This should get WAYYY more views because it is not only BRILLIANT but also FANTASTIC!!! Supercorp is definitely the modern version of Clois but without the actual physical/romantic intimacy (even though there is strong romantic undertones beneath the surface). Like Clois, Supercorp have a beautiful friendship, a true companionship, a deep and heartfelt connection and not to mention there are soooo many parallels it isn't even funny. It doesn't matter which version of Clois it is, Supercorp have so many moments that are similar to Clois (whether it's Tom & Erica's Clois, or Dean & Teri's Clois, or Henry & Amy's Clois, or Tyler & Elizabeth's Clois or even Christopher & Margot's Clois or the animated version of Clois). The most unexpected yet telling parallel of all that I saw was the famous almost reveal scenes between Clois and Supercorp, where both Clark and Kara took off their glasses and was about to reveal their identities to Lois and Lena respectively. That almost reveal scene w/ Clois was back in one of the classic Superman films w/ Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder. Another interesting yet hilarious parallel was in 4x20 when Lena landed the plane and Kara's glasses was lop-sided and when Lena asked if she was alright, Kara repiled "I must have passed out". Cut to a similar scene where Margot's Lois yelled out to Christopher's Clark, who was lying against the wall w/ his glasses lop-sided and when Lois asked "what happened?", he replied w/ "I must have fainted". I swear there are WAYYY too parallels between Clois and Supercorp to be a coincidence. To me, Supercorp is the true love story like Clois but sadly the writers refuse to go there.
@@christinacostello9800 Yeah sadly they didn't have the courage to push the envelope by going all the way w/ Supercorp. Their story literally wrote itself. The thing that drives me crazy is when it's a het ship, shows have no problem giving into fan service (ex: Oliver/Felicity, Chuck/Blair, Damon/Elena, Stiles/Lydia, etc). But when it's a same-sex ship w/ obvious chemistry, story potential and a huge fandom, they won't go there (ex: Kara/Lena, Dean/Castiel, Emma/Regina, Merlin/Arthur, etc).
The last children of Krypton Lost their families, now, in the Earth they found New parents and their loves. Kara and Kal are the gods that felt in love with two extraordinary women
I always felt like Supergirl writers took a lot of inspiration from Smallville. If they were going to build Supercorp into a friendship, why not choose the Smallville relationship that would have had an equal amount of callback? Clark and Lex had plenty of iconic moments in that show and people would have understood that Kara and Lena were just friends. But that's not what they did, they mimicked Clois, that doesn't seem like a mistake to me. You chose some of the most romantic Clois moments for Supercorp your sending a message the audience. That's my opinion anyway

I absolutely love these comparisons. The Supergirl writers totally used Clois for Supercorp and then have the audacity to say they are just friends
