Who cares? I may be on a different part of UA-cam than usual, but using the dark scary music for memes around an office sounds kind of offensive in its skew towards censorship. They sounded hilariously mean and outrageous, with the pictures and stuff, but come on.

I honestly hope we have another Jedi Knight game, Kyle's been ignored for too long now. I know it's asking for the same character story but the Jedi Knight games really hold a place in my heart as one of the best Series from Star Wars.
Honestly, as a new canon fan to you (who I'm assuming is a Legends fan) I don't think we're gonna get more old canon characters like Kyle, Mara, or Starkiller getting reintroduced to new canon
Delta Squad and Darth Bane were saved by the bell with Clone Wars, Thrawn came back because he's just a universally beloved character and Filoni always wanted to use him, and we're probably gonna get a KOTOR trilogy or series in a decade or so since the game just goes beyond being a Star Wars property
But other than them, Lucasfiilm has been focused on fleshing out the High Republic era, Marvel is currently focused on bridging Empire and Jedi while trying to fit TROS into the timeline and paying off Solo as best they can since the movie bombed, and letting Filoni, Gilroy, and others loose on all the shows
Everyone seems to be wanting to make their own Star Wars instead of adapting the old EU like Filoni

Thanks for the recap video. I completely forgot about that Quantic Dream game lol. for real tho, I just miss the variety SW games used to have. Seems like every new SW game is an expensive epic about a rougish human protag and their cute, easy to make toys of, companion. I'd be curious to check out that Xcom-like game maybe, but eeehhh. I miss games that let me create a character, or shit like podracer that had nothing to do with shooting or lightsabers.

I just want a new Star Wars game focused on a Sith or Imperials. Or both. I'm really REALLY tired of seeing this galaxy through the lens of a Rebel/Jedi.

I had no idea about everything that happened with Quantic Dream holy shit.
The compilation of the disappointment from the QD logo was caused more by the realization that the game would be a typical interactive movie, which is what each of QD's games is, and not by all these behind-the-scenes dirty underwear, which real gamers are not concerned about. Accusing your boss, or a more successful colleague of rape, abuse, and everything that is trending at a given time is a traditional fun of the Western game dev.

I'm so glad Disney immediately shut down beloved studio *LucasArts* upon their acquisition on LucasFilms, and chose instead to *wisely* associate themselves with some of the most toxic, troubled, and terrible Gaming creators working in the industry like EA, UbiSoft, Quantic Dream, and Aspyr...
I swear Disney's goal has been to destroy the Star Wars IP completely, and I have no idea why.
EA's exclusivity to the licence was the most treacherous spit in the face I've ever seen.

You wanna know why we never got Battlefront 3 or Republic Commandos 2? Why Force Unleashed 2 was so goddamn short and half-assed?
Because they licensed out Battlefront 3 to Free Radical and communication was so goddamn poor the game was scrapped when it was 99% complete, the company was in the middle of restructuring under new leadership around the time the Republic Commando team was pitching sequel ideas and by the time restructuring was done the team all left, and not only did they force Force Unleashed 2 into development they deadlined it to a fall 2011 release date so it couldn't be ironed out and polished like the first game was.
Disney didn't want to handle that mess

Them holding KOTOR hostage is kinda smart. They can claim both that the current route of workforce wouldn't do the original justice for years which is a lackluster argument when we currently have many large AA games in pre release playability for a decade plus. The other thing.. Umm. They don't have another excuse! Play the first game, take notes, remake it. Remake = re-recreate an already finished product to appeal to the current audience. How people can fox that formula up is kinda surprising.
I hope they revive the cancelled Darth Maul game at some point.

I honestly miss the star wars force unleashed games. They had really catchy gameplay mechanics. Physics effects, force powers, lightsaber combat, destructive environment objects, etc. *i just miss straight to the point jedi star wars games

Didn't know about the situation with Eclipse's development. Definitely not buying the game when it comes out if that's the case. Honestly when it comes to new Star Wars games with the exception of the Jedi games unless we ever get Force Unleashed III, KOTOR III, or Battlefront III and IV I'm not interested in buying it.

It’s absolutely wild how The High Republic is one of the most inclusive and amazingly diverse parts of the Star Wars universe, but we’re getting a game written by David “Quantic Dream doesn’t make games for f**s” Cage set in that era. It is mind bogglingly out of touch.

I don’t care all I want is Battlefront 3, maybe I’ll play those other ones a little bit but EASILY the most capable company to make a Star Wars game is EA, and Batllefront EASILY has to the most potential to be the best Star Wars game of all time. If EA wasn’t so lazy

I really hope they can sort the kinks out on both KOTOR and Eclipse. I think a story-driven game in the High Republic is a great idea.

The only recent Star Wars game I was interested in and played was Star Wars Squadrons. It was pretty good but nearly requires a VR headset. It made me consider buying one for a bit. It had some decent post release support for a bit but... it needed much more. There are some technical, balancing, and exploit-related issues that really needed to be ironed out if the game is to have a long life. There is nearly zero chance of that happening now. I hope for a solid successor or maybe the release of mod tools for the community. Modding is not really a thing that Star Wars games will really support anymore I suppose.

Because there are already enough books and comics covering this time period. Also, we had Battlefront II: Resurection and Tales from the Galaxy's Edge, so that's not entirely true.
I'm sorry but Outlaws' protagonist is just so uninspired. It's like Ubisoft looked at the concepts for Galaxy's Edge where the artists portrayed potential guests wearing stereotypical Star Wars garb and said "yes that's exactly what we're looking for". Just a female Han Solo. Same mannerisms, same outfit, same gunslinger persona. Just Gen X creatives' continued obsession with the most normie idea of what Star Wars is and should be instead of trying to explore other themes and character archetypes.
And an opportunity to have a game set in legends gets thrown in the trash.
I will at least give them props for trying to start brand new stories. Not all are remakes.
But will probably ultimately be just shameless rip offs/watered down versions of legends material like they have done with just about all their movies, tv shows, books, and comics.

@@Lr.Laecro.Lirus3445 there is a diffirence between non-canon and "Legends" title. Both are licensied fanfictions, but one has a proper timeline, its own canon and multi-media projects that even involved George Lucas himself, others are essentially short au-esque stories, that are just happened to be in star wars setting.

I'd like a remake of Star Wars: Rebellion. I still rather play that than Empire at War.
Rebellion felt like playing Chess where you had to plan for a long time before executing a multi-prong strategy.
While EaW felt like playing Chex. No, not checkers, Chex: a poorly thought of game made by a 3 year old between breakfast and nap time.
Not everyone likes 4X games. Empire at War is fun because you can create epic space battles (ground battles are lame but mods make them more interesting). If you want to play the game you describe, then find a Star Wars mod for any 4X game made in the last 20 years like Stellaris, for example. I prefer RTS games and EAW will always be a fun time to me.
@@TSL73 I disagree. Stellaris is a very different game in terms of mechanics. The Diplomacy, flight system and pacing is very different.
I played EaW when it first came out and it was an unplayable mess in every aspect. Space and Ground battles, resource and fleet management and fleet strategy. It was an unplayable mess. Requiring modders to fix your game is unacceptable.
