@@bhwilkoff Is the new screen any brighter or does it have better viewing angles than the old screen? I really like this laptop but ..UGH.. that screen is garbage.

Hi, is it possible to replace the whole panel including the plastic parts? I find videos of replacement "only" for the display

@@LeJo222 It's called display assembly, and its usually only done on computers where LCD is glued/molded into the bezel (plastic frame) and digitizer (glass touchscreen). It usually makes no sense to replace anything more than the LCD itself on computers that allow it. If your laptop's bezel or back cover are damaged you would need to find either a "hinge-up assembly" or a full (broken) computer "for parts" on eBay.

that's a great video! I have the same laptop, I was curious to know if it is possible to swap the panel with a more colour accurate display panel? Is there a panel that is a direct fit for this laptop? Any help is appreciated!

during the musical number when replacing the bezel it would have been nice to have more comment from the installer. It took so long complete such a small task. Did you consider explaining why? Those details could have helped save my screen. somehow while trying to manipulate the lower bezel down into the hinges my screen cracked with very little pressure being exerted on it. It's supposed to be an instructional video not a vaudeville act. Also the chemistry between the camera operator and the technician was annoying. WHY are you even making videos together? WHY would you accept your editor dubbing over your work with music that makes the whole operation seem dumb? It could have been sped up and dubbed with narration explaining the operation, and that is such an obviously better idea. I needed more out of this video, and I hope my complaining can be appreciated as constructive criticism. Camera operators attitude makes me think it's just going create resentment.

the "camera operator" is the 10 year old kid of the "technician"
