    Hey mate planning to get these for gigs - confused between this and the 715 series. Are you happy with them

    • @djdrizzy
      @djdrizzy  Рік тому +1

      Yeah I do like them!
      Compared to the 715 these actually have a wider throw 100 degree angle verses the 90 degree angle that the 715 has
      The 915 also have a more powerful amp with 2,100 vs the 1400
      I also like the appearance vs the 715 but that’s just me..

      @@djdrizzy after asking you, and doing a bunch of research I ended up getting RCF but going with the RCF HDM45! They are like the 9 series where I definitely feel you about the size and wish I could tighten them on the pole!

      @@djdrizzy yeah bro just decided to go big cuz I was trying to get the most bass without buying subs! Honestly I felt like you said when you upgraded from the altos where it’s not as huge of a step up as the price you’re paying for haha (I had EV ZLX). The entry level speakers honestly hold their own, especially at the prices they’re at!

      I got the HDM45s. The built in DSP and crossover is nice. But the biggest difference for me is the throw. Vocals cut thru like a boss and carry very well

    Thanks for the review, seriously thinking of purchasing these this week.
    Have you ever played with the turbosound iQ15 tops? If you have, what would be your opinion on comparison?

    • @djdrizzy
      @djdrizzy  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching! I haven't heard or played with the iQ15 but I did notice one significant difference between the two speakers. The iQ15 has a 1in Driver and the RCF art 915 has a 1.75in driver. The driver is a little bigger which means you can probably throw sound a little farther with the RCF's. Something to think about.

    All the RCF from series 9 had the same problem with ducking when you are at high volume and the MC is speaking or yelling into the mic. The speaker is ducking for 2,3 seconds wich is awfull. The series 7 never had that problem

      Hey bro!
      as far as I know the AX has a digital mixer and has Bluetooth capability. So if those attributes sound good for you then it could be worth the extra price tag. For me and the capacity I use them I wouldn’t use those features so the regular RCF is good.

    I own a pair of these and the fun part is that they’re actually 400 watts RMS continuous. Nowhere near 2100 written on paper!

      @djdrizzy  11 місяців тому +2

      @@djdrizzyno it’s easier than you think. You have to look at the passive variants of the art 9 series. They’re called Compact A series from RCF.
      There’s the compact A 10 (passive art 910) compact A 12 (passive art 912) and compact A 15 (passive art 915).
      Passive speakers need external amps. So manufacturers are forced to tell the true power of the speaker, otherwise people would start blowing speakers everyday.
      The absolute only difference is between the compact A 15 and art 915 is that the art 915 features a less powerful woofer than the one found on the compact a 15.
      They’re both 15 inches but one has 2.5 inches voice coil while the other has 3 inches voice coil. (RCF choice)
      This means that the passive one can handle more power. The compact A can handle 450 Watts RMS. The art 915, as we said is less powerful, so it’s most likely going to be a 400 watts RMS speaker or even less.
      Forget what’s written on paper. Always compare to the relative passive variant to find true specs.

      Considering as you go further down their line
      You get up to $2000 a speaker or even $3000 a speaker for their wooden box line
