I'm new to EVs..... just trying demostrators ATM. My experience so far has me asking why the maximum range is the norm when discusing range snd charging. I humbly suggest that the "norm" should be how far you get from 20 to 80% (as 80% is what you get charging at EV charging networks). By all means give the 100% range as well, but it's NOT what you would do as good practice! You wouldn't drive your maximum range in a petrol or diesel car. When you get to only 20% left you would fill up again! John Eaton
Traveling up from southeast England on the A1 M1 I used Gridserve and found them to be trouble-free and fast... reuslt!!....also the Gridserve chargers at Annandale (M74) are now up and running there are six 350kW CCS.
@@electricfocus1710 currently new rapid chargers being installed at the retail park near Stevenston, some proper fast chargers at last in the area.. and not before time, until recently there was only a 50kw in Irvine..
so if I understand well in case chargers are plenty enough on your way the faster way is to charge to around 60% rather than 80% due to the slower charging after 60%, that’s what’s ABRP seems to do on long trip planning
Going this year but worried that there's going to be massive queues as hundreds of evs descend into Harrogate, were local ones really busy I'm guessing from what you saw?

Correct. The only issue is charger availability…

It depends where you are coming from. I came down from Scotland and no issues.
