"We go back?"
"Mm."
"Back!?"
"Yeah."
that exchange made me realize that he really did the Bane voice lol
Love Tom Hardy's acting, but I have to agree: many of his characters don't talk too much. I recommend "Locke", in this one, it's all about Tom Hardy talking :-)
he is like Ryan Gosling. the characters they play mostly acts through body language, rather than straight dialogues. it's also ironic considering both of them did movies with Nicolas Winding Refn, where they did less talk and more body language acting
@@spartan1010101 **takes helmet back after holding up the stock market** “thank you” in that voice lol

Max actually knows the extent of the wasteland. If memory serves, he willingly ventured into it from a relatively nice place after his family's death
😂😂😂
Max is legendary, his feats in the wasteland are legendary. If you're gonna have a "hard day" then you definitely want mad max on your side.
Max too goated
1:36 is where you see that Max has regained his humanity. he smiles a bit and almost jests with the Keeper of the Seeds
In the Scene where one of the girls nearly gets hit by a rock he smiles, too.
I’ve heard that scene wasn’t in the script
Being alone for too long made him mad. Started seeing horrible illusion and lost himself. Having some company with you even if they were your enemies is a nice feeling. Furiosa and the other's brought back max again. Once again he is himself.
@Frosty Taco Well-said.
I love the way he says “redemption” it’s so good
exactly!
Yeah, he tries his level best to sell his plan to Furiosa but without completely disregarding the complexity of execution of it as evidenced by his delivery of the word "redemption".
Nux being the one to say “Feels like hope” is so poetic. Excellent character arc
Love how Furiosa looks down defeated, with both the knowledge that it’s their BEST chance at survival and ALSO suicide. It’s her Ray Stanz “Cross the Streams” moment 😄
Cross the streams . Too cool.
i dont think people realize how great tom hardy is as an actor. this guys is a future oscar best actor winner
This is funny.
@Ivan Renard Tom wasn't acting in this film. It was his own biopic.
These old ladies on bikes look more badass than Dom in Fast and Furious.
I would watch a whole movie about the grandmas on bikes

So I haven't seen the first Mad Max movie, but the second one ended with a group of people driving away from the wasteland to find a better world elsewhere. The third one ended with a group of people *flying* away from the wasteland to find a better world elsewhere.
It feels very deliberate that the fourth sets up, again, people leaving the wasteland to find a better world elsewhere, only for Max to turn them around and say: No, let's go back and take control of the world we have.
So the director said the plot for Fury Road was based on his own life. While he loved the series he spent his life trying to get away from it and do other kinds of films. Eventually he and his wife had retired and they were disappointed that retirement was just hanging out with a bunch of old ladies. He decided he DID want to return to Mad Max. This film is about he and his wife, who edited the film, deciding to return to the series with a triumph.
When he said "It'll be a hard day.." I really felt heavy.
I think of this exact line often and use it when prepping myself and loved ones for a major tribulation...the words themselves are in a way an attempt to play down just how challenging what is it to come may be...but that's the point...its the simple acceptance that what is coming is going to may be awful but its not insurmountable and there is a way through.
It becomes a Hardy day instead
In such cases, we say: the eyes are afraid - the hands do.
The cake-decorating company Wilton makes a decorative "Color Mist" in silver that is meant to be sprayed onto baked goods to give them a silver sheen. Before May 2015, the Amazon listing for this product contained a few pages of reviews only from bakers opining on the quality of the product when used as intended (on cakes). After the release of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), both the comments section and FAQ on the Amazon listing were filled with comments from users posting as though they were War Boys or Immortan Joe "reviewing" the product that the War Boys spray onto their mouths before going into battle. As of mid-June 2015, there were nineteen pages of Mad Max-related "reviews" of the Wilton product on Amazon.
Now that's great marketing lmaoo
Thanks so much for sharing !

All great characters, male and female.
Nux still the best character. Max and Furiosa are boring compared to him.

I love that George wrote the women as giving their input, adding to the plan. It wasn’t just a guy going “yep this is it and here’s why alright move out.”
The whole movie had a very strong feminist vibe to begin with. It's a good thing
Didnt know anyone cared if it was a woman or not
It`s simply good writting and threating characters like they have character.
@@randomchannel50 when you're a woman and you're used to badly written female characters in movies, you care.
It's awesome how George Miller could create a tough action hero surviving a wasteland while encountering both the best and worst in humanity, but still dabble in such kiddie things like Babe The Pig and Happy Feet.
2:26 "At least that way you know, we might be able to... together... come across some kind of _redemption."_
Jesus, this movie is so full of set ups and payoffs that work so well.
The score when they shake hands gives me chills every time
Max on a bike seems so natural I'm surprised George Miller didn't do it in the original films.
He DRESSES like a biker.
You do know that his family was killed by a biker gang, *right?*
He wasn’t a bike Cop he was a street Cop in a car.
Love this scene so much.
Especially his explanation of the plan and the gesture to symolize the explosion 1:27
At least that way we might be able to, together, come across some kind of redemption
The way he delivers that line sounds ever so slightly... romantic
Love how this a emotional journey for both Max and Furiosa.
1:35 That laugh from Max(Tom Hardy) lookes like a blooper lol.
hahahhaha lol agree
I thought it was a bit out of character, but again he's always improvising.
His humanity was coming back just by fighting for people he genuinely cared for. So I'm glad it was showing. Good character development
So much beautiful scene, relationship between Max & Furiosa is wonderful. There is also the scene when Max cures Furiosa, so much beautiful.
I really can’t get the thought out that Nux looks like idubbbz
oh, that Franku video
but has Nux eaten dumpster chickens or sewer pickles?
I can't stand the people who say it's not a real Mad Max movie because Max doesn't talk much.
He has a complete arc where he goes from wild scavenger back to the police officer he used to be.
It's a gorgeous character in this movie alone.
He didn't talk much in Road Warrior either, and that was arguably the best movie.
I once said I thought Tom Hardy's accent sucked for this movie. Then a friend informed me that he's English.
CJ Snyder it feels like he is dubbed
I think all of his lines in this movie has been dubbed or artificially changed in someway because he doesn't sound like Tom Hardy.
EJK k No, it's his voice, it's basically Bane without the mask. Max is just depicted as losing his Australian accent in the film.
There is lesson for get rid of your language accent
Robert - Yea, I think you're right, that it was probably a deliberate decision to scale-back an Aussie accent to demonstrate how the character, in his self-imposed exile, has spoken so little that he has lost an accent. Because 1) the rest of the film is so tightly-made with attention to little details that George Miller wouldn't have overlooked a bad accent in his lead; 2) we KNOW that Tom Hardy, if he wanted to, could easily have done a great and noticeable Aussie accent, given how his amazing 19th Century American accent in "The Revenant" proved he's great with voices.
(However, there's one point in the final chase sequence where Max tells Nux to "unhook the tanker" with a much heavier Aussie accent that reminded me quite a bit of Mel Gibson in The Road Warrior)
I'm glad there was no romance between Max and Furiosa. That would have ruined this movie.
because the movie is very well written, there is no need for romance if the characters works well enough as friends, there is movies that dont know a man and a woman can be just friends, furiosa has been oppresed all her life by men, max can not get attached to anything because of the fear of losing it, there is not real reason why they should end up together.
Max’s voice is so gritty
Why every scene of this movie is so good.
This movie is so badass even when there isn't any action on screen
Charli is such a beauty omg, not just a beauty, but a badass. And not just her looks, he facial features, but her. She has talent man, good acting, and good acting comes from experience with emotion, she has a strong heart man, to convey that level or lethality and savagery yet compassion and love all at once. Tom Hardy is a badass and hes a fav of mine but, and he played a great role, being a man amongst women trying to flee, he was actually a likable person for them after a while, it almost as if he was regaining his humanity by helping these women. But Charli and her mission to save these broads was the emotion of the entire movie, kept the reason true, her objective was so critical you pretty as the viewer jumped to support her before you even knew what she was planning, thats good story telling.
Look, it’ll be a hard day.
That was an understatement. In my soft life now, I often say this when things get difficult. I know that at the end, the rewards will be worth it. But I have to endure.
The nods and the smiles
every single shot of this movie is so chilling
I can see Tom Hardy as a new Bond.
He gotta break the expectations that Craig left.
Well he be much better than a black woman. What a joke.
After watching this movie, I'm kinda attracted to women with short hair...
Fair enough.
And missing limbs?
It’s Charlize Theron, being attracted to her is a condition common to all who are attracted to women. And probably a few people that aren’t, to be honest.
@@dav5666 not a full limb, she can do things with the stump
Quick! To the cancer ward!
I just love this movie
a lot of this score with the cello reminds me of Dark Knight
amazing how this movie still works considering their entire trek goes in a straight line to and back
Great music score.
Max: "Let's not stand on ceremony here, Furiosa!"
This Scene is so full of Hope...the Forst Step to Victory
"We don't need another hero, we don't need to know the way home"
*Turns out they needed both*
2:45 It was at that moment they became unstoppable.
The line where Max guarantees that the rest of the land is just salt.. he's been across the wasteland and back
Prolly best mad max movie
Great acting in this scene. In this particular scene, the acting shines as it effortless and natural.
0:23 Looky, looky, there's Nux in the back.
This scene has new context thanks to Furiosa movie. Hope is important to her and it’s probably what convinced her to go with it.
I loved Furiosa, it was awesome
Fury Road and Furiosa are the best 1-2 punch in science fiction since Lucas did New Hope and ESB.
I do think Max and Furiosa love each other so much. This is the great love between man and woman I want to feel
Max lived then died and now lives again.
The most memorable part of the movie.
My God what a scene. At least that way, you know, we might be able to, together, come across some kind of redemption!!! Amazing!!!
I love that handshake! It’s sooo cool und 80ies😎
I love how theron being the hottie she is, pulled these great unorthodox characters...
This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie to be honest.
there needs to be another mad Max movie
Tom Hardy delivered those lines so effectively. 👌
LOVE this moment
Great moment great man
The moment where he turns into the Max from Road Warrior.
The Mad Max game was amazing but it was missing bikes.

I watch every Tom Hardy movie. This was one of the best movie I saw in a long time.
Unbelievable!!!!!!
Love the ending the nods
A movie made, not just OK, but good, by the acting of Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.
The only smiles
Thanks mad max I like your moving
1:15 "I suggest we go back the same way we came."
Ballsier words have never been spoken.
There's no country on Earth where you could drive for 160 days in one direction LOL
That's because no countries really exist anymore! The oceans are dried up, that's why it's called "the salt". she's not driving across Australia, she's basically heading across the dried up ocean to get to Asia or Africa. this confused me at first too, but the comics explain how no oceans exist anymore :)

Great movie. Underrated af
I like the complicity between Max AND the old woman caboom!
"Kaboom!"
*Max pointing "this lady gets it"*
my favorite scene in the movie.
0:40 Tom did his Bane voice for a second there lol
Dialogue delivery of Tom hardy🔥🔥🔥.
One of the few movies where you can understand what he's saying.
I could here some Bane voice coming through when he says "yeah" at 0:38
It's the only time I smile
This movie is just like old days.
The end where thats guy died was sad
I love the Score of this movie
What happens next will blow your mind!
That one old woman who says "i like this plan" looks like an Argonian from Oblivion lol.
Masterpiece !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look, it'll be a hard day. But I guarantee you that a hundred and sixty days' ride that way... there's nothing but salt. [points back] At least that way, we might be able to... together... come across some kind of redemption.
I'm not going to deny the accent choice is ... well, who knows?

But the acting is so damn solid.

Damn even the grandmas are badass
feels like hope
I think this is one of Tom's best movie ever. 🎬 he pretty much have the best new film there is including venom 🥰
He sounds like the chief if he were to try
I know there is some site from the director that says Fury Road is after Thunderdome, but why does it seem that Fury Road based on continuity is after The Road Warrior.
Top be honest, I don't think anyone really knows when Fury road is set.
@@OfficerFriendly2006 yeah, the timeline doesn't add up, given that the brides were apparently born in this dead world. If Max had been played by Mel, then it would line up with the previous movies.
But, anyway, we got one of the best action movies of all time.
Who designed those bikes and cars
It'll be a hard day.
Just so we're clear, if they drove about 12 hours a day at about 30 miles an hour, in 160 days they'd cover 57,000 miles. That's more than double the circumference of the Earth. Which means-this movie takes place on an alien planet.
It might just be metaphorical, in that the world is ruined everywhere. Wherever they drive, the world is going to be desolate. There's no better world anywhere.
Eddie Brock we love you
1:19, it is? I thought the biker gang blocked it off back when they were still in the canyon
Ahh, got it. Thank you.
