So far, I see no hooks in Threads to keep me scrolling. On the positive side, I love the clean UI and the multiple image arrangements. There are no ads yet, which is great. I think it would be nice if the app could develop a system to filter out spam comments. I am looking forward to the future of Threads.
I think threads is boring. I follow the same people and they use the same content from their other Social media. I don't see any value in it yet, the only thing I take away is that there are no ads yet and that keeps it clean. If the format in which content is created had changed a bit, maybe it would have been a bit revolutionary, tiktok-like. Although I do not doubt that in the future you can create reels there.
You have to appreciate that this is the perfect MVP though. It solves one key problem. Not overly complicated. The strategy is there. It's obvious Meta did not intentionally over engineer this as a v1.

Instagram took on TikTok in 2020 when it introduced Reels, offering some creators as much as $10,000 to post their videos on the app. 3. A feature that was already available on rivals including Telegram and Signal to edit msg within 15 min is available in Whatsapp.
