What’s the world coming to, as I find myself re-listening to songs by Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy?? I’m afraid the world is getting scarier and I am definitely getting old!! 🤣
I saw him in an episode of Emergency where he played an arrogant doctor who gets forced to spend a day with paramedics to see how tough they have it. Ironically, he became a paramedic in real life.
I agree. That's why I watched the video to see how tight his pants were. 😂. The song brought back memories. I didn't remember how it went until I heard it again. This is on response to momokoblue8032.
Whoa! I remember loving this song when I was just 10 years old! At that age, you don't really know or are interested in the performers themselves, but Now, I'm Amazed at what a Great person that Bobby Sherman's been all these years; he's been a Police officer, a Paramedic, a guy that believed Helping people was Far More Important than being a Celebrity, & it's good knowing that in those days, he was, & Still is Very Appreciative to his fans. God Bless You Bobby!

I must admit, I had my first crush (at age 7!) on him, and now I truly realize he was more than just a cute guy, he had a legitimately fine voice for pop songs. Today, I try to listen to current vocalists, who all sing from the throat/nose and sound identical. Their recordings are so over-produced and their voices altered by "sweeteners" and the dreaded auto-tune that there are mighty few of them that could sell a song like this with nothing but a mic and a back-up band. Plus, 90% of the stuff coming out is instantly forgettable crap, barely suitable to fit the actual definition of a song. Thanks for sharing this!
I also find that I listen to songs in the past that I thought of as "naff" and find that I like them because I can hear every word and instrument as opposed to today in that everything is autotuned and over produced and forgettable. In other words, I agree with everything you say.
I was in love with Bobby Sherman when I was a little girl. I'm now a few months away from turning 62. I haven't heard this song in years but for some reason I just thought of it, & had to listen to it...
@lorrainethepain...I am a straight man going on 73. How I remember those days and all those teen magazines. David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman were good looking dudes. Just to think that I would have traded places with Bobby back then. Looking back now and realizing the things these young people must have gone through is challenging. All that 'fluff' and stuff. 🥴
Just the fact that there was a lyric that stated "I was a chump" says loads about accountability which is something that is seriously lacking in today's culture.
I was 5 when this song came out. I used to carry around a small transistor radio with me. No matter who crappy things were for me, every time I'd turn on the radio and this song would come on the sweet sound of Bobby's voice used to wipe the pain away. Thank you, Bobby. :)

Hello Bobby. I fell in love with you when I was 8 yrs old. I'm sure you do t read these but just incase you do. I'm 62 now and just found this on utube. Hope you are well and happy. Just had to say that I made a scrapbook of you when I was 8 with all your pictures and had you all over my bedroom. I'm sure many people have said this to you over the years. How strange it must be for you to live a normal life now and to look back at those years. Anyway I remember you from my youth- I was obsessed with you- that's what kids do. I hope you are happy and well and thank you for those happy memories.
"She wasn't kind, I wasn't smart. I lost my mind, and cut a fart." That was how I used to sing this song when it came out in 1970. I was 7, my two sisters were 11 and 12, and I had to hear this record ten times a day. My dad thought I was funny, my mom used an 18" ruler on me. Oh, the generational differences!!!! LOL!!!!
His singing and his songs really hold up. I remember his records on the back of Post cereal boxes. I had most of them, and played them all the time. I especially remember this one and "La La La."
I was a teen when I was blessed to see him in concert. 8th row tickets! And, I sewed a new dress in a pretty voile fabric just for the occasion, hoping he would spot me in the crowd. Yes, I had HUGE crush on him. Loved him in "Here Come the Brides".
Fifty years ago today on March 22nd, 1970, Bobby Sherman's "Easy Come, Easy Go" peaked at #2 {for 4 weeks} on Billboard's 'Easy Listening Top 40'* chart, for it's first two weeks at #2, the #1 record for both those weeks was "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel, for it's 3rd and 4th weeks at #2, "Let It Be" by the Beatles was in the top spot... And at the time "Easy Come, Easy Go" was at #12 on Billboard's Top 100 chart... "Easy Come, Easy Go" was Bobby Sherman's first of three of his records to peak #2 on the Easy Listening chart, his two other #2 records were "Julie, Do Ya Love Me" for two weeks in September of 1970 and "The Drum" for two weeks in May of 1971... Bobby Sherman, born Robert Cabot Sherman Jr., will celebrate his 77th birthday in four months on July 22nd, 2020... * And from the 'For What It's Worth' department, the remainder of the Easy Listening's Top 10 on March 22nd, 1970: At #3. "Kentucky Rain' by Elvis Presley #4. "All I Have To Do Is Dream" by Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell #5. "Temma Harbour" by Mary Hopkin #6. "Rainy Night In Georgia" by Brook Benton #7. "My Elusive Dreams" by Bobby Vinton #8. "Long Lonesome Highway" by Michael Parks #9. "Brighton Hill" by Jackie DeShannon #10. "I Would Be In Love" (Anyway)" by Frank Sinatra
"Kentucky Rain" and "Rainy Night In Georgia" are both good songs to listen to if you are in a solitary mood or feel like you need a good cry. "Riders On The Storm" and the above mentioned songs are good if you are just in a rainy day mood. Bobby Sherman on the other hand puts me in a good mood. I always loved his songs and alot of "Bubblegum" artists like 1910 Fruitgum Co. and Ohio Express. I don't find "Bubblegum" a bad term. I considered everyone from Donny Osmond to Lou Christie to Tony Orlando & Dawn bubblegum because they were all sweet, fun and were a great part of growing up.
I remember as a little girl 'loving' Bobby Sherman. When I watch this...it brings back all those giddy feelings inside. It's awesome. I saw pics of him from a couple years ago....still looking good...without botox and surgery!!!!
Fuming Riley not only was his coloring gorgeous but he had this perpetual smile. I saw him live when I was 16. The girls were all nuts. I liked the way he looked but his costumes & music weren't my favorite. He acted embarrassed about how stupid the girls acted. He was 28 or something at the time. I heard once he lost part of his hearing from screaming girls & he thought for a time he was going crazy , just wanted out I think. He enjoyed the money I'm sure but the adoration sort of got to him after a while.
Bobby Sherman was my first crush. I loved him on Here Comes the Brides. I had his posters all over my wall and I still have his albums. However, ... then arrived David Cassidy....,.and Bobby was soon replaced. I am glad he chose a different life and appears to have made wise decisions. I wish David followed the same path.
The bass player on all those Sherman sessions with all those monstrous roller-coaster melodic bass runs driving the music forward. Love that bubble-gum-pop.
I used to listen to this after I went to bed in 69/70 If I was in bed after 8:30 I was in trouble. My folks were very strict but allowed me to listen to the radio all night. It had to be turned down all the way and you could still hear the music if the door was open. WLS-KAAY and believe it or not WBAP played Bobby's music then. Music and memories that last a lifetime.

Loved him in the tv show, "Here come the brides."
One of the best of the teen idols of the 60s and 70s. Happy Birthday Bobby Sherman! You sure sing good!!!!
LOL!!!!
Yep 7 in either 2nd or 3rd was when our minds were warped. Either b u t t or who farted lol
Just about the same story, except one sister. God' what we had to endure with this guy!! lol
DRStidom Classic ! I was born in 1963 myself 🌈
DRStidom LOL! Thanks for sharing that memory!
that made me laugh out loud. What a beautiful, beautiful memory roflmao!
Back in the day I never missed here comes the brides. I loved that show. I had a crush on Bobby Sherman. ❤❤❤❤❤
I still got one of his albums on vinyl! I love his voice! He is such a great singer! My favorite song!
Love this video. Thanks for posting. Such a beautiful guy. Bobby you still bring a smile to my face when I hear your songs on the radio.
Loved the fringed sleeves and leather pants, and the way he danced. I was madly in love when I was twelve years old. LOL!
HOW DOES HE LIVE IF HE DONATES HIS PAYCK?
Me too Susan I was also twelve!
@@REMNANTRising2005 I guess he made enough money from singing that he doesn't need it?
So cute and sexy. Had posters on my wall of him and loved him with a passion. thanks for this video. love this man and still do today and I am 59.
😃
Classic 🌈 the guy had like a 28 inch waist ....my older cousin loved Bobby 🎶 I was 7 in 1970 💖
Definition of what a goooood looooking guy looks like ; We didn’t know at ALL what we had back then … 👍
Fifty years ago today on March 22nd, 1970, Bobby Sherman's "Easy Come, Easy Go" peaked at #2 {for 4 weeks} on Billboard's 'Easy Listening Top 40'* chart, for it's first two weeks at #2, the #1 record for both those weeks was "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel, for it's 3rd and 4th weeks at #2, "Let It Be" by the Beatles was in the top spot...
* And from the 'For What It's Worth' department, the remainder of the Easy Listening's Top 10 on March 22nd, 1970:
At #3. "Kentucky Rain' by Elvis Presley
#4. "All I Have To Do Is Dream" by Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell
#5. "Temma Harbour" by Mary Hopkin
#6. "Rainy Night In Georgia" by Brook Benton
#7. "My Elusive Dreams" by Bobby Vinton
#8. "Long Lonesome Highway" by Michael Parks
#9. "Brighton Hill" by Jackie DeShannon
@@tuxitalk1World I agree.
This is real music compared to what they call it now
who remembers his character (on Here Comes The Brides), had Bobby STUTTERING for extra cuteness, I guess. Great and fine gent!
Nothing so clever and cute anymore.
I loved him so much, his was the very first album I ever bought with my babysitting money!
Let me guess, that album probably cost about $3.99? 45s were about 69 cents in 1970.
can you at least be gracious? Damn. I loved this song. Please stop.
+SpaXpert Just Here I like the song too! I was just pointing out what records cost at the time, that's all.
They were pretty cheap back then. Actually, it must have been my allowance, I was too young to babysit. Could even have been $2.99..
I remember as a little girl 'loving' Bobby Sherman. When I watch this...it brings back all those giddy feelings inside. It's awesome. I saw pics of him from a couple years ago....still looking good...without botox and surgery!!!!
That dance. Everyone thinks Axl Rose invented it! Nope!
Same with Michael Jackson, Bob Fosse was the one that Michael learned it from
He was a great singer
I have NO idea why, but I got this song stuck in my head at work a few days ago...hadn't heard it for probably 38 years...
A lot of girls, including me, had a big crush on him due to his extreme cuteness!
What a handsome SMILE!
The guy was good looking no doubt, check out 1:45 to 1:60, no wonder the teenage girls went crazy over him.
@@itsjustrenee1320 Proves he was a humble man.
Oh, you KNOW it!!
Everybody loves Bobby Sherman!
Not everyone
+PurpleFlameFox So you know this guy or something??
2degucitas Yea, he is my uncle
revin togo I liked a few of his songs, im bob too btw 😌
He is so kind to everyone as well. What a rare trait these days!
The bass player on all those Sherman sessions with all those monstrous roller-coaster melodic bass runs driving the music forward. Love that bubble-gum-pop.
he was one of my "first" "crushes -
I used to listen to this after I went to bed in 69/70 If I was in bed after 8:30 I was in trouble. My folks were very strict but allowed me to listen to the radio all night.
It had to be turned down all the way and you could still hear the music if the door was open. WLS-KAAY and believe it or not WBAP played Bobby's music then.
Music and memories that last a lifetime.
I can relate Trailboy 👍
