I discovered god this morning. My circumstances most of my life made me become someone I’m absolutely ashamed of. I never wanted to acknowledge it. But God said no, you will see. If anyone gets a chance to see THE LETTER BLACK..Do it..They will not let you down...They are very inspirational.....
8 years later I'm replying lol. I had the chance to see them back in 2010 maybe 2011. Coincidentally it happened after my dad passed and when I fell into a deep depression and was contemplating suicide. Their song hanging on by a thread saved my life

The honesty of these lyrics gets me. These days, people try to appear perfect and "happy" -- even those who are regular churchgoers, just so people can see the "joy" in them. They think Christians who have no "joy" in them are not true Christians.

This song is epic not just because of some soaring vocals and awesome production, but because it is so heart felt. Coming to the end of ourselves and realizing He is all we need is truly transforming. When this reality takes hold of us it is a true metamorphisis, where we leave our old lives behind and begin to soar with the angels. I hope this is where His love finds you tonight......T

Thanks brother. Reality is sobering but at least it's not the same reality that this world is soon to face. Life without the Rock is a reality that is more like a nightmare than something real. I am thankful I came to my senses especially given the horrifying alternative. God was good when I was not and rescued me from myself. It is hard to express how thankful I am but loving others is a start....T

This band totally rocks ! Great vocals, cool vibe, killer guitars, bas,, drums, and lyrics. I just discovered them. Loving it. I'm the bass player and backup singer for the "BFC Full Throttle Band"... we want to get heavier and this is a cool direction.

Jesus is the only one we need, but it is awesome that He uses our brothers and sisters to bless us and to point us to Christ when we are struggling or feeling low. The devil has his crew, but God has an blessed alternative when it comes to music. The Letter Black and especially this song is a positive alternative that blesses those who listen and gives glory to where glory is due. Rock on, The Letter Black.

The Only One unfortunately didn't get the final cut for this album. The other two songs mentioned are in the "Hanging On By a Thread Sessions" EPs.
Which strange, because I think it's the best song recorded for Rebuild. This song and the music video is a masterpiece.

Their new album doesn't come out until November; and when November comes I am sooo buying it! And sure their lyrics don't rhyme much and all, but they don't water down the message. They put it out strait and tell you what's going on and what needs to be done. I like that in their lyrics.
So I just remember they released a new album. I passed it over at first because I figured no way could it be good considering the last one. Here's hoping. If I could have a copy of the first album without the vocals in it, I would buy it. The lyrics ruined the entire album, every song but Hanging On by A Thread had cliche, redundant and cheesy lyrics. These seem to be better. The rest of the band still sound the same though. The vocals themselves were fine on the first but the lyrics. Just, no.
Don't bother, fourclawrider is completely oblivious to the fact that the sub-genres of metal he mentioned in his reply to you is, in fact, metal as they contain elements of such. They must be so asphyxiated in their opinion that the only metal to them is something labeled as 'metal' and nothing else. They're pretty much saying that all sub-genres are not related to their root-genre at all which is a pretty stupid thing to say lol.

that name has no meaning to it. it was actually as an inside joke thing, the band members were just tossing around some band name ideas and i think one of their friends that was with them just said "why dont you name it The Letter Black" so theres no actual meaning to the name
