The Freedom album-is- great. Carlos is on fire 🔥 I saw them at Shoreline Amphitheater for the twentyth anniversary concert. With the original band including Neal Schon, I think was the culmination of this tour, awesome 👌 Muchas gracious amigo

THE FREEDOM ERA WAS JUST THE BEST. CARLOS' PLAYING WAS SUPERLATIVE AND THE SONGS ARE BRILLIANT. WHAT A TALENT BUDDY MILES WAS. SINGER, DRUMMER AND BLOODY GOOD GUITARIST TOO.......PROBABLY THE BEST SANTANA LINE UP.
Efectivamente puede ser que halla sido la mejor alineacion pero para el super natural era una gran banda muy buenos musicos ;la baterista cindy no es tan buena pero pz ya es la ultima.etapa de santanancon 75 años.
Thank you for this post.I have seen Carlos 20 times and by the time this tour came my way in summer of '87 Buddy was not with anymore and I was bummed because i really loved Freedom.I have some stuff on my channel converted from VHS too and a few stolen by what is now called The Music Vault.They have some lawyers threaten to shut down your channel.Somehow they got the rights to Santana in Moscow 1987 and they charge people to watch what was on Showtime-which is criminal !!!
Sorry but Buddy was a hack. He was a big step down from the previous version of the band when they had Greg Walker and Alex Ligertwood together. Carlos just brought Buddy along as a favour because he been in some legal trouble and was broke at the time. I was glad when i went and it was only Alex on vocals, for real Santana fans it sucked having Buddy singing much worse version of songs that normally Alex and Greg sang live.
@@greatunz67 I have a 100 or so Santana posts on YT for 12-13 years now and a majority of people: rave about Alex/rave about Jimmie Vaughan when Stevie and Ceasar were there and play way better/and rave about Buddy playing guitar on 1 song. Buddy had a great voice and great material on 'Freedom'. Alex always has good material but to me usually a cracking, off-key voice. I don't know why people like him so much? I partied with him once when he was at a hotel bar after a concert with his on-road gf while he was married and he claimed he had no money for drinks. Nice guy and sang at the table with us but...anyway. Greg Walker 20 times better than any other singer no one close. Gregg Rolie cool voice. Tony Lindsey,Voreice Cooper,Leon Patillo, all of them better than Alex. Within his range he's OK. If you took the 10 songs on 'Freedom' and compared them to any 10 by Alex-Buddy's voice is better on all or any than Alex's best. And like you said he's not even that good. Real Santana fans see him 20 times over a 30+ year period by the way...
