I don't know why nobody has brought this up, but I think they are going to bring back the Denver Outlaws. The Outlaws regularly posted the highest attendance in the MLL. Large built in fan base already.
I think that's on the docket, for sure. I think Greg was right with the Archers in the Rockies, but I think they get rebranded as the Outlaws and land in Denver.
I think the water dogs should be renamed the Hounds and bring a team back to Charlotte and the Carolinas. Missing a huge growing lacrosse market in the Carolinas that is slept on! A ton of youth teams and high schools in Charlotte for a fan base.

1. New England Cannons: I think they would end up playing at Gillette and change the market name to New England to align with the Patriot and Revolution. Plus it would open them up to play in the other New England States occasionally. 2. New York Archers: Primarily because this club already has colors that fans in the NYC metro would connect to. They would likely play in Long Island though. 3. Whipsnakes: Just like the host suggested I think they will represent the Baltimore-Washington area. Giving them availability to play home games in Annapolis, Baltimore or DC until the league is able to expand. At some point Baltimore and DC should probably have their own teams though. Whenever that day comes Whipsnakes to DC, expansion team to Baltimore. 4. Charlotte Waterdogs: I think they are going to try to put a team in the southeast. Charlotte is the best immediate option for that. I also believe this one of the most likely clubs to be rebranded. They already have a dog name, so they could become a new Charlotte Hounds. 5. Texas Atlas: in total agreeance with the host on this one. Plus if teams are going to represent states and regions, this team could play home games in the Austin and Houston areas as well as the DFW area. 6. Minnesota Chrome: This is who I think will be the "great lakes team". I think parts of their identity would be easy for fans in MN to connect to. The gladiator helmet logo may give fans a subconscious link to the Vikings, and their colors (black, light blue and pink) are similar to Minnesota United of MLS. Chrome is another team that I feel should rebrand. Keep the logo and colors, but change the name. Some type of warrior name would go great with that logo, Minnesota Gladiators/Centurion/Knights/etc. 7. San Jose Redwooods: Redwood trees are predominantly found in Northern California. PLL has already held events at Pay Pal Park in San Jose 🤷🏾♂ 8. Rocky Mountain Chaos: This is an either/or situation for me. This team either needs to be based in the Salt Lake City or Denver areas IMO. PLL has an existing relationship with Real Salt Lake as far as use of their venues. The 2020 bubble tournament was held at the RSL training facility. I agree with Rabil on not liking the name Chaos, If this club lands in Utah they should be renamed the Utah Scorpions. It would allow them to keep the same branding as far as logos, and many sports fans in UT are already fond of Chaos' colors due to the University of Utah.... The other option Denver. We all no Denver is a hotbed for lacrosse. They would be crazy not to consider it. As it stands now, the Colorado Rapids in MLS are not doing to well. Their ownership may want to bring in a PLL team to play at the stadium in Commerce City to make up for the losses in attendance the Rapids have had due to poor performance and other issues I won't get into. A rebrand would also be necessary if they went to Denver. They would have to be rebranded as new Denver Outlaws... Just like with Baltimore and DC, as the league expands both SLC and Denver should have their own teams. For now the PLL needs to pick which Rocky Mountain city they want to place a team

@@thestapler True, good point, about the first champion. But I don't know which genius ever thought "Whipsnakes" was a good idea to begin with. Obviously they went totally Woke by creating team names that can't potentially offend anyone... so you're left with a bunch of uninspiring, disparate, milk toast team names. C'mon, Waterdogs?? Let's just pray that "Atlas" never owned slaves.
@@TheFujiwuji I don't understand how those names could be considered "woke" on any level 🤷🏾♂ Whipsnakes and waterdogs are animals that exist in the real world. They are also unique within the world of team names. Naming teams nowadays is not easy. If you come up with something too generic, you'll get clowned for it. You come up with something unique, and you'll get clowned for it. While I admit most of the PLL names aren't great (the same can be said about most of the MLL and NLL names too), I'd rather have something original and unique than a generic name that thousands of youth, high school and college teams all over the country already use.
@@thestapler Well, I think most would agree that the Washington "Commanders" name totally blows, as does the Cleveland "Guardians". So the trend in team names has to go through the Woke filter in the current day of political correctness. Chrome, Atlas, Chaos, Redwoods are decent, but Waterdogs seems lame... I just think of a wet dog. And whipsnakes? It's not even a cool snake... I'm not a reptile expert, but it conjures up images of a thin, wiry garden snake. Archers is better, but it's a bit antiquated, I think of medieval warfare.
I have alot of the same ideas as Greg Heres my thoughts: Boston Cannons obviously Metropolitan Waterdogs because Barstool Bigcat owns the team and Erika Nardini, CEO of Barstool Sports, was recently elected to the PLL board of directors. Barstool is headquartered in NYC. I think they will try to include NYC, long Island, and Philly somehow. The Premier Hockey Federation has the Metropolitan Riviters too. Pacific Redwoods. Same reason as Greg. New York Chaos. Chaos have too big of a fanbase in my opinion to remove. They have been in the Championship hunt too many times. They have a lot of players that are on the Buffalo Bandits and they have the Canadian/Box lacrosse style. I think this will be the Buffalo / Albany area. I think PLL will want a team here because of the lacrosse roots with the Haudenosaunee. Chesapeake Whipsnakes. Same reason as Greg Just seem to have the Maryland style and Maryland players South East Atlas: Pll goes to Charlotte regularly and NC loves their Carolina blue. I think they will include Basically everything from Virginia to Florida but be have their stadium in Charlotte. This will cover a lot of large lacrosse markets like Tarheels fans, Duke, UVA, and the up and coming Jacksonville fans Denver Outlaws (or new Colorado team). Established fan base that regularly had high attendance in the MLL. Denver has been a leader in western lacrosse growth for awhile. Mammoth have been doing well and seem to have fan support (I don't follow indoor as much so I don't know the attendance stats). Bonus points if Bill Teirney retired from NCAA to coach a Denver team Great lakes Archers. I think there will be a greatlakes team because PLL goes there frequently, and Lacrosse has its roots in this area. I think the archers because there used to be a lot of players involved in the Utah/great lakes lax organizations. I do think many of them have been traded but it sounded better then the greatlakes Chrome to me. Vegas Chrome. Same reasons as Greg. Its the only place I think chrome will fit lol Texas (new team) Panthers maybe?!? there's a lot they could do but I think they will be based out of Dallas or Forth Worth and represent all of Texas. Its a growing market and I dont think any of the other teams sound good here lol I think there are enough good players coming out of college and not playing anywhere from the MLL that 2 more teams is easily possible and that will be a full 10 week season so they wont need to have some teams be home more then once.
Bring back the Bayhawks (for Baltimore) and the Outlaws (for Denver). The Cannons to Boston is obvious! Then after that…Vegas Whipsnakes…Raleigh Redwoods…San Antonio Atlas…Minneapolis Waterdogs…Albany Archers…Philadelphia Chrome and bring back the Connecticut Hammerheads but to Chicago to round it out!

Obviously they went totally Woke by creating team names that can't potentially offend anyone... so you're left with a bunch of uninspiring, disparate, milk toast team names. C'mon, Waterdogs?? Let's just pray that "Atlas" never owned slaves.
@@TheFujiwuji I don't understand how those names could be considered "woke" on any level 🤷🏾♂
Whipsnakes and waterdogs are animals that exist in the real world.
I have alot of the same ideas as Greg
Heres my thoughts:
Boston Cannons obviously
Metropolitan Waterdogs because Barstool Bigcat owns the team and Erika Nardini, CEO of Barstool Sports, was recently elected to the PLL board of directors.
Same reason as Greg Just seem to have the Maryland style and Maryland players
South East Atlas: Pll goes to Charlotte regularly and NC loves their Carolina blue. I think they will include Basically everything from Virginia to Florida but be have their stadium in Charlotte. This will cover a lot of large lacrosse markets like Tarheels fans, Duke, UVA, and the up and coming Jacksonville fans
Denver Outlaws (or new Colorado team). Established fan base that regularly had high attendance in the MLL. Denver has been a leader in western lacrosse growth for awhile. Mammoth have been doing well and seem to have fan support (I don't follow indoor as much so I don't know the attendance stats). Bonus points if Bill Teirney retired from NCAA to coach a Denver team
Great lakes Archers.
Its the only place I think chrome will fit lol
Texas (new team) Panthers maybe?!? there's a lot they could do but I think they will be based out of Dallas or Forth Worth and represent all of Texas. Its a growing market and I dont think any of the other teams sound good here lol
I think there are enough good players coming out of college and not playing anywhere from the MLL that 2 more teams is easily possible and that will be a full 10 week season so they wont need to have some teams be home more then once.
Need a team in ATL!!!
All this talk makes me want the PLL to release stats on which cities/regions have been the best and worst for their turnout and ratings.
MIAMI CROME
All 50 states need a pll team 😉
can we just get a socal team in like sam deigo or los angeles
That would be sick
No love in the southern states I see:/
Chrome in North Carolina makes more sense to me
Bring back the Bayhawks (for Baltimore) and the Outlaws (for Denver).
