Season 2 of 'The Lore of Stronghold' is upon us! Join Firefly Studios veteran and series narrator Matt, as we delve into the privileged upbringing and tumultuous medieval adulthood of Stronghold 2 protagonist Sir William. The fan-favourite "Noble Lord" is in the lore spotlight this week, with a deep dive of William's tribulations and epic redemption, proving himself worthy of knighthood and understanding the price of true chivalry.
Stronghold 2 introduced a greater level of graphical fidelity to the Stronghold series, but also a larger focus on cinematics and story driven gameplay. The game itself and its 'Path of War' campaign was a much greater ask than the first Stronghold, with player choice and a greater persistence between missions. The scope and ambition here was fresh for the franchise and something that still inspires us today. So join us as we revisit beloved characters and the many other fine details that make up the DNA of the original 'castle sim'.

I’ll always think the Stronghold 1 / Crusader’s 2D art style the best however there is indeed something special about Stronghold 2 and how the castles and citizens seem so alive and well designed. If you’re gonna do 3D use this style as a template!

Sir William is so beautiful, I've looked at him for five hours now.
I loved this game, sinse i was 6 or 7 years old i started playing stronghold 2, i am 22 now and i still play it, id love to hear the history of every character, i always felt sir william was way too trusting of others, its good (i think) to hear that he lost that trust after the civil war.
I loved the campaing, but i always felt it was too quick but still loved it.
The Style and Visuals of Stronghold 2 still amaze me to this day…One of the Best in the Stronghold Series.

I truly miss Stronghold 2, it is my fav game of maybe all time. I have so many meories of early 2000s with me and my friends. bring this feeling back would be amazing. Stronghold 2 steam needs AI in multiplayer and we need a real stronghold game ya know I hope one day. I will always respect Firefly love you guys so much :)
I wish there be a remake of stronghold2 or a continues version of it maybe the child of Mathew or so... Even a movie from the game!

Well, I'm a bit upset actually because there was no word about the bad path of this military campaign. But still the video of William is really great, there are new interesting details about the Noble Lord I've learned ✨ Now I can't wait for the episode 2 with Matthew to finally see his face and learn more about his personality 💙✨
