- Have you seen my Mommy? I'm Hungry. Turn up the volume and listen carefully.. I was inside and heard a peculiar noise, finally I opened the door I must admit it took my by suprise.. I swear it understands me.. It sure wants me to listen to it when I try backing away.. Two were born the day before so this little fawn was about 28 hours old.. I'll post another video of sibling and mom (Mommy came back after 1 day they still come to the house regularly) It is very common for mom to clean the babies then go away to clean herself, this helps keep predators away. When they were being born Mom knew we were there and the newborns saw and smelled us when they were learning to stand up.. I guess baby was comfortable with us.. When mom went away the Fawn, I guess, went to the only other animal it knew..

@@keqinlim7317 I'm pretty sure that it's legal here in the US. Hell, we hunt & eat them 4 food.
Although they most likely aren't the best pets due 2 their diet & skittish nature. Also, they require a lot of space 2 run & they're amazing jumpers (good luck keeping them in a fenced in area.
It would undoubtedly b easier 2 keep a smaller dear species as a pet as they wouldn't require quite as much food, & can't jump as high. The deer we have here in Virginia r tiny, adults typically only growing the size of a large family dog. The white tailed deer in Upstate New York (where I grew up) on the other hand, grow as large as a horse. If u could domesticate 1, u could put a saddle on them & ride them like a horse, they grow so large.

One of the most beautiful things in life. I saw a Fawn a bit older than this 3 years ago when I moved to the country. 🥲🥰💘 I was just getting ready to step out on the back porch to get a closer look at him/her and here came Momma running up as if to say "back off human!" 😱

I grew up on a native reservation up north here in Ontario Canada and I've seen my share of dears and fawns and any other wildlife and it's not unusual for a fawn to turn to a human if it's alone with no mama deer around. It's one of the most beautiful moments that I have personally dealt with ❣️♥️❣️♥️. Thanks to Mother Nature 🌹

I live in Maine and haven't seen any starving Deer around here in my 42 years of life, and they all have plenty of weight on them, and are thick. Maine has tons of Deer and Moose roaming around our State that are happy and doing just fine.

I raised 2 fawns in MO. Both of them lost their leg by a hay bailer. Raised them on goats milk, made them both a crutch out of paint sticks to stabilize their walking skills. As they got bigger they no longer needed the crutch and both got around on 3 legs. They followed me everywhere and slept in the house. They would go to the door when needing to go just like a dog. They both lived till dying of old age.
WOW! What a amazing story. How long did they live? And I thought their little pebbles come out whenever. I bet you cried like a baby when they passed😥
@@lindaneblett6438 Bambi lived little over 11 years and Dasiy lived a little past 13 which was good. With a lot of hard work daily I was able to get them to go to the door and go in a big litter box I had on back porch. I will say this was nowhere easy. Yes had many many doings in the house but their room was what we called the mud room so there was a tile floor. After they finally learned to go to door they were allowed to roam the 1st floor of the house. And will say it was an experience I would do all over again but living in California now that will never happen

What’s nice is that I can tell by that sweet little dear and your gentle voice that you are a kind person and that little phone had found the right place to go in the event it was lost or it mom had passed away. Thank God for a little kindness, which is not really so little it’s easy but some don’t think to bother. A couple of years back I found a newborn baby deer in the middle of the road. I blocked the road with my truck picked her up placed her over the wall and waited for Mom to show up. I was told that when Mom gives birth she goes out forging for food. Somehow this little one had found herself on the other side of the wall. I was so relieved when I saw mom coming back for her baby. Being able to hold and cuddle a baby deer for just a few minutes is something I will never forget. Pure beauty and innocence.
Sometimes we need to be reminded they still exist, or at least I do. ♥️

Oh those squeaks can become absolute SQUEALS. I once witnessed a fawn fall off the bulkhead into a lake. Confused, it began swimming out into the lake where it would have drowned. I jumped in, swam to it, and swam back along the bulkhead until I reached some metal stairs going down into the water. I climbed up, carrying the fawn and the moment I laid it down it SQUEALED SO LOUDLY. Mama Doe came running! I backed out onto the dock. She quickly assessed her fawn, who then got up and they both trotted off.
