As someone who makes videos (but is not an influencer) with a corporate job, I know it’s hard not to feel bad about not landing a corporate job but it’s just not a guarantee. The best way to get your foot in the door is through internship programs, once university is completed. You could be perfect on paper and the interviewer just gravitated towards another applicant or the other applicants are grossly overqualified. It’s even hard for ppl that went to the best schools and got the best grades too, so don’t take it personal. Also, apply outside of your course of study if you’re open to it. You could study psychology and work at a financial institution. Most of the ppl I know, including myself, do not work in their field of study. Job hunting is a mixed bag… you don’t always get the ones you think you want, and you get offers for the jobs you’re not really thrilled about. PRO TIP: if you take a job out of desperation for money, don’t stop job searching until you get something better. Sometimes, you’ll get stuck at that low paying job because the work has been so draining that you’re distracted from your ultimate goal. Hope the buss ears helped someone! 🫶🏼
Yes, I had my first interview just after graduating from high school in 2019, but no one ever called me back. I was extremely let down as a youngster and stop searching for awhile. However, I tried again in 2020 and worked for nearly a year, but it wasn't for me and so I jump in Uni 2021 lmao 🤦🏽♀🥲
