a pack

1:16 how do you come across boxes? Do you just buy them as a whole? From the store?(where ever they sell Pokémon cards)?
I've recently started to invest in Booster Boxes but notice there are some dubious vendors, and I don't want to buy fake boosters. What should I look out for, and who are some of the safest, more reputable Pokémon sellers in Oz?
I like gameology, especially when they have a sale, like before $155AUD for Paldea Evolved 🤤

Where do individual sellers in Australia sell booster boxes?
I know evolving skies will spike but I rather buy multiple of different booster boxes or many 151 jp boxes for 600$ than 1 evolving skies
That’d be a good approach for sure and guaranteed a lot more interesting!! I got a sealed case of JP 151 in reprint in June for less than one booster box of evolving skies
Vivid came out at a crazy time. It released here in the UK just as the first lockdown happened during COVID. People were scalping hard!

PokeOz, which of the English sword and shield sets are the best to buy sleeved booster cases of? I was looking at silver tempest or astral radiance, but I’m not 100% sure.
I'd go boxes before sleeved boosters man. Just liquidity purposes!
What’s your opinion on something like crown zenith or vstar universe. I feel like the breadth of great cards and chase cards it would be a fun pack for opening in the future? I have an opinion that sets with near impossible chase cards or too many packs that give very little return would be undesirable.
Amazing sets but printed so heavily, it'll take some time!
At under 350-400 per booster box, scoop up those mid-late sword/shield boxes.
On that note, great mindset on the average/box price long term - I've spent 170 on fusion strike then is spent 280, my average is still under 220 - and this can be applied to most my later Sw/Sh boxes.
I still missed the ES train and I'm still mad about it 😂
ES is still cheap compared to what it's going to be in 5-10 years. If youre mad now you will be crying that you didnt buy at least 1.
@@erik1993 it's not that people don't think it will go up more over time, it's just too high of an entry point for most people. The current price of one evolving skies booster box is more than all my investing purchases last year combined.

I know booster boxes are the better overall investment, but what do you think is better budget investment between ETB’s and Booster Bundles?
I'm really interested to see how booster bundles will perform, I think they need a bit more time. But 151 Booster bundles will be solid!!

Anyone with pokemon knowledge give me some advice. I want to invest in a pikemon card between 1-1.5k and give it to my son who can sell when he's 18 years old. Any recommendations? I like psa 9 1st edition gyrados. Ir base set charizard psa 9. What do use all think? Any better options?
Missing Evo Skies at $110 isn’t that bad.
I paid $160 a box which is over MSRP and I still did well.

Let me give you an example. 10 years ago you put 5k in an etf you would have 15k now and that is just with a single investment. Now imagine you add $100 a month every month for 10 years at 8% average compounding, the equivalent of 2 etbs a month or one bb. You would have 120 bbs after 10 years but even if those had doubled over time you would still have made less than 15% of actually doing proper investing which after 10 years would have allowed you to buy those 120 boxes and also be able to buy a new high end electric vehicle. The rate of return is abysmal for cardboard which makes them an awful speculation. Show us your figures
If you bought $5k worth of booster boxes of the set that came out 10 years ago (Furious Fists) you'd have $50k worth based off the price they're currently selling for on Ebay.
my booster boxes have been doing great , except 151. ill probably buy a couple more just to get my average cost down

You mean which booster box you should speculate...right? Why is it that all australian investbros constantly say 'investment' instead of 'speculating'. A 5-10 years speculation into cardboard boxes is less financially viable than investing that money in an s&p500 vanguard etf for example. You will have way better returns that way which would enable you to buy the same exact boxes 10 years later and still have 10 times more money. As an investment booster boxes is horse**** in terms of roi over 10 years. Show your figures over 5 years and compare it with an etf...I dare you to try to show that the return is better
My investment in booster boxes is far outperforming any shares I have had over the last 5 years
Are you telling me that on average stocks are up like 15-20x in the last 10 years? Pokemon literally outperforms Gold. Not saying that's guaranteed forever, but I think it's fair to INVEST in the largest media franchise in history by buying their most popular product and holding it in mint condition.
@@daringiconoclast6547 If you leave your money churn in an etf you get compounded interest. This means every year you get money added to the main fund and it repeats every year. Gold doubled in just 5 years and has liquidity. Pokemon does not. Rebel clash bb is at $220 but you can not unload $50k of it because it sells less than 5 a month which is what ALL investbros conveniently don t mention
@@daringiconoclast6547 Gold is not a high-return investment, it's a low-risk hedge against inflation and state bankruptcy. Government bonds usually have a higher rate of return, as they are slightly higher risk than gold, since gold is generally considered to be the safest form of investment.

It's not and never will be. Gen 1 and 2 Pokemon will forever be the most popular. Most people never even played x and y. Also the tera gimmick is the ugliest gimmick the tcg has ever had.
