Hi Abraham, this is very good information as so many people will benefit from this.As travel is so important and done regularly for a lot of people. You are a excellent pharmacist and worth your weight in gold. Many thanks and much success is wished for you. Thank you for video and blessings and greetings and hugs.x
Kudos for the video content! Sorry for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Patlarny Games Earning Principle (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for treating varicose Veins without the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my friend at very last got excellent results with it.
I can't thank you enough for this video. Other travel videos were getting me really scared of DVT during long flights. Your video removed my fear AND gave me helpful tips. Thank you!
Hi how are you? How long your flight? Does your doctor allowed you to fly? Please reply.. thanks. I and my husband gonna fly soon but his doctor told him its too risky for him to fly longer hour.😢
Great video as per usual. Love all the new shots you've used. I'll be sure to take on these tips as I'm going on a long haul flight. Thanks for the tips!!
Thank you for the information, it helps, I was recommended by my doctor to by those socks and it real helped me and even at my work it real helped. I had very bad experiences because my legs pains and swell, some people where saying is because of my age, however I realize that blood clot can be catching person in respective of your age.

Recently, I was diagnosed with a DVT and PE three weeks after flying. No history, no risk factors, statistically shouldn't have happened. Hospital doc could only estimate that COVID infection two weeks before the flight led to coagulation irregularity that left me vulnerable to DVT on XC / 6 hr flights.
I do have History of DVT Blood Clot I do take Warfan Pill for My DVT Blood Clots before I take a long plane trip I do make sur get a Good Night Sleep and take a 30 to 40 minutes Nap and drink planty of Fluidce like Water or Juicy from Tom P Noonan

make sure you get up and walk at least 3 times to the restroom sitting down for 10 hours straight will defienly cause a blood clot or if not a blood clot a very bad cramp

Truly the whole pharmacist community is proud of the efforts you put in making theses videos. Your always making pharmacists feel proud of their profession.
I have a friend that has bruise on the inside of his right wrist. It's also dry skin on the surface area of the bruise. He said it happens when he flies and he did just fly on vacation not too long ago. He doesn't know what it is. Can one have DVT on the wrist? 🤔
Using compression stocking all the time is not healthy- doctors don't advice them- reather do these exercises every hour and put your legs above your heart level for 5 mins every hour. If you can lay on your back- and do some cycling movements on the back- is the best. And hydrate, hydrate and hydrate.
Many thanks for the video. Two weeks too late for me, but well noted. I have a real, live question for you: If you travel (let's say on a 12-hour flight), and experience a DVT/pulmonary embolism (let's say, peripheral location, but both lungs), there is a 50% chance it occurs after your outward journey. I imagine most people want to return home when they are unwell, so once you are stabilized on your anti-coagulant treatment (let's say, after 1 week of Xarelto [rivaroxaban]), how long should you wait before attempting to return home (i.e. by plane)? And should you just keep pacing up and down the plane, drinking water for the entire 12 hours? Many thanks.
Hi Tim thanks for commenting, slightly more difficult question to what I am used to on UA-cam. Will find out more information and get back to you via Twitter message.
Thanks Abraham. Your answer may be helpful to others in the future. In my case, after an initial two weeks of anti-coagulant treatment I have been declared 'fit to fly' by my doctors in Thailand and can return home to the UK. They told me the standard policy is to allow PE sufferers to fly after a minimum of five days anti-coagulant treatment, but in my case extended it to two weeks because of some persistent chest pain/signs. BTW, I am also really grateful to Thai Airways, who allowed me to upgrade to business class for the journey back to London, given the circumstances.

These socks are thighter at the bottom- and less and less tighter higher up- with that they suppose to help the back and up flow of the blood. But there are different legs- and if your leg is not a standard one- they can work against the blood flow- so you have to ask for a tailered compressure sock only for you. Or not to wear any.

How “recent” is recent in the medical world? Does four years count as recent?
Tell me what kind of compression stocking I can use as a flight attendant. 🙏

@@AbrahamThePharmacist your informations are so useful. Thank you. 🙏
Why would you wear tight socks but then wear loose clothes? Seems antithetical to me.
Get drunk on a plane you're not flying so don't worry.
