People are missing half the awesomeness of this band if the dont turn on the subtitles. The lyrics are otherworldly.

Ningen Isu havent been too popular in the Japanese mainstream media. The music industry in Japan for the most part is very much like the U.S. you described where people get bored of the 'old stuff' so quickly, and pop songs are consumed like fast food/candies. Their popularity comes from how different they are compared to other artists. It is certainly not to downplay how good they are as musicians, but I just wanted to let you know that they dont quite represent what the rest of the Japanese music market looks and sounds like.

They have several songs with the lyrics based on Cosmic horror author H.P. Lovecraft's stories. ALSO, they do not sound like other Japmetal bands, these guys are old school. WATCH Colour out of Space with Captioning on, interesting adaptation of Lovecrafts story lyrically.

Suzuki Ken-ichi studied russian literature and Wajima Shinji studied buddism. That is why they dress like this. Most of this bands songs are inspired by literature (like the name of band comes from a story of Edogawa Rampo).
I dont like the lyrics of this one so much (it is Lovecraft's Color out of space). They are very easy lyrics. With some of the songs they are much more philosophical and use more metaphors and so on. It is more interesting to me.
They are around since 87 so I think they will be around till they can not play anymore ^^''. But it is so cool they get more views in different countries now and can get on foreign tour now!
If you do one more song from Ningen Isu, please listen Lovers' Suicide in Shinagawa. (The sound is very familiar but they put twist on it which connects modern and traditional sound so well. I love this song very much).
And please listen to Dir en grey - Vinushka! X3
    Thank you!

I am happy to hear that we might see more reactions of this band.
I really dig their most current album and I'll see if I can see them live now that I have seen that they visit the EU.

Ningen Isu - right from the start - have been playing a blend of hard rock/heavy rock/doom metal/stoner metal/heavy prog/heavy psych/alternative rock. Their look has changed over the years too. Any album is good though some are just better than others. Many of their most interesting songs don’t have videos. I agree with other commenters that you should watch Namahage, Love Nirvana, and also Life For Sale. But there’s so much great music from them!

Hi guys Robby from Australia,, I hate it when reactors compare a song or band to another band but here am I doing just that , you mentioned that there music goes deep and so I now find myself thinking of Hawkwind,, there music just takes you into another dimension,,,the more I listen the more I like it ,,, these guys have been together for 30 years ,, so you can find early live shows when the bass player had hair ,,the few concerts I’ve seen have been awsome ,, so thanks for your positive reviews on this wonderful band ,,,Robby Aus.❤️❤️❤️🎸👍

      X Japan with no Seikima-II or Versailles/Jupiter ?
      Concerto Moon
If you are including Loudness (which I agree with), throw in Show-Ya. The ladies are still killing it.
Lovebites, Cyntia, Unlucky Morpheus, maybe Mary's Blood. D Drive if you dig that Joe Satriani/Tony MacAlpine old Shrapnel Records sound.

I suggest you check out Asterism- Rising Moon. They are another Japanese 3-piece group but they only do instrumental. Also check out the group Lovebites- Shadowmaker. They are an all-female power metal group from Japan and they sing their songs in English.

    • @puffdadico6063

rathifiend Asterism will show you how young generations are growing now these days in Japan since they are very young like 16 and 17.
They are coming from the totally opposite side of stardom and yet still appreciate the classic rock and metal heritage of what we have witnessed for decades.
Just don’t get it how these young kids have been embraced with all the goodies we have listed to.,.

Love the fierce return of these molten mad MOFOS to UR!! Big fan of their demonesque Gene Simmons counterpart!! Ralph Macchio needs to
do a geriatric update/reboot of "The Karate Kid", perhaps call it "The Karate Alter Kocker" and insist that these dudes do a metallized version of
"You're The Best"! P.S., love that sweet gong sweetening and the oh-so-epic T. Iommi-esque guitar action... These dudes smoke Band-Maid and
at least you know that any and all appreciation has nothin' to do with IMPOTENT decisions made by the DEVIL's JOYSTICK. (oh no he didn't!!!!)
