This video shows you how to install CarPlay Android Auto VLine VL2 navigation and infotainment system into Nissan Armada 2013 2014 205 2016 2017 to integrate into the existing factory car stereo.
You will need to take the stereo out to connect to the back of the stereo and display. Once you install the VLine VL2 system into the Nissan Armada vehicle, you will get a fully functional Android navigation and infotainment system integrated into your car stereo. In addition, you will get smartphone integration for CarPlay and Android Auto - both wired and wireless.
This particular vehicle is a Nissan Armada 2014. In this video, we show how to disassemble the Nissan Armada 2014 dashboard, take out the factory stereo, and connect the GROM VLine VL2 infotainment and navigation system.

When the VLine system is connected to the factory stereo in compatible Nissan and Infiniti vehicles, it adds CarPlay, Android Auto, and an embedded Android interface to the existing factory car stereo.

In the Nissan Armada, will the microphone and hone buttons work for CarPlay? Or do you have to run new microphone?
In the Nissan Armada you will have to install the microphone that comes with VLine system. The car stereo buttons will work with CarPlay.
i’ve seen many replies specifying that navigation is required, but is bluetooth media streaming as well? my 2011 armada platinum has bluetooth calls, but it doesn’t have bluetooth media streaming. would this pose an issue or does the product work regardless/have a standalone bluetooth connection you must connect to? i also noticed your description excludes the mention of a few armada years, does this mean this product can’t work with those models?
The system is compatible with Nav and non-Nav stereos, you just need to check the specific compatibility for your particular vehicle model and year. You can check on our website, gromaudio.com
Simply select car make/model/year from the drop-down menu on the home page (Find what fits your car). The stereo does not need to have Bluetooth media, it is not a requirement for compatibility.
Will it work with a 2011 Nissan Armada with Bose? Also will the main oem, screen still be accessible or the backup camera? And can I install apps directly to it instead of using AirPlay like UA-cam?
Hello, 2011 Nissan Armada is compatible with GROM VLine VL2 system as long as the stereo has factory navigation. Check here:

The main OEM screen will still keep working, you will be using the mail OEM screen for the VLine VL2 integration, and you can switch back and forth between OEM and VLine user interfaces. You will still be able to use the FM radio and backup camera.
With GROM VLine VL2 system you can install the apps directly to the VLine unit, or you can use the wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.

Im guessing that with this install i will lose function of other oem integration like fuel economy, climate control display etc? 2012 armada platinum, bose, with nav.
No, you will not lose any of the OEM functions, except the factory USB port as the USB function is your car will be taken over the VLine system.
However, you can also integrate the factory USB port to work with the VLine VL2 for CarPlay and Android Auto via USB.

How do you switch between the original screen function and the CarPlay?
You just exit VLine mode and go to the other stereo mode. For example, if you want to use FM, you will press the FM button on your stereo or select it from the stereo screen menu. On this specific stereo, it is a MODE button.
