What a blast you boys had, despite weather conditions. Dan, you are so lucky to be spending quality time with your dad, long may it continue. have a healthy, happy new year, and, like me, I'm sure all your other faithful followers are looking forward to the uploads of 2024. Thank you for sharing your photography experiences with us. Phil.
Thanks very much Phil for your kind words and continued support. I really do cherish every second being out with Pops especially after losing my Mum 5 years ago. Time is precious ❤️
Happy New Tear Dan and Pops Great video as all ways love the Sparrow hawks Photographed them my self in march 2023 in a hide loved it. Love the Channel all the best from Ireland Dave
Thanks very much Dave, really appreciate your comment and support. Always nice to read a comment from a viewer in Ireland, a place I’d love to visit 👍🏻
Great images Dan, looks like you had a great day back with the sparrowhawks, despite the storm. That hide looks so rewarding I think I want to live in it!
Thanks very much Johan, really appreciate your comment. The hide is a fantastic setup with almost guaranteed sparrowhawk visits, I’m not surprised you’d like to live in it 😂
Brilliant Dan, very enjoyable, must put this place on my bucket list! I’m of to the Peak District next week after the mountain hares, hope this rain stops 🤞
Thanks very much Andy, I’d definitely recommend a visit. Let me know how you get on with the hares, I’ve struggled to find them last few times I’ve been up there. All the very best 👍🏻
Thanks Laurence. I totally agree with you that the worst days photography beats a day of work! TBH I’ve enjoyed photographing in the rain, it’s pushed me to try new techniques and try different ideas. All the very best for 2024 👍🏻
Merci pour cette vidéo et les belles photos et toujours l'humour en plus. Bravo à Pops. Je vous souhaite une bonne année 2024 , et beaucoup de rencontre photographique. Amicalement Michel
Another great vid Dan, certainly is whetting my appetite come June - Just hope I can get a Day booked over the 3 days in Cumbria. Well done to Pops on his 'crowning glory'. Nice to see there is a good chance of mammalian subjects too. any way, Happy New year to both Yourself and Pops. Maybe our paths can cross someday, ps - Got some Waxwing shots from a garden centre nearby to me.
Thanks very much, I always appreciate your comments and support. If you’ve not yet booked your day in the hide I would contact Stephen and Linda via their facebook page. They do get very busy at peak times. I’m certain our paths will cross at some point. All the very best for 2024 👍🏻
Another great video, cracking photos and I love the humour you both share. I'm definitely voting for you next time Dan, simply to see you with the crown on lol. Shame about the weather but I like the predator shots with the rain.
Thanks very much, always appreciate your comments and support. We will definitely be running a few more versus videos this year and hopefully I might beat the master one day. All the very best for 2024 👍🏻
Happy new year guys, as always another very entertaining video great banter not sure about the singing though 😁,must say you wouldn't get me out in that weather 😂 but then I would miss out on those cracking images of the Sparrowhawk covered in rain. BTW Dan are you still classed as a Novice😂😂 at our club Xmas party we had a look through the last few years of the L&CPU Novice cup which we won in 2021, now called the Bob Robinson Trophy and a few of your images came up so me and my friends had a good laugh at that as it's aimed at people with little experience so it's no wonder Pop's is the King with you being a novice😂😂😂. Keep up the great work Dan always look forward to your videos and seeing where you get to as it gives us ideas of where to go ourselves.👍
Thanks very much Kevin, really appreciate it. I think you are classed as a novice within the L&CPU until you get initials after your name but I could be mistaken. Was that the Mountain Hare photo you saw? Which club are you in? It’s great to hear from fellow L&CPU members. All the very best for 2024 👍🏻
@@danwillis_photography Yes Dan you are correct I was just taking the Micky with you being a very good Wildlife photographer, I am a member of Bebington PS on the Wirral with two others who watch your channel. We have picked up on a couple of venues to try from watching your videos as I mentioned in a previous post we have booked a couple of days down at the Fox hides. Keep up the good work mate and give our best to Pops.👍
@@Kevin-vg9lt that’s fantastic Kevin, Dave’s Fox Hide experience really is something else. You’re not a million miles away so no doubt we will cross paths at some point. All the very best mate 👍🏻
I've been using the 180-600mm on my Z8 for the last 6 weeks and it's such a great lens. First outing with the lens was Donna Nook after watching your video of the seals. Since then got some nice images of owls in the wild as well. I really enjoyed the Dan vs. Pops video (hoping you will do more of that). Your channel is much more entertaining and educational than TV/Netflix etc.
Thanks very much for your kind words, they’re really appreciated. I’m glad that you are enjoying the 180-600mm I think it’s an absolutely fantastic lens that’s flexibility and sharpness make it a real all rounder. I’ve not been to Donna Nook this year which must be the first time since Covid for not going. Sounds like you have had some great experiences. All the very best for 2024 👍🏻
Yet another brilliant video Dan and Pops. Great pictures and yet another place for our bucket list :D All the best to you both for 2024. John and Natalie.
Had my fix for this Sunday evening, another entertaining video from you two guys, don't give up your day jobs though, don't think you will make opportunity knocks or the voice. Considering the weather conditions you pulled another one out the bag, you've put some cracking footage out from that spot along with the humour, looking forward next years outings. Sparrow hawks are having a field day in the garden at the moment with so much on the feeders. Well done guys, happy new year to you and your families, cheers Derek.
Thanks very much Derek, we are definitely not going into the singing business 😂😂😂 Really appreciate your continued support throughout 2023 and look forward to hearing from you throughout this year. All the very best 👍🏻
Another hide for the bucket list Dan and another superb video. Is that the Alan McFadyen hide? been a great year following your channel Dan and here’s to loads more in 24. Happy New Year. Ian 😃
Thanks very much Ian, for some reason your comment was held as inappropriate so only just seen this. It was at Cumbria Woodland Photography Hide just outside Cockermouth, well worth a visit. Thanks very much for all your comments and continued support it really is appreciated
Great video. Loved all of the shots and looked like a great day out. Good to see Pops there too! Look forward to the next one - Happy New Year to you both.
