The iPad apps would benefit greatly for new users by categorizing the blend modes as the desktop app does. It’s a tiny thing that could bring huge benefit and the iPad apps desperately need such help.
Hi Trent, I want to apply multiply to a shape that I previously added gradient overlay, but it won´t work, I mean no matter what blend mode I pick, none of them works. Does this require some configuration or definitely I need to deactivate the layer effects for the blend mode to work? I come from photoshop and this was not a problem there so I wonder if there´s a solution in Affinity Photo
Hi @zeronz87, I see what you mean. Here's a hack that worked for me: put your shape with the gradient overlay in a group by itself. Then, with the GROUP selected, change it's blend mode. That should have have the same effect as if the blend mode was just applied on the shape. Hope this helps! - Trent
