Tips For Coping With Wildfire Smoke In Your Home 🔥

In this video I share my tips for coping with wildfire smoke.
1. Air Purifiers:

2. Allergy Meds - we like Costco brand "Aller-Tec"
3. Humidifiers
4. Replace you air intake filters (you should be doing it every few months anyhow)
5. Masks outside
6. Dyer - keep it shut! Be sure vents are sealed.
7. Keep everything shut!! I will even carry all the groceries to the door then open it, throw everything in and shut it quickly!
8. Towels under the doors to outside (I show an example in the video)
9. Watch the AQI - the two apps I use are Air Visual & Air Now

I live in western Oregon. Last year our air was 300-800 for 10 days and it was very hard. You guys have had smoke for 2 months??? Not seeing the blue sky was difficult.That and the smell. I’m also a very outdoor person. We didn’t have air purifiers either. They were all sold out as well. By the time we got them the smoke was gone. We now have two. At the time we just bought box fans and put air conditioner filters on the back of them. I made wet towels for under the doors.

I live in Rapid City South Dakota and the Smoke from the Wildfires in Canada and other States been Bad all Summer I have very Bad Allergies and the Wildfire Smoke's been making me Ill and making my Allergies Worse the Wildfire Smoke's been Irritating my Eyes too

I'm so sorry you and your family are going through this it just sounds terrible I watch Logan and Caroline Allec on the Allec family channel they also go thru the same its awful!! I just could NOT do it hun GBY I would pack up and move I can remember my grandmother saying years ago to me that California wouldn't be a good state to live in STAY SAFE LUV ! Hi Jeni, I can feel your frustration for Shasta County’s burdensome, regularly wildfire polluted environment. While it may be tolerable for some diehards who have a more que sera sera attitude, it clearly is not a sustainable situation for others like yourself that are more concerned about the mental and physical health and well-being of themselves and their families. I think I’m in order by suggesting that the time has come for you to give yourself permission to talk more seriously with your husband about moving your family to a different, healthier state. I know that relocation is usually not an easy thing to do voluntarily - but let’s be honest, your family would be justified in viewing this situation as seriously involuntary from now on. Sometimes is best to take your horse by the reigns and make haste to happier and healthier pastures! Stay strong and keep the faith that better times are ahead ...🙏

I'm from Northern California between the two current fires in Dixie and Caldor and have left the area for Eastern Tennessee one main reason is these continuing fires
