- Hey guys!! I have been OBSESSED with taupe-bronze eyeshadows for a bit now and I thought I would share with you the best in my collection!! Yes please do a matte version!!! I have very warm coloring and cool tones make me look I'm suffering from consumption, and not in a cool gothy way. But in a tried, drawn, ashy, way. So I love these kinds of colors that ride that warm/cool line.
The Hourglass scattered lights in Smoke is one of my favorites when it comes to these types of shades! ❤️

Yes!! The Nabla Cutie palette in Platinum is my favorite for this! I just love this little palette.
Flower Beauty 4-pan eyeshadow kit "Black Iris" has a shade I call "Bruised". Really ugly! But the other three shades are great!
Sydney Grace - Tiara
YASSSSSSS! I cannot get enough of these colors. I’ve been on the hunt for more lately too! Literally my FAVORITE color eyeshadow EVER.
Love these types of colors but I'm def more into the gray-purple-taupes. Colourpop's Stone Cold Fox palette was the answer to this and I'm so happy to have it. Wet n Wild has a single eyeshadow called Nutty that is a base of a brown but has this cool toned silver shift, with a slight tone of gray, maaaaybe a hint of purple, I love it. Plus, it's a $1.29. Still available, can still get it. Something newer is Essence's little six pan palette in Taupe it up! There's two shades in it that fall in this category, Saturday Night and Hands Up High. Saturday Night is def more silvery though. Don't think this is available anymore but The Balm's foiled again eyeshadow in Locked Up is a dark gray-purplish base with a silver sheen. I love it and was so happy to get it in an Ipsy bag waaaaaay back.
I could give you the absolute BIGGEST HUG. as soon as I saw this thumbnail I remembered wet n wild’s nutty and was swept away in reminiscing. I had NO IDEA it was still available!!!!!!!!!!! truly a light in my day today. THANK U 💓💓💓💓

I have CT’s Oyster Pearl and I have to say that the Revlon cream shadow (the ones that come in a crystal pot) in Caramel is a reaaaaally good dupe. On my eyes, they look almost the same. And the Revlon one stays way better on my oily lids. I would not have purchased the CT one had I known this xD just throwing it out there.
By the way, I think Urban Decay Born to Run palette has a shade that could fall in this category. I think it’s called Smog? Something like that.
And YES to the matte version of this!!
L’Oréal infallible bronzed taupe. It’s a classic, love the formula, and I mean the name says it
Yes! This one is still so good! Less sparkle and more satin, but has that warm/cool balance.
For a drugstore option in this colour family, Revlon Colour Stay Creme Eyeshadow in 710 Caramel definitely qualifies I think. My favourite eyeshadow.
Victoria Beckham Lid Lustre in Mink is perfection with these shade types.

An old school, inexpensive version of this, that you can still buy, is Shimmering Sands from Cover Girl. That's all I wore in the 90's.

Phytosurgence has a few of these! All four of the weathered woods collection, especially Chilled Cherry, and even Defiant Dahlia and Deeply Rooted from their other formulas... they are so incredible.

I have the Weathered Woods collection, but on me, they look very cool toned, no warmth at all (I’m light medium with neutral undertone). I’m a little bummed because I love taupes, they’re my favorite kind of “neutral”, which is why I got these, but they look way way too cool against my skin tone, almost grey, so I have to combine them with a bit of something else to make them work for me. On my skin tone, Deeply Rooted does have that quality of it being cool and warm at the same time. I just ordered Defiant Dahlia, and I’m excited to have it already and play with it!
@@kohk79 I have the same problem. I had 2 of the Weathered Wood collection but they look very grey on me. I thought it was my application issue. =P I like Wild Oak a lot more
@@vivianlaw7236 I wanted to get Wild Oak on this last order I placed with Defiant Dahlia, but I forgot! 😩 I’ll get it in my next purchase. Good to know that Wild Oak works better than the Weathered Woods collection.
My favorite shade in this category is half light from Rituel de Fille. The pots are small but the eyebrush from Roen fits them perfectly.

Nabla Side by Side Palette, the shade better society. Tried it today and the exact same vibe!
Aaaah i absolutely LOVE this color!! My very first eyeshadow I ever purchased as a teen back in like 2011 was Urban Decay's Midnight Cowboy Rides Again single which was in this family leaning a bit more gray. That one has been discontinued sadly, but UD has a metallic called Mushroom that I adore that has that slight warmth to it but is on the cooler, more purple side (the combo of Mushroom and UD Space Cowboy single as a topper is the closest I've gotten to replicating Midnight Cowboy Rides Again from them).
Not a single shadow, but the BH Cosmetics Let That S*** Go palette has a shade called Namaste that is 100% fitting with these! I rarely hit pan on shadows but I use Namaste so much for one shadow looks when I'm in a rush that I've hit pan in it. That palette has a beautiful green color story in general too, highly recommended it!

Yes!!! Finally more people love this category of color! I thought that I was alone in this - obsessed with this shade. It’s always my one-and-done color. The Charlotte Tilburry chameleon eyeshadow stick in dark pearl gives me this look. I need more!

Urban Decay Naked 3 comes to mind, I still enjoy using that palette. These aren’t the most flattering colors on me for every day, but I still love them.
The ones that immediately come to mind in my collection are the Rituel de Fille Crystalline Matter Eye Soot in Tellurium, Devinah Seduced (for a really deep and smoky version of this sort of color), Devinah Fire Hunt (closer to a true neutral but has just a hint of taupe in my eyes), and the whole ColourPop Of Quartz Palette I think fits this vibe pretty well!
Hands down my fav shade of all time 👏🏼👏🏼 My absolute top pick is berries and chocolate from emme cosmetics. For an eyeshadow stick, I love rosy brown from kiko Milano.
Obsessed with taupey bronzey shades. My favourite ever is Paris from the ABH Mario palette. Like you, I constantly look for these shades and I'm happy to buy them over and over.
VB Beauty Lid Lustre in Mink is my ultimate. I also love the way the base colour blends out perfectly, so when you do a one-and-done with it, it still looks like youve used more than one colour. It's gorgeous!.

Ohh yeah..i love these shades! My favorites are phytosurgence flash floresence cream shadow in CHILLED CHERRY (stunning!) & loreal 24hr infallible shadow in bronzed taupe (also love the amber rush- both have that cool toned but warm look!)

Urban Decay, back when they had an awesome shadow formula, not the dry dusty one of today, had a gorgeous neutral taupe shimmer called YDK. I miss it so much.

Lauren Sklar I have seen your eye palette declutters and loved hearing about them. Love this channel. Lauren Mae is the Queen of depoting and she inspired me to remove every 9 pan palettes by Colourpop from 12 cheap plastic crap, took a magnet remove about 13 palettes, and now have 3 large, 3 Small for making my own colourful looks. It reduced so much wasted space. from 13 to 3. Also so much fun!

Sephora brand single shadow on “choc shoc” is my ultimate favorite taupe bronze
I have that based on Amanda Z recommendation, I love it but on me its more like slightly reddish mauvey brown with silver bits (like a sequin formula) ! Not so much of a taupe or bronze imo 🤔 I have tan olive skin maybe the color didn't work on me!
Colourpop Snake eyes - taupe but has a touch of rosy in it, so pretty ! Also everyone talks about Sydney Grace Tiara but their single shadow Peace is even better fitting into this category actually, way better then Tiara. Also Sydney Grace cream e/s The Queen - youll love it. Warm but cool.

Oh I love shades like this that has a smidge bit of warmth!! I have have very warm skin. Most golds, and bronzes pull extremely orange and yellow on me.
Because of the warmth in my skin, it actually warms up the shade and makes it a true bronze and I love it! Especially when I pair it with sandy or caramel shades with true dark browns. Ugh 😍

I've really been enjoying an all over Matte mid tone brown shade and also Steam Heat from MAC which is very similar to the shadows you're swatching here. These are such easy to wear shades, yet they have great impact. Great selection Lauren. Have a great day

I saw your thumbnail and instead of watching right away I sat down and swatched all of my taupe eyeshadows to keep myself from buying more 😂 not sure if it worked. Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow in Praline!! Chocolate is also such a good taupe brown matte. If you end up finding it at the CCO, Tom Ford’s Nude Dip is the HG taupe eyeshadow. It’s the wet dry formula so you can layer it up and create such multidimensional, one shadow looks.
I LOVE these colors! I have an unhealthy obsession so I'm so excited to see all these! My personal fav is the MAKE UP FOR EVER single in I-544. Def brain-bending... depending on what you pair it with, it could potentially look more neutral and bronze-y, but I love it with MUFE's M-549, which is a cool matte taupe that really brings out the cooler tones in the shimmer.
Same! My current favourite taupe-bronze is the Dior single in Beige Mitzah - recommended by Amanda Z. Online swatches do not do the shade justice, such a multidimensional fine shimmer.

Taupe is such an interesting colour. It's no wonder that almost every eyeshadow company has some kind of variation of this colour. A couple years ago I combined Sydney Grace Warm Glow and The Queen cream eyeshadows, with a bronzer in the crease. Its been my go too look since. It’s exactly this combining warm with cool bronze. I get compliments every time I wear the combo. SG cream eyeshadows are so easy to work with and seriously takes minutes to do my eyes. So fast and easy. SG usually has a July sale, pick up the two and I promise you will thank me!!
I love MAC Sable and Satin Taupe although Sable is quite warm on me. Les Artiste is also in that pewter/taupe category and is a great topper for Sable or Satin Taupe or even on top of purple shades. Nars Lahore is another one of my favourites. I will forever mourn a purpley taupe in a Clinique quad I had from a decade ago - I am forever looking for its replacement.
