Possibly the only video or article so far that talks about the Transform tool and how to use its different features! I've been searching and searching, and you'r ethe only one who has explained these things. So, thank you! This is gold! :) 👍👍
I'm so glad it helps, I might have made a few mistakes when creating this video. It is my first time speaking on video and first time doing a tutorial but if it helps overall then I am happy. Thank you!
This has been the MOST helpful video to me. I have been playing with SB mode and the roof has been the MOST frustrating thing to me. Now maybe I can actually finish the 3 houses I have foundation and walls down for.
I honestly love how much detail you put into telling us the little details that we, the players mostly, are in desperate need of. Edit: you’re outstanding. You put so much rigorous emphasis and effort into the genuinely underlining the crucial elements we had no idea how to make sense of when approaching. Thank you so much.👍👍👍😇😇😊 7:12 is the only tiny thing I wanted to fix the house; that thing that wasn’t centered would’ve annihilated me too much, lol. Great video 10/10.
Thank you! I am really happy the video ended up being helpful. I have never been very good at explaining things, sometimes I don't have the words but I am glad that it worked out this time. And yes, I would never leave the window like that if I was actually building a house....that would drive me insane. 😊
Fantastic tutorial! Grateful for the valuable tips. Finally learned how to do sidewalk right in the first minute 😂 Looking forward to more - hoping you’ll turn this into a series! Please do one on kitchen design.
Oh my god Gigi - this is AMAZING and SO helpful!!!! I am on day five of my first custom build (why did I choose something so BIG to make first?? 😅😭😭😭) and I am still learning and now you've just added a whole other layer of detail to our capabilities!!!! Brb - off to put cushions EVERYWHERE 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tysm for this!!! Sandbox mode had me totally lost this morning 😩😭💕💕💕💕💕🙏🏽 Idk why but coming from Sims 4, house flipper 1 & 2 both seem like they * should * be so much more complicated than ts4, but they are both so much more enjoyable to me that I usually don't even notice!!!
Would also absolutely LOVE more in depth tutorials, keybindings and keyboard shortcuts in particular would be helpful to me, but anything you have time for and feel like making would be amazingly helpful ☺️☺️☺️🥰🥰💕
When I first played sandbox mode I was pretty frustrated so instead of building a house right away I just started using every tool and every option to see what they did. Once I learned the tools it got a lot easier and so much more fun. It is similar to ts4 in the ability to do certain things like terrain negotiation and free item movement but the tools to do those things are a bit more clunky. Yet for some reason I have a lot more fun playing House Flipper than Sims. I'm glad this video was able to help. I am putting out another "tutorial" explaining how to create a job and put your house on mod.io but after that I can look at other tutorial videos that review some of the tools in more depth. Thank you for your comments! 😊
Thank you so much! I needed a bridge for one of my builds and I had seen someone post a shot of them going straight up looking like a ladder so I figured I would see if I could make them super flat like a bridge.
I came upon your vid by accident...and watched and learned from the whole thing! Good job! :D What I was looking for (and still haven't found) is a video on how to make a sloped roof. I have tried so many times and always fail. I've been looking for an instructional vid for quite awhile, and I'm sure YOU could make one! :D I accidentally deleted the sloped roof on a building I was remodeling and have yet to figure out how to replace it, and I have been unable to find video help. Thanks!
A very clear and detailed tutorial that speaks to us in a real, natural manner. I will certainly return to this when i start playing. And just to be clear......did you say we can tunnel underground? So many additional opportunities running through my head now for potential builds. So looking forward to my journey. Thank you Gigi for this wonderful guide.🙂
Yes, you can build underground and make a "tunnel" of sorts. Once you understand how the terrain is designed in HF2 it makes more sense. It's literally a layer of ground and then empty space underneath so it would not be true tunneling like in Planet Coaster or Planet Zoo. But you could make a tunnel out of rocks. People are making houses underground like hobbit houses. The terrain negotiation just takes some fiddling with to get it right. I'm glad you liked the tutorial. It was the first time I put my voice on video so it was uncomfortable for sure but I thought that it could be helpful. 😊
I did wonder if sharing your voice was an uncomfortable experience. Huge credit to you for pushing through. The result was a truly helpful little guide. Thank you for explaining the underground building too. It still sounds like an engaging experience. Builds will be reaching new and amazing levels.🙂
I have has so many issues with adding a roof in general. Also when you fill in the gap on the gable you added what do you do to not have to delete the extra bricks, They doent seem to even appear for you at all when you even go out past the actual gable. I am sure its a setting that I an not getting set in advance. You have great videos I have learned a lot already.
Thank you! There is a setting for that. When you have your wall tool out click Q. There are additional settings when you click Q. There is a box called Limited by roof. Click Yes, then when you build walls they will not go above the roof in most cases.
@@GiGiDesignGames you are awesome tysm!!! Please keep making these tutorials I know I love them and appreciate you doing them and I know others dio as well!!
Thanks for your video , it is really helpful for me :) Hope to know more info about House Flipper 2 And I want to say : I like yorur voice , I feel good and comfortable 😌😌
Oh that's a good idea! It was also suggested that you can use resizable beams. I really like how the community figures out different ways to do things. The game said "no diagonal walls", the community said "hold my beer!", lol
The chipboard is an item in sandbox that can be resizable. I have started using it a lot for borders, trims, and now diagonal walls. You use it to make it a wall instead of the way I was trying to make diagonal walls. It is definitely easier to manipulate. It doesn't have all the finishes available for it but it has most of them. @@tabbytiger2070
That was really helpful, especially the diagonal wall part, I'm totally going to use that. Also I would love another tutorial but on the mission part (for example, I still don't know how to add vacuumable things)
Thank you! I don't think you can add vacuumable things. I have looked for that as well and was unable to find anything but I can do a video on creating quests/missions in your build. I have not played with it very much so I will need to figure it out first but that is a very good idea for a video.
I saw other people using vacuumable in their build, so I think it can be done, I just don't know how. Also, I was playing with sandbox a few minutes ago, and it seems that beam can be used as diagonal wall. @@GiGiDesignGames
I’m building a brick interior wall (like a masonry wall) but I want to make it white, I’m getting no option for a colour change, or an ability to paint the wall white (in sandbox mode), am I able to do this?
I just tried to build one of your houses... I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong with the dimensions cause the bedroom was TINY. As in, I could fit a bed in there and nothing else lol Everything else fit fine but I could not make the bedroom work at all.
There is no curved roof but you can use a couple sloped roofs together to somewhat create this however I was unable to make it look really good. You can try to use the half inner curve pieces from sandbox only buy menu to create something and then add some trims. I just tried it in game and it does work depending on what you are looking for.
You can find the photos that you take here: C:\Users\gigigames\AppData\LocalLow\Frozen District\House Flipper 2\Profiles\0\Photos. I think you can just delete the duplicates.
Thank you! To use your own pictures in frames you need to save your pictures in the Documents/House Flipper 2/Pictures folder as a jpg. No other format will work. After you do that you should be able to see them on the user tab when you choose your picture. You can only use the picture frames for this. Hope this helps.
@buildingwithbeckyYT has a UA-cam video that explains a little about it. She has chapters in there so you can go to the Custom Artwork chapter at 5:00 and see if that helps. It depends on what the issue is. If is 2 roofs that are aligned perfectly but have a texture issue, you can use your transform/move (uncheck grid snap) and move the roof up or down the tiniest little bit. That will stop the texture flashing at you. If you are having issues with roofs clipping you can go to the options of the roof and play with the clipping options. Sometimes roofs just don't do what you want them to do.
If I'm understanding your question, you are asking how I am buying furniture without making money or having no money. This is sandbox mode so the money is unlimited. Story mode you have to have the money saved to purchase furniture on a purchased house. I'm not sure if this is what you are asking though. If that is not what you are asking, please ask again and I will try to answer.
@@GiGiDesignGames ok thanks, yes that's exactly what you understood I was asking. I was asking you why these days I'm trying to build houses and I noticed that some components (furniture) the money isn't enough to buy, that's why I was asking you. He won't let me buy it if the cost is too high
