Dysmantle is an underrated classic I didn't even know it was 2 player omg 😂😂😂 beat half the game ps plus subscription gave out but it's only 20 bucks so imma give it a go with the Wife 😂😂
Because so many people scream for Single player experiences, not realizing that you should be able to enjoy a game by yourself but also with a friend if you choose to. Having more options to play a game you love is best. I love co op. I can’t stand the people who only want single player games. No, make more games that give you the feel of a single player experience but with the option of experiencing a campaign with another person. Those are games I love.
People are so starved for couch co-op that they actually believe that all these dungeon crawlers with almost the same camera angle and same battle mechanics are fun. You'd think, post pandemic, that there'd be more split screen and local co-op games than this. Nintendo switch is killing it though, they're moving in the right direction.
Until PS6 comes out, please do keep making these videos! I’m planning to buy PS5 for my little brother and I am planning to play any co-op games with him! 🙏
Unhinged corporate dystopia happened. Every decision is driven by profit. Why would I as a developer make a couch co-op game? For the love of gaming? Doing everything for the love of it sounds like a poor people thing. 1 person buys a game and up to 4 people get to enjoy it? Hahaha no. Online. Everyone has to have their own copy of the game. When you really think about it, if you have friends you get to hang outside after a couple of hours of gameplay and NOT play games, so scratch the whole co-op with friends idea. You are now put in a "matchmaking" lobby with complete strangers that you never get to meet again. It's pretty devious.
Im curently enjoying quake 2 with a good friend, we always meet on a saturday to order some food, smoke some weed and then play some Video games and eat some munchies, its always great
A nice list list thanks. Gauntlet on the PS 4/5 is called Gauntlet Slayer Edition and is deffo one of my favourite couch co-op games of this era. Such right controls. Shame it will never get a sequel. But the studio went on to make Helldivers 2.

Nowadays theres not lot of multiplayer CO-OP games splitscreen. I hope someday there are tons of good CO-OP couch splitscreen multiplayer in the future just like PS 2. They forgot what console used to be, when you just having fun with friends, not the virtual one. But real ones

Split screen =/= local co op Competitive games like crash racing or mk are by definition not cooperative and shouldn't be on the list, good list otherwise
I built a mini ITX for my living room TV last year with a R5 5600, RX6600XT, 32gb and 1tb ssd for $560. The 8700G is a cool chip but it isn't revolutionary nor will it be replacing entry level GPUs.
