- Hello boys and girls! Ford Thurston is back to demonstrate the Looking Glass Overdrive Pedal.
Whether you want a tiny bit of dirt to boost your tone or go for a full on pushed amp sound, the Looking Glass can accomplish both and anywhere in between. It's asymmetrical clipping is so responsive that even your pick attack will change the character of the sounds.

The filter on the right is pre drive, the bass and treble cut knobs on the left are post-drive, the dip switches inside are to adjust the input for buffered/unbuffered signal. It comes from the factory set up to receive unbuffered signal(first pedal in the chain) you can adjust the switches if you want something else in front of it or if you use active pickups.
Mr. Thurston reminded me of Torre Florim from the Dutch band De Staat at first sight! Haha, I'm very stoked for this pedal to arrive today.

It seems to sound like it reduces the dynamics of the notes to essentially just 'on' or 'off'. Any sensitivity in the playing is lost. You end up with a cheap transistor amp sound. I played through several devices but came to the same conclusion.
Clive Barrell wow I just finally got this thing and I find the exact polar opposite of your comment! The dynamics and clarity are insane.
